Stigmatiziranje u našem društvu nije rijetka pojava.

Dapače, neki bi reki i da je neodobravanje ili diskriminacija pojedinca ili skupine na temelju percipiranih karakteristika koje ih razlikuje od ostalih članova društva kod nas puno izraženije no što je u drugim zemljama Europe. Ne svim ali, nismo ni najbolji  primjer tolerantnosti različitosti.

Jesu li depresija i druge psihičke bolesti te njihovo liječenje antidepresivima i dalje sramota u Hrvatskoj? Jeste li i vi jedni od onih koji šaptom ‘tračate‘ susjedu koji pije antidepresive i nazivate je ludom. Ili pak razmišljate o odlasku psihijatru ili psihologu ali ne odlučujute se na taj potez jer se bojite osude okoline ukoliko se to dozna.

Sramite li se toga što vam dijete ima psihičkih problem zbog čega zanemarujete njegovo liječenje i ‘opravdavate‘ se da je s njime sve ok i da je malo ‘živahno‘ ili ‘hiperaktivno‘.

Zašto i dalje ne možemo prihvatiti da je psihička bolest, također bolest koja se liječi lijekovima? Biste li ikada s ljudima podijelili svoje iskustvo u liječenju depresije poput ove djevojke na Redditu?

-Nakon 10 godina neidentificirane depresije i baš teškog razdoblja u životu prvi put sam 2019. otišla kod psihijatra i to nakon što sam morala nagovarati doktora opće prakse da mi da uputnicu.

Išla sam na terapije i dobila Citram 10mg. Nakon 2 mjeseca preporod. Vidim boje, hrana ima okus, anksioznost iz dana u dan manja, doslovno mogu udahnuti. Nakon 9 mjeseci polako ukidala lijek i sve je bilo ok.

Prije 2 mjeseca primjetim da mi se depresija opet prišuljala, polako potoneš da i ne primjetiš dok ne postane baš loše. Opet Citram i vec za 2-3 tjedna osjećaj neusporediv.

Iskreno i sama sam dugo godina bila uvjerena da depresivci malo pretjeruju, da se možeš potrudit da ti bude bolje. Mene ulovila relativno blaga depresija sudeci po nalazu moje psihijatrice, a meni se činilo kao crna rupa bez dna. Ne mogu ni zamislit kako je ekipi koja je zapala u još dublju rupu.

Zaključak je:

depresija je stvarno BOLEST koja se liječi lijekovima

lijekovi (bar kod mene) stvarno funkcioniraju

iskreno mislim da to ne bi tako dobro funkcioniralo da nemam potporu u vidu terapije i divnog muža

Kod mene je uspjeh liječenja toliko dobar da bih htjela sa ljudima oko sebe podijeliti svoje zaključke. Ali sam dobila dojam da, iako se puno ljudi liječi od depresije, da u razgovorima o tome uglavnom dominiraju negativni aspekti svega npr. "liječio se antidepresivima i objesio se", ili "ona histerična susjeda je na antidepresivima".

Demoniziraju se lijekovi koji vjerojatno imaju veliku stopu uspjeha ali ekipa koja se njima (i terapijom) uspješno liječi ne govori o tome koliko im se poboljšala kvaliteta života. Između ostalog jer nose tu društvenu stigmu.

O DEPRESIJI

Depresija je, prema HZJZ, bolest koju karakteriziraju poremećaji raspoloženja kao što su dugotrajna tuga, nesposobnost uživanja u ranije ugodnim stvarima ili aktivnostima i duševna bol. Ona utječe na obavljanje najjednostavnijih svakodnevnih zadataka, ponekad s razornim posljedicama za odnose s obitelji i prijateljima i mogućnosti da se zaradi za život.

Da bi se postavila dijagnoza depresije odnosno depresivne epizode, ovi simptomi trebaju trajati najmanje 2 tjedna.

