Među populacijom mladih ljudi u Japanu danas postoji toliko velik broj onih koji se namjerno i dugotrajno, godinama pa i desetljećima zatvaraju u kuće i prekidaju komunikaciju sa svima koje poznaju da čak imaju i svoj naziv - Hikikomori, riječ nastala spajanjem hiki – povlačenje i komore – boraviti unutra, piše The Conversation.

Znati provoditi vrijeme sa sobom vještina je koja mnogima nedostaje i treba je njegovati jer tko zna biti sam nikad nije usamljen. Izoliranje od ostatka svijeta ponekad je najbolji način za odmaranje i opuštanje od stresnih situacija, a mladi u vlastitoj intimi lakše tragaju za svojim identitetom. Ipak se ispostavlja da je dio ljudi i predobro naučio kako to postići.

Provođenje nekoliko dana u stanu bez društva ne čini osobu dijelom zajednice hikikomori tj. sotokomorijem kako se naziva pojedince koji žive takvim načinom života. Problem nastaje kada netko izoliran u svom domu provede najmanje šest mjeseci s tim da ograniči ili posve ukine sve socijalne kontakte, bilo da se radi o posjetima ili telefonskim razgovorima. Osim fizičke distance odvija se i psihološka i s vremenom nestaje svaka komunikacija. 

Naravno da je to neodrživo ne samo u osobnom društvenom već i svakom profesionalnom smislu. Zadaci koji uključuju komunikaciju s ljudima postaju nepremostivi problem. Odlazak na fakultet ili posao nemoguć, a čak i rad od kuće ako zahtijeva interakciju sotokomoriju je užasavajuć. To ne znači da oni uopće ne koriste Internet ili društvene mreže, samo su njihovi tihi i skriveni korisnici. Pasivno promatraju stvarni svijet putem internetskih igara i društvenih mreža jer ih i dalje zanima što se ondje događa i ne mogu ga ostaviti posve iza sebe.

Zajednica hikikomori nastala je 1990-ih nakon što je japanska ekonomija upala u ledeno doba uslijed čega mladi ljudi na početku karijere nisu uspjeli postizati zacrtane ciljeve. Osjećajući kao da su podbacili i srameći se pred svojom okolinom počeli su se povlačiti i distancirati od svijeta.

Istraživanja pokazuju da se traumatična iskustva srama i poraza obično pokazuju kao okidači za radikalno socijalno distanciranje. Mogu to biti male stvari koje se inače brzo zaboravljaju kao što su neuspjesi na nekim važnijim ispitima ili nedovoljno dobro obavljen zadatak na poslu. S obzirom na to gdje se Hikikomori prvo pojavljuje povezuje ga se i s japanskim sustavom kulturnih vrijednosti u kojem postoji visoko vrednovanje časti i strah od sramote, pa se isključivanje iz društva može činiti i kao kulturni suicid te samokažnjavanje.

Prvi je naziv osmislio japanski psihijatar profesor Tamaki Saito 1998. godine. Uvidjevši brzi rast ovog trenda ponašanja nije ga mogao svrstati u nijedni poznati poremećaj i zaključio je da ne odgovara kriterijima za psihijatrijsku dijagnozu što ni na koji način nije umanjivalo patnju Hikikomorija kao ni onu njihovih roditelja i bližnjih. Hikikomori se danas promatra kao sociokulturni fenomen, a ne mentalnu bolest. Time nije riješen problem koji predstavljaju, socijalno i zdravstveno, sebi i drugima. Uz to stručnjaci tek sada počinju istraživati moguću povezanost ovog ponašanja s autizmom, depresijom, socijalnom anksioznošću i agorafobijom.

Uočavajući sve veći porast sličnog ponašanja kod mladih u Europi znanstvenici su u časopisu Lancet objavili studiju o patološkom socijalnom povlačenju u neazijskim zemljama. Istraživanje pokazuje da je riječ o globalnom problemu koji nema veze s japanskim specifičnostima već je razlog zabuni bio fokus, uvijek stavljan na jedno te isto, azijsko područje.

