Dvije nove studije njemačkih znanstvenika ukazuju na to da su se u više od tri četvrtine pacijenata koji su se nedavno oporavili od covida-19 razvili dugoročni srčani problemi, čak i ako njihovo stanje nije zahtijevalo hospitalizaciju. Rezultate istraživanja njemački liječnici objavili su u ponedjeljak u časopisu JAMA Cardiology.

Rezultate magnetske rezonance srca (MRI) obavljene na stotinu oporavljenih od covida-19 liječnici su usporedili s rezultatima iste pretrage obavljene na stotinu osoba koje nisu bile zaražene koronavirusom. Prosječna dob ispitanika bila je 49 godina, a dvije trećine bolesnika oporavilo se kod kuće. 

Nakon nešto više od dva mjeseca, među inficiranim je pacijentima uočena veća vjerojatnost za razvoj srčanih problema u odnosu na ispitanike iz kontrolne skupine.

Pokazalo se da su kod velike većine pacijenata, njih 78 dogodila nastala ozbiljna oštećenja srčanog mišića, poput onih koja se javljaju nakon srčanog udara.

Šezdeset i sedam pacijenata oporavljalo se kod kuće, a stanje 33 pacijenta zahtijevalo je hospitalizaciju.

"Radi se o relativno mladim i zdravim pacijentima u dobi od 45 do 53 godine koji su se razboljeli u proljeće", rekla je dr. Valentina Puntmann, kardiologinja Sveučilišne bolnice u Frankfurtu koja je vodila MRI-studiju. "Mnogi od njih upravo su se vratili sa skijaškog odmora i nitko od njih nije mislio da ima problema sa srcem." 

"Činjenica da su se u 78 posto pacijenata koji su se 'oporavili' od covida-19 razvili ozbiljni srčani problemi, ukazuje na to da bolest kod većine ostavlja posljedice na srčani mišić, premda ne postoje uobičajeni simptomi srčanih bolesti, poput primjerice boli u prsima koja prati anginu pectoris”, pojasnila je Puntmann, dodavši kako smatra da bi, čim se pacijentu dijagnosticira covid-19 trebalo odmah djelovati i pratiti stanje srčanog mišića.

U sklopu druge studije analizirani su nalazi obdukcije 39 osoba koje su umrle na početku pandemije i čija je prosječna dob iznosila 85 godina. Kod njih 24 otkrivena je visoka razina virusa u srčanom mišiću. 
"Kod pacijenata s iznimno teškom kliničkom slikom uočili smo znakove viralne replikacije", rekao je dr. Dirk Westermann, kardiolog Sveučilišnog centra za srce i krvožilni sustav iz Hamburga.

"Još ne znamo kakve su dugoročne posljedice promjena u genskoj ekspresiji. Po podacima o drugim sličnim virusnim bolestima možemo zaključiti da teži oblik bolesti nema dobar ishod."

Kardiolozi zabrinuti

Rezultati obiju studija upućuju na to da bi se u mnogih pacijenata koji su preboljeli covid-19 moglo razviti zatajenje srca, stanje u kojemu ono ne može ispumpati dostatnu količinu krvi da bi zadovoljilo potrebe svih dijelova tijela za kisikom i hranjivim tvarima. Prerano je govoriti o tomu jesu li oštećenja u pacijenata koji se oporavljaju od covida-19 prolazna ili trajna, no kardiolozi su zabrinuti.

Obje studije ukazuju na to da kod osoba koje se zaraze covidom-19 postoji velika vjerojatnost za razvoj srčanih problema kasnije u životu, smatra dr. Matthew Tomey, kardiolog i docent na Medicinskom fakultetu Icahn koji djeluje u sklopu zdravstvenog sustava njujorške mreže bolnica Mount Sinai. 

"Postavlja se pitanje koliko dugo takve promjene traju i hoće li ovo stanje prerasti u nešto kronično ili će se stanje srčanog mišića s vremenom postupno poboljšavati", dodaje Tomey. 

Od početka pandemije osobe s kardiovaskularnim problemima, poput visokoga krvnog tlaka, bolesti koronarnih arterija ili zatajenja srca, znaju da su izložene većem riziku od infekcije i smrtnog ishoda. Veza između covida-19 i stvaranja krvnih ugrušaka pojavila se kasnije, nakon što su liječnici počeli s koronavirusom povezivati plućnu emboliju te moždani i srčani udar.

Dvije nove studije njemačkih znanstvenika ukazuju na to da su se u više od tri četvrtine pacijenata koji su se nedavno oporavili od covida-19 razvili dugoročni srčani problemi, čak i ako njihovo stanje nije zahtijevalo hospitalizaciju. Rezultate istraživanja njemački liječnici objavili su u ponedjeljak u časopisu JAMA Cardiology.