Ljudi koji boluju od depresije vrlo često imaju i neke od sljedećih simptoma: manjak energije, promjene apetita, nesanicu ili preveliku potrebu za snom, povećanu tjeskobu ili zabrinutost, smanjenu koncentraciju, neodlučnost, nemir, osjećaj bezvrijednosti, krivnje ili beznađa, misli o samoozljeđivanju ili suicidu.

Rizik od razvoja depresije se povećava sa stresom, traumatskim životnim događajima kao što su smrt voljene osobe ili prekid veze, fizičkim bolestima, problemima uzrokovanim konzumacijom alkohola ili droge, siromaštvom, nezaposlenošću, nepravilnom prehranom i nedovoljnom tjelesnom aktivnošću. Kod nekih osoba postoji i genetska, urođena predispozicija za razvoj depresije.

TERAPIJA ANTIDEPRESIVIMA

U liječenju depresije najčešće se koriste lijekovi, tzv. antidepresivi. Oni uklanjaju ili ublažavaju simptome bolesti u roku od jednog do šest tjedna, a mogu se kombinirati i s drugim postupcima te psihoterapijom, piše PLIVA Zdravlje.

Antidepresive valja uzimati neprekidno i točno prema uputama liječnika, bez odstupanja ili "improvizacija" kojima su oboljeli ponekad skloni. Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija preporučuje uzimanje antidepresiva i šest do deset mjeseci nakon nestanka simptoma, a neki stručnjaci zagovaraju višegodišnje ili čak doživotno uzimanje lijekova kod pacijenata s kroničnom depresijom.

Na tržištu postoje deseci antidepresiva koji su prema svome djelovanju svrstani u nekoliko glavnih skupina. Glavne skupine su inhibitori monoaminooksidaze, triciklički antidepresivi te inhibitori ponovne pohrane serotonina. Svima je zajedničko djelovanje da pojačavaju djelovanje jednog ili više neuroprijenosnika te tako ublažavaju simptome.

Stigmatiziranje u našem društvu nije rijetka pojava.

Dapače, neki bi reki i da je neodobravanje ili diskriminacija pojedinca ili skupine na temelju percipiranih karakteristika koje ih razlikuje od ostalih članova društva kod nas puno izraženije no što je u drugim zemljama Europe. Ne svim ali, nismo ni najbolji  primjer tolerantnosti različitosti.

Jesu li depresija i druge psihičke bolesti te njihovo liječenje antidepresivima i dalje sramota u Hrvatskoj? Jeste li i vi jedni od onih koji šaptom ‘tračate‘ susjedu koji pije antidepresive i nazivate je ludom. Ili pak razmišljate o odlasku psihijatru ili psihologu ali ne odlučujute se na taj potez jer se bojite osude okoline ukoliko se to dozna.

Sramite li se toga što vam dijete ima psihičkih problem zbog čega zanemarujete njegovo liječenje i ‘opravdavate‘ se da je s njime sve ok i da je malo ‘živahno‘ ili ‘hiperaktivno‘.

Zašto i dalje ne možemo prihvatiti da je psihička bolest, također bolest koja se liječi lijekovima? Biste li ikada s ljudima podijelili svoje iskustvo u liječenju depresije poput ove djevojke na Redditu?

-Nakon 10 godina neidentificirane depresije i baš teškog razdoblja u životu prvi put sam 2019. otišla kod psihijatra i to nakon što sam morala nagovarati doktora opće prakse da mi da uputnicu.

Išla sam na terapije i dobila Citram 10mg. Nakon 2 mjeseca preporod. Vidim boje, hrana ima okus, anksioznost iz dana u dan manja, doslovno mogu udahnuti. Nakon 9 mjeseci polako ukidala lijek i sve je bilo ok.

Prije 2 mjeseca primjetim da mi se depresija opet prišuljala, polako potoneš da i ne primjetiš dok ne postane baš loše. Opet Citram i vec za 2-3 tjedna osjećaj neusporediv.

