Osiguravajuća kuća New York Marine and General Insurance Co. podnijela je tužbu protiv glumice Amber Heard na saveznom sudu jer smatra da joj ne mora ništa isplatiti po polici osiguranja pokrića troškova suđenja protiv bivšeg supruga zbog toga što je njezin poraz na sudu u postupku koji je protiv nje vodio  Johnny Depp posljedica njezinih akcija.


Godine 2019. Depp je zatražio 50 milijuna dolara odštete od bivše supruge zbog njezina uvodnika objavljenog u Washington Postu u prosincu 2018. u kojemu se ona opisala kao javnu osobu, žrtvu nasilja u kući.

Iako u tekstu nije imenovala Deppa, zvijezda "Pirata s Kariba" na sudu je ustvrdila da je bilo jasno da je on tema komentara.
Prošlog je mjeseca Deppu dosuđena odšteta zbog klevete  od više od 10 milijuna dolara nakon šest tjedan suđenja.


Osiguravajući društvo tvrdi da je dužno isplatiti osigurani slučaj po polici samo ako osiguranik nije sam uzrokovao štetu, pozivajući se na kalifornijski zakon po kojemu osiguravajuća kuća "nije odgovorna za gubitke koji su posjedica svjesnog čina osiguranika".

Osiguravajuća kuća New York Marine and General Insurance Co. podnijela je tužbu protiv glumice Amber Heard na saveznom sudu jer smatra da joj ne mora ništa isplatiti po polici osiguranja pokrića troškova suđenja protiv bivšeg supruga zbog toga što je njezin poraz na sudu u postupku koji je protiv nje vodio  Johnny Depp posljedica njezinih akcija.


Godine 2019. Depp je zatražio 50 milijuna dolara odštete od bivše supruge zbog njezina uvodnika objavljenog u Washington Postu u prosincu 2018. u kojemu se ona opisala kao javnu osobu, žrtvu nasilja u kući.

Iako u tekstu nije imenovala Deppa, zvijezda "Pirata s Kariba" na sudu je ustvrdila da je bilo jasno da je on tema komentara.
Prošlog je mjeseca Deppu dosuđena odšteta zbog klevete  od više od 10 milijuna dolara nakon šest tjedan suđenja.


Osiguravajući društvo tvrdi da je dužno isplatiti osigurani slučaj po polici samo ako osiguranik nije sam uzrokovao štetu, pozivajući se na kalifornijski zakon po kojemu osiguravajuća kuća "nije odgovorna za gubitke koji su posjedica svjesnog čina osiguranika".
