Od ospica je u Italiji u prva dva mjeseca ove godine oboljelo više od 700 osoba, malo manje nego u svih dvanaest mjeseci 2016., kada je oboljelih bilo ukupno 844, od čega u siječnju i veljači 220. Trend je ozbiljan: u ovoj godini bilježi povećanje od 230 posto, što znači da ospice poprimaju aspekt epidemije.

Ospice nisu neozbiljna bolest. Sada godišnje ubiju oko 132.000 osoba godišnje, uglavnom djece, ali je smrtnost bila daleko veća osamdesetih godina, kada su ospice kosile po 2,6 milijuna života godišnje.

Taj koban zbir je smanjen vakcinacijama, ali sada roditelji pružaju sve češći i veći otpor vakciniranju. Neki zbog nehaja, a neki zato što vjeruju tezama na internetu da cijepljenje izaziva autizam (to tvrdi i Donald Trump), razne druge bolesti, odnosno da se pri cijepljenju u djecu ubacuju mikroprocesori kako bi ih vlada mogla nadzirati kroz život.
Imunolozi, naravno, smatraju da je cijepljenje nužno kako za pojedinca, tako i za ostatak društva koje taj pojedinac može zaraziti i ugroziti, osobito ako se smanji obuhvat vakcinacija.

Imunolozi su, međutim, manjina na društvenim mrežama, koje su demokratske, pa podjednako vrijedi mišljenje kuhara ili tapetara, sarkastičan je satiričar Massimo Gramellini. Pronositelji „alternativne istine“ imaju jednaku šansu kao i pronositelji znanstvene istine.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija smatra da opasnost počinje ako je cijepljeno manje od 95 posto pučanstva. U Italiji je, u pogledu ospica, nacionalni prosjek 85 posto (najviše u Lombardiji i Basilicati, po 92 posto, najmanje u Moliseu i Bozenu: 78, odnosno 68 posto). To je cijepljenje preporučeno i besplatno.

Italija sada razmatra ponovno uvođenje obaveznog cijepljenja. Zasad je samo donesen propis da se necijepljena djeca ne smiju upisivati u škole, vrtiće i jaslice.

Opao je i broj cijepljenja protiv nekih još opasnijih bolesti, među kojima strah izazivaju dvije nerijetko smrtonosne: difterija i poliomielitis (dječja paraliza, koja u znatnom dijelu preživjelih izaziva trajan invaliditet).

Od ospica je u Italiji u prva dva mjeseca ove godine oboljelo više od 700 osoba, malo manje nego u svih dvanaest mjeseci 2016., kada je oboljelih bilo ukupno 844, od čega u siječnju i veljači 220. Trend je ozbiljan: u ovoj godini bilježi povećanje od 230 posto, što znači da ospice poprimaju aspekt epidemije.

Ospice nisu neozbiljna bolest. Sada godišnje ubiju oko 132.000 osoba godišnje, uglavnom djece, ali je smrtnost bila daleko veća osamdesetih godina, kada su ospice kosile po 2,6 milijuna života godišnje.

Taj koban zbir je smanjen vakcinacijama, ali sada roditelji pružaju sve češći i veći otpor vakciniranju. Neki zbog nehaja, a neki zato što vjeruju tezama na internetu da cijepljenje izaziva autizam (to tvrdi i Donald Trump), razne druge bolesti, odnosno da se pri cijepljenju u djecu ubacuju mikroprocesori kako bi ih vlada mogla nadzirati kroz život.
Imunolozi, naravno, smatraju da je cijepljenje nužno kako za pojedinca, tako i za ostatak društva koje taj pojedinac može zaraziti i ugroziti, osobito ako se smanji obuhvat vakcinacija.

Imunolozi su, međutim, manjina na društvenim mrežama, koje su demokratske, pa podjednako vrijedi mišljenje kuhara ili tapetara, sarkastičan je satiričar Massimo Gramellini. Pronositelji „alternativne istine“ imaju jednaku šansu kao i pronositelji znanstvene istine.

Svjetska zdravstvena organizacija smatra da opasnost počinje ako je cijepljeno manje od 95 posto pučanstva. U Italiji je, u pogledu ospica, nacionalni prosjek 85 posto (najviše u Lombardiji i Basilicati, po 92 posto, najmanje u Moliseu i Bozenu: 78, odnosno 68 posto). To je cijepljenje preporučeno i besplatno.

Italija sada razmatra ponovno uvođenje obaveznog cijepljenja. Zasad je samo donesen propis da se necijepljena djeca ne smiju upisivati u škole, vrtiće i jaslice.

Opao je i broj cijepljenja protiv nekih još opasnijih bolesti, među kojima strah izazivaju dvije nerijetko smrtonosne: difterija i poliomielitis (dječja paraliza, koja u znatnom dijelu preživjelih izaziva trajan invaliditet).
