Tata Motors prošlog je tjedna podigla tri milijarde eura jednogodišnjeg zajma kako bi mogla financirati svoju kupnju Jaguara i Land Rovera. Zajam je podignut uz pomoć JPMorgana i Citigroupa, a izvori bliski tvrtki kažu da će Tata platiti Fordu dvije milijarde dolara, dok će jedan dio tog novca otići na daljnje troškove za istraživanje i razvoj.
Nagađa se da će drugi dio od preostale milijarde dolara Tata uložiti u troškove koje će joj izazvati proizvodnja modela Nano, koji će u prodaju krenuti tijekom druge polovice ove godine. Očekuje se da će objava o detaljima prodaje izaći krajem ovog tjedna, no mogla bi se dogoditi još jedna odgoda.
Priroda odnosa
Naime, detalji prodaje su trebali biti objavljeni početkom ožujka, no Tata i Ford još raspravljaju o tome kakav će biti njihov budući odnos nakon što Indijci postanu vlasnici Jaguara i Land Rovera, nekadašnjih ponosa britanske automobilističke industrije. Još nije do kraja razjašnjeno hoće li Ford i dalje opskrbljivati Jaguarove i Land Roverove modele motorima i ostalim komponentama.
Svi benzinski motori za ova dva branda dolaze iz Fordove tvornice u Južnom Walesu, dok dizelski stižu iz Dagenhama. Razvoj novih motora jedan je od najvećih troškova prilikom konstruiranja novih automobila, stoga bi Tati odgovaralo kad bi je Ford barem još jedno vrijeme mogao opskrbljivati motorima.

Osim financija, tu je i moment iskustva u izradi sofisticiranih motora, koji će morati biti ugrađivani u sve nove generacije automobila ova dva branda (koje se već sada razvijaju) kako bi mogli odgovarati ekološkim zahtjevima u Europi i SAD-u, najvećim tržištima za ova dva automobila.
Tu je i treći razlog zbog kojeg će Ford i dalje ugrađivati motore u Jaguare i Land Rovere, a to su sindikati. Naime, sindikalni čelnici su već izjavili da neće stvarati probleme, stoga su se pojavile spekulacije o tome da su im poslovi sigurni jer će proizvodnja motora ostati na istoj razini. Jedino što sindikati nisu uspjeli izboriti jest ostanak Forda u ove dvije tvrtke u ulozi manjinskog vlasnika.

S Land Roverom lakše
Land Rover će biti manji problem jer je njegova gama popularna, a ne ovisi samo o jednom modelu. Kod Jaguara sve ovisi o XF-u, koji se zasad prodaje kao što je planirano, no ne ostane li tako, tvrtka će biti u velikim problemima.
Osim njega, naime, trenutačno kaskaju za konkurencijom na većim i bogatijim tržištima koja su im najbitnija. S druge strane, Land Rover ima Freelander i Range Rover (u standardnoj i sport izvedbi), koji su vrlo popularni u svojim klasama.

Tata Motors prošlog je tjedna podigla tri milijarde eura jednogodišnjeg zajma kako bi mogla financirati svoju kupnju Jaguara i Land Rovera. Zajam je podignut uz pomoć JPMorgana i Citigroupa, a izvori bliski tvrtki kažu da će Tata platiti Fordu dvije milijarde dolara, dok će jedan dio tog novca otići na daljnje troškove za istraživanje i razvoj.
Nagađa se da će drugi dio od preostale milijarde dolara Tata uložiti u troškove koje će joj izazvati proizvodnja modela Nano, koji će u prodaju krenuti tijekom druge polovice ove godine. Očekuje se da će objava o detaljima prodaje izaći krajem ovog tjedna, no mogla bi se dogoditi još jedna odgoda.
Priroda odnosa
Naime, detalji prodaje su trebali biti objavljeni početkom ožujka, no Tata i Ford još raspravljaju o tome kakav će biti njihov budući odnos nakon što Indijci postanu vlasnici Jaguara i Land Rovera, nekadašnjih ponosa britanske automobilističke industrije. Još nije do kraja razjašnjeno hoće li Ford i dalje opskrbljivati Jaguarove i Land Roverove modele motorima i ostalim komponentama.
Svi benzinski motori za ova dva branda dolaze iz Fordove tvornice u Južnom Walesu, dok dizelski stižu iz Dagenhama. Razvoj novih motora jedan je od najvećih troškova prilikom konstruiranja novih automobila, stoga bi Tati odgovaralo kad bi je Ford barem još jedno vrijeme mogao opskrbljivati motorima.

Osim financija, tu je i moment iskustva u izradi sofisticiranih motora, koji će morati biti ugrađivani u sve nove generacije automobila ova dva branda (koje se već sada razvijaju) kako bi mogli odgovarati ekološkim zahtjevima u Europi i SAD-u, najvećim tržištima za ova dva automobila.
Tu je i treći razlog zbog kojeg će Ford i dalje ugrađivati motore u Jaguare i Land Rovere, a to su sindikati. Naime, sindikalni čelnici su već izjavili da neće stvarati probleme, stoga su se pojavile spekulacije o tome da su im poslovi sigurni jer će proizvodnja motora ostati na istoj razini. Jedino što sindikati nisu uspjeli izboriti jest ostanak Forda u ove dvije tvrtke u ulozi manjinskog vlasnika.

S Land Roverom lakše
Land Rover će biti manji problem jer je njegova gama popularna, a ne ovisi samo o jednom modelu. Kod Jaguara sve ovisi o XF-u, koji se zasad prodaje kao što je planirano, no ne ostane li tako, tvrtka će biti u velikim problemima.
Osim njega, naime, trenutačno kaskaju za konkurencijom na većim i bogatijim tržištima koja su im najbitnija. S druge strane, Land Rover ima Freelander i Range Rover (u standardnoj i sport izvedbi), koji su vrlo popularni u svojim klasama.