Iskreno i sama sam dugo godina bila uvjerena da depresivci malo pretjeruju, da se možeš potrudit da ti bude bolje. Mene ulovila relativno blaga depresija sudeci po nalazu moje psihijatrice, a meni se činilo kao crna rupa bez dna. Ne mogu ni zamislit kako je ekipi koja je zapala u još dublju rupu.

Zaključak je:

depresija je stvarno BOLEST koja se liječi lijekovima

lijekovi (bar kod mene) stvarno funkcioniraju

iskreno mislim da to ne bi tako dobro funkcioniralo da nemam potporu u vidu terapije i divnog muža

Kod mene je uspjeh liječenja toliko dobar da bih htjela sa ljudima oko sebe podijeliti svoje zaključke. Ali sam dobila dojam da, iako se puno ljudi liječi od depresije, da u razgovorima o tome uglavnom dominiraju negativni aspekti svega npr. "liječio se antidepresivima i objesio se", ili "ona histerična susjeda je na antidepresivima".

Demoniziraju se lijekovi koji vjerojatno imaju veliku stopu uspjeha ali ekipa koja se njima (i terapijom) uspješno liječi ne govori o tome koliko im se poboljšala kvaliteta života. Između ostalog jer nose tu društvenu stigmu.

O DEPRESIJI

Depresija je, prema HZJZ, bolest koju karakteriziraju poremećaji raspoloženja kao što su dugotrajna tuga, nesposobnost uživanja u ranije ugodnim stvarima ili aktivnostima i duševna bol. Ona utječe na obavljanje najjednostavnijih svakodnevnih zadataka, ponekad s razornim posljedicama za odnose s obitelji i prijateljima i mogućnosti da se zaradi za život.

Da bi se postavila dijagnoza depresije odnosno depresivne epizode, ovi simptomi trebaju trajati najmanje 2 tjedna.

Ljudi koji boluju od depresije vrlo često imaju i neke od sljedećih simptoma: manjak energije, promjene apetita, nesanicu ili preveliku potrebu za snom, povećanu tjeskobu ili zabrinutost, smanjenu koncentraciju, neodlučnost, nemir, osjećaj bezvrijednosti, krivnje ili beznađa, misli o samoozljeđivanju ili suicidu.

Rizik od razvoja depresije se povećava sa stresom, traumatskim životnim događajima kao što su smrt voljene osobe ili prekid veze, fizičkim bolestima, problemima uzrokovanim konzumacijom alkohola ili droge, siromaštvom, nezaposlenošću, nepravilnom prehranom i nedovoljnom tjelesnom aktivnošću. Kod nekih osoba postoji i genetska, urođena predispozicija za razvoj depresije.

TERAPIJA ANTIDEPRESIVIMA

U liječenju depresije najčešće se koriste lijekovi, tzv. antidepresivi. Oni uklanjaju ili ublažavaju simptome bolesti u roku od jednog do šest tjedna, a mogu se kombinirati i s drugim postupcima te psihoterapijom, piše PLIVA Zdravlje.

Antidepresive valja uzimati neprekidno i točno prema uputama liječnika, bez odstupanja ili "improvizacija" kojima su oboljeli ponekad skloni. Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija preporučuje uzimanje antidepresiva i šest do deset mjeseci nakon nestanka simptoma, a neki stručnjaci zagovaraju višegodišnje ili čak doživotno uzimanje lijekova kod pacijenata s kroničnom depresijom.

Na tržištu postoje deseci antidepresiva koji su prema svome djelovanju svrstani u nekoliko glavnih skupina. Glavne skupine su inhibitori monoaminooksidaze, triciklički antidepresivi te inhibitori ponovne pohrane serotonina. Svima je zajedničko djelovanje da pojačavaju djelovanje jednog ili više neuroprijenosnika te tako ublažavaju simptome.