Rezultate magnetske rezonance srca (MRI) obavljene na stotinu oporavljenih od covida-19 liječnici su usporedili s rezultatima iste pretrage obavljene na stotinu osoba koje nisu bile zaražene koronavirusom. Prosječna dob ispitanika bila je 49 godina, a dvije trećine bolesnika oporavilo se kod kuće. 

Nakon nešto više od dva mjeseca, među inficiranim je pacijentima uočena veća vjerojatnost za razvoj srčanih problema u odnosu na ispitanike iz kontrolne skupine.

Pokazalo se da su kod velike većine pacijenata, njih 78 dogodila nastala ozbiljna oštećenja srčanog mišića, poput onih koja se javljaju nakon srčanog udara.

Šezdeset i sedam pacijenata oporavljalo se kod kuće, a stanje 33 pacijenta zahtijevalo je hospitalizaciju.

"Radi se o relativno mladim i zdravim pacijentima u dobi od 45 do 53 godine koji su se razboljeli u proljeće", rekla je dr. Valentina Puntmann, kardiologinja Sveučilišne bolnice u Frankfurtu koja je vodila MRI-studiju. "Mnogi od njih upravo su se vratili sa skijaškog odmora i nitko od njih nije mislio da ima problema sa srcem." 

"Činjenica da su se u 78 posto pacijenata koji su se 'oporavili' od covida-19 razvili ozbiljni srčani problemi, ukazuje na to da bolest kod većine ostavlja posljedice na srčani mišić, premda ne postoje uobičajeni simptomi srčanih bolesti, poput primjerice boli u prsima koja prati anginu pectoris”, pojasnila je Puntmann, dodavši kako smatra da bi, čim se pacijentu dijagnosticira covid-19 trebalo odmah djelovati i pratiti stanje srčanog mišića.

U sklopu druge studije analizirani su nalazi obdukcije 39 osoba koje su umrle na početku pandemije i čija je prosječna dob iznosila 85 godina. Kod njih 24 otkrivena je visoka razina virusa u srčanom mišiću. 
"Kod pacijenata s iznimno teškom kliničkom slikom uočili smo znakove viralne replikacije", rekao je dr. Dirk Westermann, kardiolog Sveučilišnog centra za srce i krvožilni sustav iz Hamburga.

"Još ne znamo kakve su dugoročne posljedice promjena u genskoj ekspresiji. Po podacima o drugim sličnim virusnim bolestima možemo zaključiti da teži oblik bolesti nema dobar ishod."

Kardiolozi zabrinuti

Rezultati obiju studija upućuju na to da bi se u mnogih pacijenata koji su preboljeli covid-19 moglo razviti zatajenje srca, stanje u kojemu ono ne može ispumpati dostatnu količinu krvi da bi zadovoljilo potrebe svih dijelova tijela za kisikom i hranjivim tvarima. Prerano je govoriti o tomu jesu li oštećenja u pacijenata koji se oporavljaju od covida-19 prolazna ili trajna, no kardiolozi su zabrinuti.

Obje studije ukazuju na to da kod osoba koje se zaraze covidom-19 postoji velika vjerojatnost za razvoj srčanih problema kasnije u životu, smatra dr. Matthew Tomey, kardiolog i docent na Medicinskom fakultetu Icahn koji djeluje u sklopu zdravstvenog sustava njujorške mreže bolnica Mount Sinai.

Od početka pandemije osobe s kardiovaskularnim problemima, poput visokoga krvnog tlaka, bolesti koronarnih arterija ili zatajenja srca, znaju da su izložene većem riziku od infekcije i smrtnog ishoda. Veza između covida-19 i stvaranja krvnih ugrušaka pojavila se kasnije, nakon što su liječnici počeli s koronavirusom povezivati plućnu emboliju te moždani i srčani udar.

Nove studije njemačkih znanstvenika: kardiolozi strahuju od trajnih srčanih oštećenja kod oporavljenih od covida-19

Dvije nove studije njemačkih znanstvenika ukazuju na to da su se u više od tri četvrtine pacijenata koji su se nedavno oporavili od covida-19 razvili dugoročni srčani problemi, čak i ako njihovo stanje nije zahtijevalo hospitalizaciju. Rezultate istraživanja njemački liječnici objavili su u ponedjeljak u časopisu JAMA Cardiology.

Rezultate magnetske rezonance srca (MRI) obavljene na stotinu oporavljenih od covida-19 liječnici su usporedili s rezultatima iste pretrage obavljene na stotinu osoba koje nisu bile zaražene koronavirusom. Prosječna dob ispitanika bila je 49 godina, a dvije trećine bolesnika oporavilo se kod kuće.
