Iako su medvjedi jako opasne životinje, ovi bračni par sa svojim grizlijem živi - kao s kućnim ljubimcem.

Svetlana i Jurij Pantelenko, bračni par iz Moskve, medvjeda Stepana sreli su kada je imao tek tri mjeseca. Mladunče su pronašli u šumi dok je plakao za majkom koju su ubili krivolovci te su ga, kada su shvatili koliko je bespomoćan, odlučili povesti kući.

Prošlo je od te tužne scene već dvadeset godina, a Stepan je još s njima. Iako je težak preko 450 kilograma, a visok preko dva metra, njihov medvjed ponaša se kao svako drugi kućni ljubimac. Sa svojim vlasnicima se igra, gleda televiziju pa nekad - i sjedi s njima za stolom. Ipak, zbog svoje veličine ne jede kao tipični pas ili mačka pa mu Pantelenkovi moraju osigurati 55 kilograma ribe, povrća i jaja dnevno.

Iako je ova životinja pripitomljena i nikada nije imala doticaja s divljinom, i dalje ima svoje nagone. Jurij i Svetlana toga su svjesni te se prema Stepanu odnose s maksimalnim poštovanjem - i znaju da im neće nauditi.

Svetlana i Jurij Pantelenko, bračni par iz Moskve, medvjeda Stepana sreli su kada je imao tek tri mjeseca. Mladunče su pronašli u šumi dok je plakao za majkom koju su ubili krivolovci te su ga, kada su shvatili koliko je bespomoćan, odlučili povesti kući.

Prošlo je od te tužne scene već dvadeset godina, a Stepan je još s njima. Iako je težak preko 450 kilograma, a visok preko dva metra, njihov medvjed ponaša se kao svako drugi kućni ljubimac. Sa svojim vlasnicima se igra, gleda televiziju pa nekad - i sjedi s njima za stolom. Ipak, zbog svoje veličine ne jede kao tipični pas ili mačka pa mu Pantelenkovi moraju osigurati 55 kilograma ribe, povrća i jaja dnevno.

Iako je ova životinja pripitomljena i nikada nije imala doticaja s divljinom, i dalje ima svoje nagone. Jurij i Svetlana toga su svjesni te se prema Stepanu odnose s maksimalnim poštovanjem - i znaju da im neće nauditi.
