Nakon što smo temeljem Facebook objave ”Street cats of Split” informirali javnost o trovanju mačaka na splitskim Skalicama, stupili smo u kontakt sa susjedama i volonterkama neprofitne organizacije za zaštitu životinju koje su svjedočile ovim uznemirujućim prizorima.

Mirjana Petrović živi na Tablama i sa susjedom Anom Martinović svjedoči nestanku mačaka posljednjih deset dana:
- Trovanje se događa u ograđenom dvoru iza zgrade na adresi Table 8. Hranimo ih godinama, bilo ih je 25, sada ih je ostalo možda osam! Počelo je prije 10 dana i samo su počele nestajati. Nismo bile ni svjesne što se događa. Cijelo susjedstvo vodi računa o mačkama, ima nas mnogo tu! Prošli tjedan smo našle macu u kućici mrtvu. Zvali smo ”As Eko”. Prekjučer ujutro je opet skupio jednu, drugu jučer ujutro, pa treću... Tada smo shvatili da je trovanje masovno. Na tacni smo našli plavu smjesu – rekla nam je Mirjana Petrović.

Šest mrtvih, nedostaje desetak, brojka možda i mnogo veća
Do sada je šest mačaka pronađeno mrtvih, nedostaje ih desetak, uključujući i kućnog mačka koji je noću izlazio, kažu nam iz organizacije ”Street cats”:
- Sumnjamo na pužomor. Ostavljen je u malom ograđenom dvoru u blizini Osnovne škole Spinut i Skalice. Osoba koja je to vidjela nam je rekla da je to put kojim njeno dijete ide u školu. Ovako je svake godine na području Tabla, Spinuta i Varoša. Najgore bude u proljeće prije sezone i u ovo predblagdansko vrijeme kao prije nekoliko godina kada ih je sedam uginulo od masovnog trovanja – rekle su nam.

Ovo nije prvi slučaj masovnog trovanja mačaka u Splitu, nastavljaju nam volonterke. Prije par mjeseci se slično događalo na Lovačkom putu kod Lovrinca kada je otrovano 10 do 15 mačaka. Sada strahuju da bi broj uginulih mačaka mogao biti i mnogo veći:
- Mačke su po prirodi životinje koje se ne udomljavaju, nego im je prirodno okruženje vani u prirodi. Kada umiru, zavlače se na mjesta gdje ih nitko ne vidi kako bi uginule u miru. Zato strahujemo od broja uginulih mačaka – rekli su nam iz ”Street cats of Split”.

Iako je predviđena kazna zatvora za ubijanje i mučenje životinja godina dana zatvora, to i dalje ne sprječava pojedince na ovakva strašna djela koja su za svaku osudu. Problem je što se rijetko nađu počinitelji, kazne nisu velike, a ljudi zbog toga, kao i straha od potencijalne osvete, ne prijavljuju svaki slučaj. Unatočoj korektnoj suradnji s Gradom, do uspostave azila ćemo redovito svjedočiti uginulim mačkama na putu do pekare ujutro na Tablama, poručile su na Facebooku ”Street cats of Split”. Odgovor policije čekamo.

Nakon što smo temeljem Facebook objave ”Street cats of Split” informirali javnost o trovanju mačaka na splitskim Skalicama, stupili smo u kontakt sa susjedama i volonterkama neprofitne organizacije za zaštitu životinju koje su svjedočile ovim uznemirujućim prizorima.

Mirjana Petrović živi na Tablama i sa susjedom Anom Martinović svjedoči nestanku mačaka posljednjih deset dana:
- Trovanje se događa u ograđenom dvoru iza zgrade na adresi Table 8. Hranimo ih godinama, bilo ih je 25, sada ih je ostalo možda osam! Počelo je prije 10 dana i samo su počele nestajati. Nismo bile ni svjesne što se događa. Cijelo susjedstvo vodi računa o mačkama, ima nas mnogo tu! Prošli tjedan smo našle macu u kućici mrtvu. Zvali smo ”As Eko”. Prekjučer ujutro je opet skupio jednu, drugu jučer ujutro, pa treću... Tada smo shvatili da je trovanje masovno. Na tacni smo našli plavu smjesu – rekla nam je Mirjana Petrović.

Šest mrtvih, nedostaje desetak, brojka možda i mnogo veća
Do sada je šest mačaka pronađeno mrtvih, nedostaje ih desetak, uključujući i kućnog mačka koji je noću izlazio, kažu nam iz organizacije ”Street cats”:
- Sumnjamo na pužomor. Ostavljen je u malom ograđenom dvoru u blizini Osnovne škole Spinut i Skalice. Osoba koja je to vidjela nam je rekla da je to put kojim njeno dijete ide u školu. Ovako je svake godine na području Tabla, Spinuta i Varoša. Najgore bude u proljeće prije sezone i u ovo predblagdansko vrijeme kao prije nekoliko godina kada ih je sedam uginulo od masovnog trovanja – rekle su nam.

Ovo nije prvi slučaj masovnog trovanja mačaka u Splitu, nastavljaju nam volonterke. Prije par mjeseci se slično događalo na Lovačkom putu kod Lovrinca kada je otrovano 10 do 15 mačaka. Sada strahuju da bi broj uginulih mačaka mogao biti i mnogo veći:
- Mačke su po prirodi životinje koje se ne udomljavaju, nego im je prirodno okruženje vani u prirodi. Kada umiru, zavlače se na mjesta gdje ih nitko ne vidi kako bi uginule u miru. Zato strahujemo od broja uginulih mačaka – rekli su nam iz ”Street cats of Split”.

Iako je predviđena kazna zatvora za ubijanje i mučenje životinja godina dana zatvora, to i dalje ne sprječava pojedince na ovakva strašna djela koja su za svaku osudu. Problem je što se rijetko nađu počinitelji, kazne nisu velike, a ljudi zbog toga, kao i straha od potencijalne osvete, ne prijavljuju svaki slučaj. Unatočoj korektnoj suradnji s Gradom, do uspostave azila ćemo redovito svjedočiti uginulim mačkama na putu do pekare ujutro na Tablama, poručile su na Facebooku ”Street cats of Split”. Odgovor policije čekamo.
