Nedavno potresno iskustvo još jednom je pokazalo da veganska prehrana nije "dizajnirana" po mjeri najmanjih humanih izdanaka.

Naime, djevojčica u dobi od godinu dana zaprimljena je u bolnicu u australskom gradu Geelongu u kritičnom stanju: imala je otvorene rane, modrice, osip i patila je od jakog unutarnjeg krvarenja. Doveli su je, krajnje zabrinuti, njezini roditelji, vegani, u ranim tridesetim godinama života. Njihova kći u trenutku dolaska u bolnicu bila je k tomu pothranjena i imala je samo šest kilograma, koliko inače znaju težiti tromjesečna djeca.

Prepričani događaj zbio se prije dvije godine; sad ga iznosimo jer se pokazalo da je bebina prehrana na bazi biljnog praha i kokosova mlijeka bila pogubna za njezino zdravlje. Naime, nedvojbeno je utvrđeno da je djevojčica kao posljedicu hranjenja lišenog proteina životinjskog podrijetla (koji bi dobila iz uobičajene hrane za bebe, ili pak iz mlijeka majke koja se hrani raznovrsnim, pa i mesnim namirnicama) oboljela od cerebralne paralize.

Riječ je o trajnom oštećenju mozga zbog pothranjenosti u tako ranoj razvojnoj dobi! Istraga je pokazala da je majka dojila djevojčicu prvih nekoliko mjeseci, da bi joj nakon toga davala isključivo vegansku hranu, koja je bila nedostatna za razvoj.

Medicinska sestra upozorila je roditelje da ne podvrgavaju dijete "etičnoj" prehrani, kako se veganstvo naziva zbog poštednog odnosa prema životinjama. No, oni su zanemarili savjet i hranili su djevojčicu prema svojim prehrambenim navikama, zbog čega se njezin mozak nikad neće oporaviti.

Štoviše, preskakali su kontrolne preglede kod liječnika, što bi curici možda spasilo zdravlje. Umjesto toga, tražili su savjete travara iz SAD-a!

Primjerice, otac djeteta obratio se jednom travaru kad je malena već bila kritično: počela bi kašljati i povraćati svaki put kad bi je pokušao nahraniti. Travar mu je savjetovao da joj dade biljni čaj za želudac. Sedam dana nakon toga bila je na jedinici intenzivnog liječenja u bolnici, te je preživjela zahvaljujući aparatima koji su je održali na životu.

Sud u državi Victoria osudio je roditelje na dvanaest mjeseci društveno korisnog rada. Osim toga, 34-godišnji otac i 32-godišnja majka moraju ići na terapiju.

K tomu, djevojčica sada živi sa majkom, odvojena od oca, jer je žena pokazala izraženiju želju za suradnjom sa socijalnim i zdravstvenim vlastima, te je usvojila prehrambene imperative za razvoj malog djeteta, koji uključuju raznovrsnu prehranu s udjelom proteina i bjelančevina animalnog podrijetla. Nažalost, cerebralna paraliza ostala je kao trajno oštećenje zbog pogrešnog hranjenja u ranoj dojenačkoj dobi.

Nedavno potresno iskustvo još jednom je pokazalo da veganska prehrana nije "dizajnirana" po mjeri najmanjih humanih izdanaka.

Naime, djevojčica u dobi od godinu dana zaprimljena je u bolnicu u australskom gradu Geelongu u kritičnom stanju: imala je otvorene rane, modrice, osip i patila je od jakog unutarnjeg krvarenja. Doveli su je, krajnje zabrinuti, njezini roditelji, vegani, u ranim tridesetim godinama života. Njihova kći u trenutku dolaska u bolnicu bila je k tomu pothranjena i imala je samo šest kilograma, koliko inače znaju težiti tromjesečna djeca.

Prepričani događaj zbio se prije dvije godine; sad ga iznosimo jer se pokazalo da je bebina prehrana na bazi biljnog praha i kokosova mlijeka bila pogubna za njezino zdravlje. Naime, nedvojbeno je utvrđeno da je djevojčica kao posljedicu hranjenja lišenog proteina životinjskog podrijetla (koji bi dobila iz uobičajene hrane za bebe, ili pak iz mlijeka majke koja se hrani raznovrsnim, pa i mesnim namirnicama) oboljela od cerebralne paralize.

Riječ je o trajnom oštećenju mozga zbog pothranjenosti u tako ranoj razvojnoj dobi! Istraga je pokazala da je majka dojila djevojčicu prvih nekoliko mjeseci, da bi joj nakon toga davala isključivo vegansku hranu, koja je bila nedostatna za razvoj.

Medicinska sestra upozorila je roditelje da ne podvrgavaju dijete "etičnoj" prehrani, kako se veganstvo naziva zbog poštednog odnosa prema životinjama. No, oni su zanemarili savjet i hranili su djevojčicu prema svojim prehrambenim navikama, zbog čega se njezin mozak nikad neće oporaviti.

Štoviše, preskakali su kontrolne preglede kod liječnika, što bi curici možda spasilo zdravlje. Umjesto toga, tražili su savjete travara iz SAD-a!

Primjerice, otac djeteta obratio se jednom travaru kad je malena već bila kritično: počela bi kašljati i povraćati svaki put kad bi je pokušao nahraniti. Travar mu je savjetovao da joj dade biljni čaj za želudac. Sedam dana nakon toga bila je na jedinici intenzivnog liječenja u bolnici, te je preživjela zahvaljujući aparatima koji su je održali na životu.

Sud u državi Victoria osudio je roditelje na dvanaest mjeseci društveno korisnog rada. Osim toga, 34-godišnji otac i 32-godišnja majka moraju ići na terapiju.

K tomu, djevojčica sada živi sa majkom, odvojena od oca, jer je žena pokazala izraženiju želju za suradnjom sa socijalnim i zdravstvenim vlastima, te je usvojila prehrambene imperative za razvoj malog djeteta, koji uključuju raznovrsnu prehranu s udjelom proteina i bjelančevina animalnog podrijetla. Nažalost, cerebralna paraliza ostala je kao trajno oštećenje zbog pogrešnog hranjenja u ranoj dojenačkoj dobi.

Usprkos savjetima liječnika, roditelji bebu hranili veganski - posljedice su se brzo pokazale

Nedavno potresno iskustvo još jednom je pokazalo da veganska prehrana nije "dizajnirana" po mjeri najmanjih humanih izdanaka.

Naime, djevojčica u dobi od godinu dana zaprimljena je u bolnicu u australskom gradu Geelongu u kritičnom stanju: imala je otvorene rane, modrice, osip i patila je od jakog unutarnjeg krvarenja. Doveli su je, krajnje zabrinuti, njezini roditelji, vegani, u ranim tridesetim godinama života. Njihova kći u trenutku dolaska u bolnicu bila je k tomu pothranjena i imala je samo šest kilograma, koliko inače znaju težiti tromjesečna djeca.
