Osobe koje pate od teških glavobolja, bilo da se radi o migrenama ili ne, imaju četiri do šest puta veće izglede da će počiniti samoubojstvo, pokazalo je američko istraživanje provedeno na više od tisuću osoba.
Više je istraživanja do sada pokazalo da osobe koje pate od migrena imaju veći broj pokušaja suicida od onih bez njih, ali do sada nije bilo jasno ima li to veze s biologijom migrena, istaknula je voditeljica istraživanja
Naomi Breslau s Michigan State Universityja u East Lansingu.
"Nismo znali da li je problem u migrenama ili u boli općenito", kazala je Breslau čiji je rad, objavljen u časopisu Headache, potvrdio da je rizik povećan kod svih vrsta teških glavobolja.
Istraživanjem je bilo obuhvaćeno 1200 odraslih Amerikanaca od kojih je oko 500 patilo od migrena, a 151 osoba imala je druge oblike teških glavobolja koje su trajale najmanje četiri sata.
Tijekom dvije godine zabilježena je slična stopa pokušaja samoubojstava u skupini s migrenama (devet posto) i skupini s drugim teškim glavoboljama (deset posto). U kontrolnoj skupini u kojoj ljudi nisu patili od glavobolja stopa pokušaja samoubojstava bila je oko jedan posto.
Zaključak istraživanja je da osobe koje pate od teških glavobolja trebaju potražiti pomoć stručnjaka, poručuje Breslau.

Osobe koje pate od teških glavobolja, bilo da se radi o migrenama ili ne, imaju četiri do šest puta veće izglede da će počiniti samoubojstvo, pokazalo je američko istraživanje provedeno na više od tisuću osoba.
Više je istraživanja do sada pokazalo da osobe koje pate od migrena imaju veći broj pokušaja suicida od onih bez njih, ali do sada nije bilo jasno ima li to veze s biologijom migrena, istaknula je voditeljica istraživanja
Naomi Breslau s Michigan State Universityja u East Lansingu.
"Nismo znali da li je problem u migrenama ili u boli općenito", kazala je Breslau čiji je rad, objavljen u časopisu Headache, potvrdio da je rizik povećan kod svih vrsta teških glavobolja.
Istraživanjem je bilo obuhvaćeno 1200 odraslih Amerikanaca od kojih je oko 500 patilo od migrena, a 151 osoba imala je druge oblike teških glavobolja koje su trajale najmanje četiri sata.
Tijekom dvije godine zabilježena je slična stopa pokušaja samoubojstava u skupini s migrenama (devet posto) i skupini s drugim teškim glavoboljama (deset posto). U kontrolnoj skupini u kojoj ljudi nisu patili od glavobolja stopa pokušaja samoubojstava bila je oko jedan posto.
Zaključak istraživanja je da osobe koje pate od teških glavobolja trebaju potražiti pomoć stručnjaka, poručuje Breslau.
