Meta, Google, Twitter i Microsoft dogovorili su se u četvrtak da će poduzeti čvršći stav protiv dezinformacija prema novom nadopunjenom EU kodeksu koji bi ih mogao teško kazniti ako to ne učine.

Više od 30 potpisnika, uključujući i tijela za reklamiranje obvezala su se na ažurirani Kodeks o suzbijanju dezinformiranja, rekla je Europska komisija.

Potpisnici su se složili da će činiti više da se bore protiv manipuliranih videozapisa, lažnih računa i političkog reklamiranja, dok nepoštivanje može tvrtkama donijeti kazne u visini i do 6 posto globalnog prometa, rekao je EU dužnosnik prošli tjedan.

Tvrtke, među kojima su TikTok i Amazonova sportska streaming platforma Twitch, imaju šest mjeseci da se usuglase sa svojim obećanjima te će morati predstaviti izvješće o napretku na početku 2023. godine.

"Novi kodeks je dokaz da je Europa naučila svoje lekcije i da više nismo naivni", rekla je potpredsjednica Komisije Vera Jourkova na konferenciji za medije.

Rekla je da su ruska invazija Ukrajine, pandemija covida i britansko povlačenje iz EU ubrzali nastojanje Europske unije da suzbije lažne vijesti.

Sankcije bi mogle uključiti i zabranu tvrtki, rekao je Thierry Breton, povjerenik Europske komisije za unutarnje tržište.

"Ako postoji neprestano kršenje pravila, možemo također razmotriti njihov pristup našem prostoru informiranja", rekao je na konferenciji za medije.

Kritičari poput Udruženja komercijalne televizije i usluga videa na zahtjev u Europi (ACT) rekli su da postoje veliki propusti u revidiranom Kodeksu.

"Izmjene ne nude konkretne obveze za ograničavanjem 'nedopuštenog manipulativnog ponašanja'. Obveze ne idu dalje od generalizacije da se slijedi zakon koji je očigledan i ne zahtijeva Kodeks", rečeno je.

Meta, Google, Twitter i Microsoft dogovorili su se u četvrtak da će poduzeti čvršći stav protiv dezinformacija prema novom nadopunjenom EU kodeksu koji bi ih mogao teško kazniti ako to ne učine.

Više od 30 potpisnika, uključujući i tijela za reklamiranje obvezala su se na ažurirani Kodeks o suzbijanju dezinformiranja, rekla je Europska komisija.

Potpisnici su se složili da će činiti više da se bore protiv manipuliranih videozapisa, lažnih računa i političkog reklamiranja, dok nepoštivanje može tvrtkama donijeti kazne u visini i do 6 posto globalnog prometa, rekao je EU dužnosnik prošli tjedan.

Tvrtke, među kojima su TikTok i Amazonova sportska streaming platforma Twitch, imaju šest mjeseci da se usuglase sa svojim obećanjima te će morati predstaviti izvješće o napretku na početku 2023. godine.

"Novi kodeks je dokaz da je Europa naučila svoje lekcije i da više nismo naivni", rekla je potpredsjednica Komisije Vera Jourkova na konferenciji za medije.

Rekla je da su ruska invazija Ukrajine, pandemija covida i britansko povlačenje iz EU ubrzali nastojanje Europske unije da suzbije lažne vijesti.

Sankcije bi mogle uključiti i zabranu tvrtki, rekao je Thierry Breton, povjerenik Europske komisije za unutarnje tržište.

"Ako postoji neprestano kršenje pravila, možemo također razmotriti njihov pristup našem prostoru informiranja", rekao je na konferenciji za medije.

Kritičari poput Udruženja komercijalne televizije i usluga videa na zahtjev u Europi (ACT) rekli su da postoje veliki propusti u revidiranom Kodeksu.

"Izmjene ne nude konkretne obveze za ograničavanjem 'nedopuštenog manipulativnog ponašanja'. Obveze ne idu dalje od generalizacije da se slijedi zakon koji je očigledan i ne zahtijeva Kodeks", rečeno je.

Meta, Google, Twitter i Microsoft dogovorili su se u četvrtak da će poduzeti čvršći stav protiv dezinformacija prema novom nadopunjenom EU kodeksu koji bi ih mogao teško kazniti ako to ne učine.

Više od 30 potpisnika, uključujući i tijela za reklamiranje obvezala su se na ažurirani Kodeks o suzbijanju dezinformiranja, rekla je Europska komisija.

Potpisnici su se složili da će činiti više da se bore protiv manipuliranih videozapisa, lažnih računa i političkog reklamiranja, dok nepoštivanje može tvrtkama donijeti kazne u visini i do 6 posto globalnog prometa, rekao je EU dužnosnik prošli tjedan.

Tvrtke, među kojima su TikTok i Amazonova sportska streaming platforma Twitch, imaju šest mjeseci da se usuglase sa svojim obećanjima te će morati predstaviti izvješće o napretk...
