Većina osoba tijekom života bit će zaražena HPV virusom, a tipovi 16 i 18 najrizičniji su za nastanak predmalignih promjena i raka vrata maternice. U 99,7 posto slučajeva ovaj je rak uzrokovan upravo infekcijom humanim papiloma virusom, koji se prenosi kontaktom kože u području genitalija, piše Živim.

Protiv HPV-a razvijeno je cjepivo, pa je tako rak vrata maternice jedini rak koji se može spriječiti cijepljenjem. U Hrvatskoj je cjepivo besplatno za djevojčice i dječake u osmom razredu osnovne škole. Unatoč cijepljenju, ženama se savjetuju redoviti ginekološki pregledi i Papa-test koji je najjednostavnija metoda probira na rak vrata maternice. U Hrvatskoj postoji i nacionalni program probira za ovo sijelo raka, u kojem se žene poziva na Papa-test, no ne odazivaju se u dovoljnoj mjeri da bi se značajno smanjila smrtnost. Nažalost, rak vrata maternice još uvijek je na visokom četvrtom mjestu po učestalosti (6,5% svih slučajeva raka) i smrtnosti (7,7% svih smrti od raka) kod žena diljem svijeta. U Hrvatskoj se bilježi u prosjeku oko 300 novooboljelih svake godine.

Simptomi raka vrata maternice

Početni stadiji raka vrata maternice obično nemaju nikakve simptome, dok uznapredovali stadij prate nepravilno krvarenje, krvarenje između dva menstrualna ciklusa, krvarenje nakon spolnog odnosa, neuobičajen iscjedak i bolovi u donjem dijelu trbuha. Osjetite li neki od ovih simptoma bez odlaganja dogovorite pregled kod ginekologa.

No, stručnjaci iz britanskog udruženja za borbu protiv raka kažu da postoje promjene u tijelu žene koje mogu upućivati na rak vrata maternice u ranom stadiju i koje je važno ne ignorirati.

Važan znak - vaginalni iscjedak

Naime, promjene vaginalnog iscjetka mogle bi biti znak da trebate otići na pregled ginekologu. Promjene se odnose na teksturu, boju i konzistenciju iscjetka, ali i miris.

- Neke žene također imaju vaginalni iscjedak koji neugodno miriše i osjećaju bol u području između kostiju kuka - navode stručnjaci iz Cancer Research UK. Dakako, promjena iscjetka može ukazivati na upalu ili neku drugu manje tešku bolest, ali je važno uvijek otkriti uzrok. Na rak vrata maternice često može ukazivati i zatvor stolice, što je još jedan rani simptom kojeg obično ne pripišemo raku vrata maternice i često ga zanemarimo.

Drugi ključni znakovi raka vrata maternice

- bol i nelagoda tijekom seksa

- vaginalno krvarenje nakon seksa, između razdoblja ili nakon menopauze

- bol u donjem dijelu leđa ili zdjelici

- jaka bol u bočnom dijelu kao kod upale bubrega

- zatvor

- učestalije mokrenje i stolica nego inače

- gubitak kontrole nad mjehurom ili crijevima

- krv u mokraći

- oteklina u jednoj ili obje noge

- obilno vaginalno krvarenje.

Imate li neki od ovih simptoma dogovorite Papa-test. Ovisno o rezultatu ginekolog će vas uputiti na daljnju obradu koja može uključivati ponavljanje Papa-testa i/ili testiranja na HPV i kolposkopiju što pomaže da se promjene stanica uspješno liječe i spriječi razvoj raka. Liječnici su upozorili da bi milijuni žena diljem svijeta mogli biti u većem riziku za razvoj uznapredovalih stadija raka vrata maternice zbog pandemije koronavirusa zbog čega su žene propustile redovite ginekološke preglede, piše Živim.

Većina osoba tijekom života bit će zaražena HPV virusom, a tipovi 16 i 18 najrizičniji su za nastanak predmalignih promjena i raka vrata maternice. U 99,7 posto slučajeva ovaj je rak uzrokovan upravo infekcijom humanim papiloma virusom, koji se prenosi kontaktom kože u području genitalija, piše Živim.

Protiv HPV-a razvijeno je cjepivo, pa je tako rak vrata maternice jedini rak koji se može spriječiti cijepljenjem. U Hrvatskoj je cjepivo besplatno za djevojčice i dječake u osmom razredu osnovne škole. Unatoč cijepljenju, ženama se savjetuju redoviti ginekološki pregledi i Papa-test koji je najjednostavnija metoda probira na rak vrata maternice. U Hrvatskoj postoji i nacionalni program probira za ovo sijelo raka, u kojem se žene poziva na Papa-test, no ne odazivaju se u dovoljnoj mjeri da bi se značajno smanjila smrtnost. Nažalost, rak vrata maternice još uvijek je na visokom četvrtom mjestu po učestalosti (6,5% svih slučajeva raka) i smrtnosti (7,7% svih smrti od raka) kod žena diljem svijeta. U Hrvatskoj se bilježi u prosjeku oko 300 novooboljelih svake godine.

Simptomi raka vrata maternice

Početni stadiji raka vrata maternice obično nemaju nikakve simptome, dok uznapredovali stadij prate nepravilno krvarenje, krvarenje između dva menstrualna ciklusa, krvarenje nakon spolnog odnosa, neuobičajen iscjedak i bolovi u donjem dijelu trbuha. Osjetite li neki od ovih simptoma bez odlaganja dogovorite pregled kod ginekologa.

No, stručnjaci iz britanskog udruženja za borbu protiv raka kažu da postoje promjene u tijelu žene koje mogu upućivati na rak vrata maternice u ranom stadiju i koje je važno ne ignorirati.

Važan znak - vaginalni iscjedak

Naime, promjene vaginalnog iscjetka mogle bi biti znak da trebate otići na pregled ginekologu. Promjene se odnose na teksturu, boju i konzistenciju iscjetka, ali i miris.

- Neke žene također imaju vaginalni iscjedak koji neugodno miriše i osjećaju bol u području između kostiju kuka - navode stručnjaci iz Cancer Research UK. Dakako, promjena iscjetka može ukazivati na upalu ili neku drugu manje tešku bolest, ali je važno uvijek otkriti uzrok. Na rak vrata maternice često može ukazivati i zatvor stolice, što je još jedan rani simptom kojeg obično ne pripišemo raku vrata maternice i često ga zanemarimo.

Drugi ključni znakovi raka vrata maternice

- bol i nelagoda tijekom seksa

- vaginalno krvarenje nakon seksa, između razdoblja ili nakon menopauze

- bol u donjem dijelu leđa ili zdjelici

- jaka bol u bočnom dijelu kao kod upale bubrega

- zatvor

- učestalije mokrenje i stolica nego inače

- gubitak kontrole nad mjehurom ili crijevima

- krv u mokraći

- oteklina u jednoj ili obje noge

- obilno vaginalno krvarenje.

Imate li neki od ovih simptoma dogovorite Papa-test. Ovisno o rezultatu ginekolog će vas uputiti na daljnju obradu koja može uključivati ponavljanje Papa-testa i/ili testiranja na HPV i kolposkopiju što pomaže da se promjene stanica uspješno liječe i spriječi razvoj raka. Liječnici su upozorili da bi milijuni žena diljem svijeta mogli biti u većem riziku za razvoj uznapredovalih stadija raka vrata maternice zbog pandemije koronavirusa zbog čega su žene propustile redovite ginekološke preglede, piše Živim.
