Poteškoće u komunikaciji s vašim mrskim doktorom možda nisu najveći problem: oni ustvari ugrožavaju vaše zdravlje, pokazala je novo istraživanje Sveučilišta Vanderbilt.

Istražitelji su proučili podatke o 32 tisuće pacijenata i rezultatima njihovih operacija u sedam različitih zdravstvenih ustanova. Rezultati ukazuju na veću mogućnost post-operativnih problema kod pacijenata koje su operirali kirurzi -veću povijest pritužbi od strane pacijenta ili članova njegove obitelji, prenosi menshealth.hr.

Štoviše, pacijenti o kojima se brinuo kirurg s najvećim brojem pritužbi iskusili su 14 posto više operativnih i zdravstvenih problema – kao infekcije, pneumoniu, plućnu emboliju, srčani udar ili sepsu – od onih o kojima se brinuo doktor s najmanjim brojem pritužbi.

Kada bi se te brojke primijenile na sve kirurške zahvate širom SAD-a, to bi značilo dodatnih 350 tisuća post- operativnih komplikacija, napisao je u svom obrazloženju autor studije doktor Gerald Hickson.

Kako vaš omraženi doktor ugrožava vaše zdravlje? Ako je kirurg nepristojan, ako nema poštovanja prema ostalom medicinskom osoblju – medicinskim sestrama ili anesteziologu – oni neće imati toliku potrebu informirati kirurga o mogućim promjenama vašeg stanja, kažu istražitelji.

Ako mislite da je vaš doktor nepristojan ili nema poštovanja prema vama, prijavite ga vodstvu bolnice. Prethodna istraživanja su pokazala da se doktori bolje ponašaju i imaju manje pritužbi na nemar ako im se ukaže na pritužbe pacijenata.

Poteškoće u komunikaciji s vašim mrskim doktorom možda nisu najveći problem: oni ustvari ugrožavaju vaše zdravlje, pokazala je novo istraživanje Sveučilišta Vanderbilt.

Istražitelji su proučili podatke o 32 tisuće pacijenata i rezultatima njihovih operacija u sedam različitih zdravstvenih ustanova. Rezultati ukazuju na veću mogućnost post-operativnih problema kod pacijenata koje su operirali kirurzi -veću povijest pritužbi od strane pacijenta ili članova njegove obitelji, prenosi menshealth.hr.

Štoviše, pacijenti o kojima se brinuo kirurg s najvećim brojem pritužbi iskusili su 14 posto više operativnih i zdravstvenih problema – kao infekcije, pneumoniu, plućnu emboliju, srčani udar ili sepsu – od onih o kojima se brinuo doktor s najmanjim brojem pritužbi.

Kada bi se te brojke primijenile na sve kirurške zahvate širom SAD-a, to bi značilo dodatnih 350 tisuća post- operativnih komplikacija, napisao je u svom obrazloženju autor studije doktor Gerald Hickson.

Kako vaš omraženi doktor ugrožava vaše zdravlje? Ako je kirurg nepristojan, ako nema poštovanja prema ostalom medicinskom osoblju – medicinskim sestrama ili anesteziologu – oni neće imati toliku potrebu informirati kirurga o mogućim promjenama vašeg stanja, kažu istražitelji.

Ako mislite da je vaš doktor nepristojan ili nema poštovanja prema vama, prijavite ga vodstvu bolnice. Prethodna istraživanja su pokazala da se doktori bolje ponašaju i imaju manje pritužbi na nemar ako im se ukaže na pritužbe pacijenata.
