Inicijativa o kojoj se na razini institucija Europske unije govori već gotovo cijelo jedno desetljeće trebala bi biti službeno predstavljena sljedećeg mjeseca, navodi Bug. Europska komisija trebala bi, prema podacima koje su dobro obaviješteni izvori dojavili Reutersu, sljedećeg mjeseca predstaviti prijedlog regulative kojom će se propisati obveza korištenja identičnih univerzalnih punjača za sve mobilne uređaje koji se prodaju na tržištu Europske unije.

Cilj EU je ovakvim propisima ujednačiti punjače kod svih novih uređaja i vjerojatno kao standard postaviti USB-C priključak, te tako smanjiti količinu elektroničkog otpada koji će se generirati kupnjom novih uređaja. Prema istraživanju koje je provedeno na razini Europske unije, u razdoblju od 2020. do 2028. godine samo odbačeni stari punjači mobitela i drugih uređaja proizvest će 13.300 tona elektroničkog otpada.

Ovaj prijedlog već je ranije naišao na kritike, primarno od strane Applea koji je samo za iPad Pro prihvatio standard priključaka za punjenje i prijenos podataka u obliku USB-C utora, dok najprodavaniji proizvod, iPhone, i dalje zahtijeva njihov vlastiti Lightning kabel. Apple tvrdi kako bi prisilno uvođenje jedinstvenog standarda generirao još više elektroničkog otpada. S druge strane, Lightning je prisutan već na milijardu uređaja, a korisnici već mogu koristiti isti punjač s više Appleovih uređaja, poručivao je Apple početkom prošle godine. U međuvremenu su povukli još jedan potez – izbacili su punjač (ne i kabel) iz kutije, za što također tvrde da će smanjiti količinu generiranog e-otpada.

Dužnosnici Europske komisije trenutačno dovršavaju regulativu, no detalji nisu poznati. Hoće li Appleu biti dovoljno to što isporučuju Lightning-na-USB-C kabel uz mobitele, ili će morati dodati još jedan adapter u kutiju? Hoće li europska pravila zaživjeti prije nego se pojavi iPhone bez ikakvih fizičkih priključaka? Kako će se EU postaviti prema neisporučivanju punjača uz uređaje, što prakticira sve više proizvođača? Sve su to pitanja na koja bismo odgovore trebali doznati sljedećeg mjeseca, kada EK javno predstavi svoj plan, piše portal Bug.

Inicijativa o kojoj se na razini institucija Europske unije govori već gotovo cijelo jedno desetljeće trebala bi biti službeno predstavljena sljedećeg mjeseca, navodi Bug. Europska komisija trebala bi, prema podacima koje su dobro obaviješteni izvori dojavili Reutersu, sljedećeg mjeseca predstaviti prijedlog regulative kojom će se propisati obveza korištenja identičnih univerzalnih punjača za sve mobilne uređaje koji se prodaju na tržištu Europske unije.

Cilj EU je ovakvim propisima ujednačiti punjače kod svih novih uređaja i vjerojatno kao standard postaviti USB-C priključak, te tako smanjiti količinu elektroničkog otpada koji će se generirati kupnjom novih uređaja. Prema istraživanju koje je provedeno na razini Europske unije, u razdoblju od 2020. do 2028. godine samo odbačeni stari punjači mobitela i drugih uređaja proizvest će 13.300 tona elektroničkog otpada.

Ovaj prijedlog već je ranije naišao na kritike, primarno od strane Applea koji je samo za iPad Pro prihvatio standard priključaka za punjenje i prijenos podataka u obliku USB-C utora, dok najprodavaniji proizvod, iPhone, i dalje zahtijeva njihov vlastiti Lightning kabel. Apple tvrdi kako bi prisilno uvođenje jedinstvenog standarda generirao još više elektroničkog otpada. S druge strane, Lightning je prisutan već na milijardu uređaja, a korisnici već mogu koristiti isti punjač s više Appleovih uređaja, poručivao je Apple početkom prošle godine. U međuvremenu su povukli još jedan potez – izbacili su punjač (ne i kabel) iz kutije, za što također tvrde da će smanjiti količinu generiranog e-otpada.

Dužnosnici Europske komisije trenutačno dovršavaju regulativu, no detalji nisu poznati. Hoće li Appleu biti dovoljno to što isporučuju Lightning-na-USB-C kabel uz mobitele, ili će morati dodati još jedan adapter u kutiju? Hoće li europska pravila zaživjeti prije nego se pojavi iPhone bez ikakvih fizičkih priključaka? Kako će se EU postaviti prema neisporučivanju punjača uz uređaje, što prakticira sve više proizvođača? Sve su to pitanja na koja bismo odgovore trebali doznati sljedećeg mjeseca, kada EK javno predstavi svoj plan, piše portal Bug.

Inicijativa o kojoj se na razini institucija Europske unije govori već gotovo cijelo jedno desetljeće trebala bi biti službeno predstavljena sljedećeg mjeseca, navodi Bug. Europska komisija trebala bi, prema podacima koje su dobro obaviješteni izvori dojavili Reutersu, sljedećeg mjeseca predstaviti prijedlog regulative kojom će se propisati obveza korištenja identičnih univerzalnih punjača za sve mobilne uređaje koji se prodaju na tržištu Europske unije.

Cilj EU je ovakvim propisima ujednačiti punjače kod svih novih uređaja i vjerojatno kao standard postaviti USB-C priključak, te tako smanjiti količinu elektroničkog otpada koji će se generirati kupnjom novih uređaja.
