Povodom Međunarodniog dana sjećanja na žrtve holokausta Adela Roudi, administratorica popularne Facebook grupe "Split kroz povijest", podijelila je dirljivu objavu.
- Splitski su Židovi u vrijeme ustaške i njemačke okupacije grada doživjeli svoju nacionalnu tragediju. Za razliku od Njemaca i ustaša, talijanske su vlasti bile prema njima nešto tolerantnije i potkupljivije. Kad su Nijemci 1943. došli u Split zatočili su sve Židove, osim rijetkih koji su uspjeli pobjeći ili otići u partizane i poslali ih u logore smrti. Za vrijeme 2. svjetskog rata židovska zajednica u Splitu je brojila 284 člana. Strahovito je stradala pod njemačkom okupacijom.
„U Splitu je pred Drugi svjetski rat bilo 284 Židova, od kojih je 114 ili 40 posto stupilo u NOV. Od 114 sudionika, 82 su bili muškarci od kojih je stradalo 26, i 32 žene od kojih su stradale tri, tj. ukupno je poginulo 29 Židova u redovima NOV-a, a najveći broj je stradao na području Dalmacije.
Ipak su Nijemci i ustaše u Splitu zatekli priličan broj splitskih Židova, ali treba reći da su to uglavnom bile žene, djeca i starci, te neki mlađi koji su bili bolesni ili nisu htjeli napustiti svoje stare roditelje. Od splitskih Židova u logore je odvedena i pobijena 121 osoba i to 22 djece, 52 muškarca i 47 žena, od kojih je 65 osoba bilo staro od 55 do 80 godina. Nijemci su najprije odveli muškarce, a žene i djecu (čak i dojenčad, op. p.) su odveli ustaše 11. ožujka 1944. g. kamionima, preko Imotskog u Jasenovac, odakle nitko nije izašao živ. Dakle, od 284 člana, židovska zajednica u Splitu izgubila je 150 članova ili 52,8 posto, preko polovine ih je poginulo, što u borbi, što u logorima. Osim onih koji su preživjeli rat u jedinicama NOV-a, rat je preživjelo i 49 Židova, neki u zbjegu, a prije bijega iz Splita. Nijemci su pustili posljednje zatočene splitske Židove. Dvadesetak Židova spasio je šef zaraznog odjeljenja splitske bolnice dr. Mihovil Silobrčić, koji ih je sve do kraja njemačke okupacije zadržavao na svom odjelu kao bolesne, unatoč požurivanju Nijemaca i vlastitom riziku.“

Povodom Međunarodniog dana sjećanja na žrtve holokausta Adela Roudi, administratorica popularne Facebook grupe "Split kroz povijest", podijelila je dirljivu objavu.
- Splitski su Židovi u vrijeme ustaške i njemačke okupacije grada doživjeli svoju nacionalnu tragediju. Za razliku od Njemaca i ustaša, talijanske su vlasti bile prema njima nešto tolerantnije i potkupljivije. Kad su Nijemci 1943. došli u Split zatočili su sve Židove, osim rijetkih koji su uspjeli pobjeći ili otići u partizane i poslali ih u logore smrti. Za vrijeme 2. svjetskog rata židovska zajednica u Splitu je brojila 284 člana. Strahovito je stradala pod njemačkom okupacijom.
„U Splitu je pred Drugi svjetski rat bilo 284 Židova, od kojih je 114 ili 40 posto stupilo u NOV. Od 114 sudionika, 82 su bili muškarci od kojih je stradalo 26, i 32 žene od kojih su stradale tri, tj. ukupno je poginulo 29 Židova u redovima NOV-a, a najveći broj je stradao na području Dalmacije.
Ipak su Nijemci i ustaše u Splitu zatekli priličan broj splitskih Židova, ali treba reći da su to uglavnom bile žene, djeca i starci, te neki mlađi koji su bili bolesni ili nisu htjeli napustiti svoje stare roditelje. Od splitskih Židova u logore je odvedena i pobijena 121 osoba i to 22 djece, 52 muškarca i 47 žena, od kojih je 65 osoba bilo staro od 55 do 80 godina. Nijemci su najprije odveli muškarce, a žene i djecu (čak i dojenčad, op. p.) su odveli ustaše 11. ožujka 1944. g. kamionima, preko Imotskog u Jasenovac, odakle nitko nije izašao živ. Dakle, od 284 člana, židovska zajednica u Splitu izgubila je 150 članova ili 52,8 posto, preko polovine ih je poginulo, što u borbi, što u logorima. Osim onih koji su preživjeli rat u jedinicama NOV-a, rat je preživjelo i 49 Židova, neki u zbjegu, a prije bijega iz Splita. Nijemci su pustili posljednje zatočene splitske Židove. Dvadesetak Židova spasio je šef zaraznog odjeljenja splitske bolnice dr. Mihovil Silobrčić, koji ih je sve do kraja njemačke okupacije zadržavao na svom odjelu kao bolesne, unatoč požurivanju Nijemaca i vlastitom riziku.“
