Jedno je brinuti za zdravlje, a drugo je pretjerivati s jačanjem imuniteta, uzimanjem suplemenata bez liječničke preporuke i uvođenjem pojedinih zdravstvenih rituala koji tobože pomažu.

Ovo su četiri opasnosti koje vam više čine loše nego dobro zdravlju, a mnogi misle da su korisni.

Suplementi i lijekovi

Određeni dodaci prehrani mogu negativno utjecati na vaše zdravlje ukoliko ih kombinirate s lijekovima na recept, piše N1.

-Ekstrakt češnjaka, đumbira ili ginka potencijalno bi mogao djelovati s razrjeđivačima krvi i povećati rizik od krvarenja. Gospina trava se obično uzima za depresiju, ali može djelovati s drugim antidepresivima koji se uzimaju u isto vrijeme, rekao je specijalist interne medicine Ronan Factora.

Također, dodaci prehrani bez recepta mogu sadržavati opasne razine kofeina. Male količine  nisu opasne za većinu ljudi, a kako kaže Anne-Michelle Ruha, dr. med., medicinska toksikologinja, velike količine mogu povećati krvni tlak i ubrzati rad srca što može biti jako opasno.

Proteinski napitci

Istraživači projekta Clean Label provjerili su 134 različite vrste proteinskog praha i otkrili da mnoge sadrže opasne razine toksina, teških metala i BPA.

-Ne preporučujem korištenje proteinskih prahova osim u nekoliko slučajeva, i to samo uz nadzor, kaže registrirana dijetetičarka Kathy McManus.

Factora dodaje da može doći sa svojim skupom nuspojava, uključujući nadutost, dehidraciju i grčeve, ali one su privremene i traju samo dan prije kolonoskopije.

Zbog njih tisuće ljudi godišnje završe na hitnoj pomoći.

-Pacijenti brzo upadnu u nevolje kada uzmu snažne lijekove za mršavljenje izdane na recept izvan nadzora liječnika, još ako ih kombiniraju međusobno– posebno stimulanse koji imaju za cilj ubrzati metabolizam s ilegalnim supstancama poput metamfetamina ili kokaina,” kaže liječnik Michael Daignault.

-Pacijenti dolaze na hitnu s ubrzanim otkucajima srca i povišenim krvnim tlakom, promijenjenim ili uznemirenim mentalnim statusom, potencijalnim oštećenjem jetre ili bubrega te proljevom ili rektalnim krvarenjem, objavio je N1.

Jedno je brinuti za zdravlje, a drugo je pretjerivati s jačanjem imuniteta, uzimanjem suplemenata bez liječničke preporuke i uvođenjem pojedinih zdravstvenih rituala koji tobože pomažu.

Ovo su četiri opasnosti koje vam više čine loše nego dobro zdravlju, a mnogi misle da su korisni.

Suplementi i lijekovi

Određeni dodaci prehrani mogu negativno utjecati na vaše zdravlje ukoliko ih kombinirate s lijekovima na recept, piše N1.

-Ekstrakt češnjaka, đumbira ili ginka potencijalno bi mogao djelovati s razrjeđivačima krvi i povećati rizik od krvarenja. Gospina trava se obično uzima za depresiju, ali može djelovati s drugim antidepresivima koji se uzimaju u isto vrijeme, rekao je specijalist interne medicine Ronan Factora.

Također, dodaci prehrani bez recepta mogu sadržavati opasne razine kofeina. Male količine  nisu opasne za većinu ljudi, a kako kaže Anne-Michelle Ruha, dr. med., medicinska toksikologinja, velike količine mogu povećati krvni tlak i ubrzati rad srca što može biti jako opasno.

Proteinski napitci

Istraživači projekta Clean Label provjerili su 134 različite vrste proteinskog praha i otkrili da mnoge sadrže opasne razine toksina, teških metala i BPA.

-Ne preporučujem korištenje proteinskih prahova osim u nekoliko slučajeva, i to samo uz nadzor, kaže registrirana dijetetičarka Kathy McManus.

-Čišćenje debelog crijeva i klistiranje sigurni su samo ako ih je propisao ovlašteni liječnik prije kolonoskopije ili za liječenje zatvora”, kaže dr. med. David R. Heiman.

Factora dodaje da može doći sa svojim skupom nuspojava, uključujući nadutost, dehidraciju i grčeve, ali one su privremene i traju samo dan prije kolonoskopije.

Tablete i ostali dodaci prehrani za mršavljenje

Zbog njih tisuće ljudi godišnje završe na hitnoj pomoći.

-Pacijenti brzo upadnu u nevolje kada uzmu snažne lijekove za mršavljenje izdane na recept izvan nadzora liječnika, još ako ih kombiniraju međusobno– posebno stimulanse koji imaju za cilj ubrzati metabolizam s ilegalnim supstancama poput metamfetamina ili kokaina,” kaže liječnik Michael Daignault.

-Pacijenti dolaze na hitnu s ubrzanim otkucajima srca i povišenim krvnim tlakom, promijenjenim ili uznemirenim mentalnim statusom, potencijalnim oštećenjem jetre ili bubrega te proljevom ili rektalnim krvarenjem, objavio je N1.