Psihologica Lovrenka Britvić kaže da u Hrvatskoj ipak još nije takva situacija.

-Mladi su zbog društvenih mreža isključeniji, ali ne može se govoriti o tako radikalnim primjerima. Mogli bismo povući paralele s trenutnom situacijom zbog koronavirusa. Takva izolacija dokazano može odvesti u depresiju i anksioznost jer se mladi trebaju družiti. Generalno gledano još nismo kao Amerikanci kod kojih je to naglašenije, ali se bojim da taj izolirani stil života očekuje nove generacije i kod nas.

Roditelji mladih koji se ovako ponašaju moraju ih dugo financirati jer se najčešće nisu u stanju zaposliti, pa uz uobičajenu brigu za vlastitu djecu traže načine kako im pomoći. Međutim zbog specifičnosti svoga položaja teško je očekivati da će hikikomori samostalno zatražiti pomoć. Uz to se izolirani način života čini prihvatljivijim u ovim vremenima čime se oni sami maskiraju, a postoji bojazan da će nakon pandemije dio mladih koji su prije živjeli normalno nastaviti ne izlaziti iz kuće i izbjegavati kontakte čime će se zajednica hikikomori povećati.

Jedino dobro kod porasta broja ljudi koji pate od ovog stanja je što se možda onda smisli efektivna terapija. Jedna od trenutno inovativnijih metoda je pomoć u otkrivanju skrivenih talenata te sugestije kako ih izraziti na društveno prihvatljiv način, a valjda će ih ubrzo biti još.

Među populacijom mladih ljudi u Japanu danas postoji toliko velik broj onih koji se namjerno i dugotrajno, godinama pa i desetljećima zatvaraju u kuće i prekidaju komunikaciju sa svima koje poznaju da čak imaju i svoj naziv - Hikikomori, riječ nastala spajanjem hiki – povlačenje i komore – boraviti unutra, piše The Conversation.

Znati provoditi vrijeme sa sobom vještina je koja mnogima nedostaje i treba je njegovati jer tko zna biti sam nikad nije usamljen. Izoliranje od ostatka svijeta ponekad je najbolji način za odmaranje i opuštanje od stresnih situacija, a mladi u vlastitoj intimi lakše tragaju za svojim identitetom. Ipak se ispostavlja da je dio ljudi i predobro naučio kako to postići.

Provođenje nekoliko dana u stanu bez društva ne čini osobu dijelom zajednice hikikomori tj. sotokomorijem kako se naziva pojedince koji žive takvim načinom života. Problem nastaje kada netko izoliran u svom domu provede najmanje šest mjeseci s tim da ograniči ili posve ukine sve socijalne kontakte, bilo da se radi o posjetima ili telefonskim razgovorima. Osim fizičke distance odvija se i psihološka i s vremenom nestaje svaka komunikacija. 

Naravno da je to neodrživo ne samo u osobnom društvenom već i svakom profesionalnom smislu. Zadaci koji uključuju komunikaciju s ljudima postaju nepremostivi problem. Odlazak na fakultet ili posao nemoguć, a čak i rad od kuće ako zahtijeva interakciju sotokomoriju je užasavajuć. To ne znači da oni uopće ne koriste Internet ili društvene mreže, samo su njihovi tihi i skriveni korisnici. Pasivno promatraju stvarni svijet putem internetskih igara i društvenih mreža jer ih i dalje zanima što se ondje događa i ne mogu ga ostaviti posve iza sebe.

Zajednica hikikomori nastala je 1990-ih nakon što je japanska ekonomija upala u ledeno doba uslijed čega mladi ljudi na početku karijere nisu uspjeli postizati zacrtane ciljeve. Osjećajući kao da su podbacili i srameći se pred svojom okolinom počeli su se povlačiti i distancirati od svijeta.

