Zabrinjavajuće istraživanje povezalo je dodatak prehrani s rupturom žučnog mjehura kod 69-godišnjeg muškarca.

Evo o čemu je riječ
Protuupalni suplement kurkumin, koji je, aktivni dio kurkume, povezan je s čitavim nizom dobrobiti, od kontrole dijabetesa do liječenja artritisa. Zbog brojnih učinaka, kurkumin je postao popularan suplement, "uselivši" se tako u ormariće s lijekovima mnogih ljudi, uključujući i ovog čovjeka.
Ipak, izvješće objavljeno u American Journal of Medical Case Reports skeptično je u vezi ovog proizvoda.
Ovaj muškarac je nakon tri dana iznenadnih bolova u prsima i vrućice došao u bolnicu. Njegova bol širila se gornjim dijelom leđa, a liječnici su mu pregledali pluća i kardiovaskularni sustav - bez pronalaska "krivca".
Umjereno s dodatcima
CT njegovog prsnog koša pokazao je da mu je prsnuo žučni mjehur i da ima žučni kamenac velik jedan centimetar. Iako su najčešći uzroci pucanja žučnog mjehura žučni kamenci i kolecistitis, istraživači smatraju da je kurkumin u ovom slučaju bio taj koji mu je presudio.
Naime, 69-godišnjak je četiri mjeseca uzimao dnevnu dozu od 1500 do 2000 miligrama kurkumina. Popularni dodatak inače se ne preporučuje osobama sa žučnim kamencima, jer može povećati sposobnost žučnog mjehura da izbaci žuč u žučne kanale.
S druge strane, dokazano je da ovaj žuti začin smanjuje rizik od žučnih kamenaca kod onih koji ih prije nisu imali. Istraživači su objasnili da je muškarčev prethodno postojeći žučni kamenac u kombinaciji s predoziranjem kurkuminom mogao biti uzrok pucanja žučnog mjehura.
Srećom, pušten je iz bolnice nakon tjedan dana liječenja antibioticima, a naloženo mu je da nakon odlaska kući pije određene lijekove.

Zabrinjavajuće istraživanje povezalo je dodatak prehrani s rupturom žučnog mjehura kod 69-godišnjeg muškarca.

Evo o čemu je riječ
Protuupalni suplement kurkumin, koji je, aktivni dio kurkume, povezan je s čitavim nizom dobrobiti, od kontrole dijabetesa do liječenja artritisa. Zbog brojnih učinaka, kurkumin je postao popularan suplement, "uselivši" se tako u ormariće s lijekovima mnogih ljudi, uključujući i ovog čovjeka.
Ipak, izvješće objavljeno u American Journal of Medical Case Reports skeptično je u vezi ovog proizvoda.
Ovaj muškarac je nakon tri dana iznenadnih bolova u prsima i vrućice došao u bolnicu. Njegova bol širila se gornjim dijelom leđa, a liječnici su mu pregledali pluća i kardiovaskularni sustav - bez pronalaska "krivca".
Umjereno s dodatcima
CT njegovog prsnog koša pokazao je da mu je prsnuo žučni mjehur i da ima žučni kamenac velik jedan centimetar. Iako su najčešći uzroci pucanja žučnog mjehura žučni kamenci i kolecistitis, istraživači smatraju da je kurkumin u ovom slučaju bio taj koji mu je presudio.
Naime, 69-godišnjak je četiri mjeseca uzimao dnevnu dozu od 1500 do 2000 miligrama kurkumina. Popularni dodatak inače se ne preporučuje osobama sa žučnim kamencima, jer može povećati sposobnost žučnog mjehura da izbaci žuč u žučne kanale.
S druge strane, dokazano je da ovaj žuti začin smanjuje rizik od žučnih kamenaca kod onih koji ih prije nisu imali. Istraživači su objasnili da je muškarčev prethodno postojeći žučni kamenac u kombinaciji s predoziranjem kurkuminom mogao biti uzrok pucanja žučnog mjehura.
Srećom, pušten je iz bolnice nakon tjedan dana liječenja antibioticima, a naloženo mu je da nakon odlaska kući pije određene lijekove.

Protuupalni suplement kurkumin, koji je, aktivni dio kurkume, povezan je s čitavim nizom dobrobiti, od kontrole dijabetesa do liječenja artritisa. Zbog brojnih učinaka, kurkumin je postao popularan suplement, "uselivši" se tako u ormariće s lijekovima mnogih ljudi, uključujući i ovog čovjeka.
