Brojne manekenke odlučile su stati na kraj seksualnom uznemiravanju i zlostavljanju u otvorenom pismu upućenom brendu Victoria's Secret i njegovim sestrinskim brendovima.
Peticiju "Vrijeme je za poštovanje" potpisalo je više od stotinu modela među kojima su Milla Jovovich, Doutzen Kroes, Christy Turlington Burns, ali i srpska manekenka Ana Mihajlović.
- Zabrinute smo zbog sigurnosti i dobrobiti modela i mladih djevojaka koje žele biti manekenke Victoria's Secreta. U posljednjih nekoliko tjedana čule smo za brojne optužbe za seksualno uznemiravanje, navodno silovanje te seksualno trgovanje modelima.
Iako optužbe nisu usmjerene izravno protiv Victoria's Secreta, jasno je da vaša tvrtka ima ključnu ulogu u popravljanju situacije - napisale su.
Uznemirava ih činjenica da unatoč brojnim optužbama za seksualno zlostavljanje brend nije prestao raditi s financijskim savjetnikom Jeffreyem Epsteinom kao ni s fotografima Timurom Emekom, Davidom Bellemereom i Gregom Kadelom.
- Ovi muškarci su iskoristili poslovne veze s Victoria's Secretom da bi namamili i zlostavljali ranjive djevojke. Pogođene smo ovim pričama jer smo se i same susrele s takvom vrstom zlostavljanja koja se u našoj industriji prečesto tolerira - izjavile su zabrinute manekenke koje su odlučile pomoći budućim naraštajima modela.
"Program poštovanja" jedini je program koji se bori protiv seksualnog zlostavljanja manekenki, a kojeg vode same manekenke. Pokrenula ga je organizacija Model Alliance koja se bavi promicanjem poštenja i prava u modnoj industriji.
- Pozivamo Victoria's Secret da poduzme značajne mjere kako bi zaštitili svoj talent i one koji teže suradnji s tvrtkom. Promjene mogu započeti s vama - uputile su poziv brendu.
Ipak, ne slažu se svi modeli s ovim pismom.
- Već su otpustili fotografe na koje su se djevojke žalile. Ako uistinu želite zaštititi manekenke od zlostavljanja, onda prozovite agencije i agente jer su oni pravi razlog uznemiravanja - komentirala je anđelica Sara Sampaio ispod objave Model Alliancea na Instagramu, a podržala je i kolegica.
- Ovo nije pošteno. Kada sam im se požalila na Davida B., otpustili su ga sutradan. Oni su najpošteniji brend s kojim sam ikad radila. Proučite prošle događaje prije nego što optužite nekog - napisala je Lais Ribeiro.
Izgleda kako trenutna situacija Victoria's Secreta nije najsjajnija. Dugogodišnji šef marketinga Ed Razek prije nekoliko dana dao je ostavku. Iako se točan razlog ne zna, pretpostavlja se da je odlučio otići zbog nove suradnje brenda s prvom transrodnom manekenkom Valentinom Sampaio. Naime, Razeku se nije sviđala ideja da angažira plus-size i transrodne modele.
- Bismo li trebali imati transrodne manekenke na reviji? Mislim da ne bismo. Zašto? Jer je naša revija fantazija i jedini show takve vrste. Zašto bismo ga mijenjali? - izjavio je u jednom intervjuu za američki Vogue.
Modni svijet također je šokirala i vijest da se ove godine čuvena revija Victoria's Secreta neće održati.

Brojne manekenke odlučile su stati na kraj seksualnom uznemiravanju i zlostavljanju u otvorenom pismu upućenom brendu Victoria's Secret i njegovim sestrinskim brendovima.
Peticiju "Vrijeme je za poštovanje" potpisalo je više od stotinu modela među kojima su Milla Jovovich, Doutzen Kroes, Christy Turlington Burns, ali i srpska manekenka Ana Mihajlović.
- Zabrinute smo zbog sigurnosti i dobrobiti modela i mladih djevojaka koje žele biti manekenke Victoria's Secreta. U posljednjih nekoliko tjedana čule smo za brojne optužbe za seksualno uznemiravanje, navodno silovanje te seksualno trgovanje modelima.
Iako optužbe nisu usmjerene izravno protiv Victoria's Secreta, jasno je da vaša tvrtka ima ključnu ulogu u popravljanju situacije - napisale su.
Uznemirava ih činjenica da unatoč brojnim optužbama za seksualno zlostavljanje brend nije prestao raditi s financijskim savjetnikom Jeffreyem Epsteinom kao ni s fotografima Timurom Emekom, Davidom Bellemereom i Gregom Kadelom.
- Ovi muškarci su iskoristili poslovne veze s Victoria's Secretom da bi namamili i zlostavljali ranjive djevojke. Pogođene smo ovim pričama jer smo se i same susrele s takvom vrstom zlostavljanja koja se u našoj industriji prečesto tolerira - izjavile su zabrinute manekenke koje su odlučile pomoći budućim naraštajima modela.
"Program poštovanja" jedini je program koji se bori protiv seksualnog zlostavljanja manekenki, a kojeg vode same manekenke. Pokrenula ga je organizacija Model Alliance koja se bavi promicanjem poštenja i prava u modnoj industriji.
- Pozivamo Victoria's Secret da poduzme značajne mjere kako bi zaštitili svoj talent i one koji teže suradnji s tvrtkom. Promjene mogu započeti s vama - uputile su poziv brendu.
Ipak, ne slažu se svi modeli s ovim pismom.
- Već su otpustili fotografe na koje su se djevojke žalile. Ako uistinu želite zaštititi manekenke od zlostavljanja, onda prozovite agencije i agente jer su oni pravi razlog uznemiravanja - komentirala je anđelica Sara Sampaio ispod objave Model Alliancea na Instagramu, a podržala je i kolegica.
- Ovo nije pošteno. Kada sam im se požalila na Davida B., otpustili su ga sutradan. Oni su najpošteniji brend s kojim sam ikad radila. Proučite prošle događaje prije nego što optužite nekog - napisala je Lais Ribeiro.
Izgleda kako trenutna situacija Victoria's Secreta nije najsjajnija. Dugogodišnji šef marketinga Ed Razek prije nekoliko dana dao je ostavku. Iako se točan razlog ne zna, pretpostavlja se da je odlučio otići zbog nove suradnje brenda s prvom transrodnom manekenkom Valentinom Sampaio. Naime, Razeku se nije sviđala ideja da angažira plus-size i transrodne modele.
- Bismo li trebali imati transrodne manekenke na reviji? Mislim da ne bismo. Zašto? Jer je naša revija fantazija i jedini show takve vrste. Zašto bismo ga mijenjali? - izjavio je u jednom intervjuu za američki Vogue.
Modni svijet također je šokirala i vijest da se ove godine čuvena revija Victoria's Secreta neće održati.