Istraživanja pokazuju da se traumatična iskustva srama i poraza obično pokazuju kao okidači za radikalno socijalno distanciranje. Mogu to biti male stvari koje se inače brzo zaboravljaju kao što su neuspjesi na nekim važnijim ispitima ili nedovoljno dobro obavljen zadatak na poslu. S obzirom na to gdje se Hikikomori prvo pojavljuje povezuje ga se i s japanskim sustavom kulturnih vrijednosti u kojem postoji visoko vrednovanje časti i strah od sramote, pa se isključivanje iz društva može činiti i kao kulturni suicid te samokažnjavanje.

Prvi je naziv osmislio japanski psihijatar profesor Tamaki Saito 1998. godine. Uvidjevši brzi rast ovog trenda ponašanja nije ga mogao svrstati u nijedni poznati poremećaj i zaključio je da ne odgovara kriterijima za psihijatrijsku dijagnozu što ni na koji način nije umanjivalo patnju Hikikomorija kao ni onu njihovih roditelja i bližnjih. Hikikomori se danas promatra kao sociokulturni fenomen, a ne mentalnu bolest. Time nije riješen problem koji predstavljaju, socijalno i zdravstveno, sebi i drugima. Uz to stručnjaci tek sada počinju istraživati moguću povezanost ovog ponašanja s autizmom, depresijom, socijalnom anksioznošću i agorafobijom.

Uočavajući sve veći porast sličnog ponašanja kod mladih u Europi znanstvenici su u časopisu Lancet objavili studiju o patološkom socijalnom povlačenju u neazijskim zemljama. Istraživanje pokazuje da je riječ o globalnom problemu koji nema veze s japanskim specifičnostima već je razlog zabuni bio fokus, uvijek stavljan na jedno te isto, azijsko područje.

Psihologica Lovrenka Britvić kaže da u Hrvatskoj ipak još nije takva situacija.

-Mladi su zbog društvenih mreža isključeniji, ali ne može se govoriti o tako radikalnim primjerima. Mogli bismo povući paralele s trenutnom situacijom zbog koronavirusa. Takva izolacija dokazano može odvesti u depresiju i anksioznost jer se mladi trebaju družiti. Generalno gledano još nismo kao Amerikanci kod kojih je to naglašenije, ali se bojim da taj izolirani stil života očekuje nove generacije i kod nas.

Roditelji mladih koji se ovako ponašaju moraju ih dugo financirati jer se najčešće nisu u stanju zaposliti, pa uz uobičajenu brigu za vlastitu djecu traže načine kako im pomoći. Međutim zbog specifičnosti svoga položaja teško je očekivati da će hikikomori samostalno zatražiti pomoć. Uz to se izolirani način života čini prihvatljivijim u ovim vremenima čime se oni sami maskiraju, a postoji bojazan da će nakon pandemije dio mladih koji su prije živjeli normalno nastaviti ne izlaziti iz kuće i izbjegavati kontakte čime će se zajednica hikikomori povećati.

Jedino dobro kod porasta broja ljudi koji pate od ovog stanja je što se možda onda smisli efektivna terapija. Jedna od trenutno inovativnijih metoda je pomoć u otkrivanju skrivenih talenata te sugestije kako ih izraziti na društveno prihvatljiv način, a valjda će ih ubrzo biti još.

Među populacijom mladih ljudi u Japanu danas postoji toliko velik broj onih koji se namjerno i dugotrajno, godinama pa i desetljećima zatvaraju u kuće i prekidaju komunikaciju sa svima koje poznaju da čak imaju i svoj naziv - Hikikomori, riječ nastala spajanjem hiki – povlačenje i komore – boraviti unutra, piše The Conversation.

Znati provoditi vrijeme sa sobom vještina je koja mnogima nedostaje i treba je njegovati jer tko zna biti sam nikad nije usamljen. Izoliranje od ostatka svijeta ponekad je najbolji način za odmaranje i opuštanje od stresnih situacija, a mladi u vlastitoj intimi lakše tragaju za svojim identitetom. Ipak se ispostavlja da je dio ljudi i predobro naučio kako to postići.

Provođenje nekoliko dana u stanu bez društva ne čini osobu dijelom zajednice hik...
