Prošlo je točno 80 godina od "najhumanije bitke Drugog svjetskog rata", kako se nazivala Bitka na Neretvi u kojoj su partizani evakuirali 4.000 ranjenika. Ofenziva pod njemačkim kodnim imenom Fall Weiss (hrv. Bijeli slučaj) bila je strateški plan da se zajedničkim napadom Sila osovine zada konačni udarac partizanskom pokretu; u čemu nisu uspjeli.
Iste godine se dogodila i Bitka na Sutjesci ("Operacija Schwarz") koja je bila od važnog vojnog, ali i političkog značaja. U ovoj bitci je poginulo preko 3.000 Dalmatinaca, a nakon nje se dogodila prekretnica koja je definirala daljnji tijek rata.
Tim povodom splitski SDP je organizirao tribinu: ”Što nam Neretva i Sutjeska znače danas”, na kojem je gostovao predavač Hrvoje Klasić, poznati hrvatski povjesničar.
- Mislim da bi gotovo svi narodi u Europi dali sve na svijetu da imaju ono što imaju Dalmatinci, Hrvati ili stanovnici Hrvatske. Od 1941. do 1945. godine na ovom prostoru je bio apsolutno najveći, najbrojniji, najorganiziraniji pokret otpora na području Europe. Nitko to nije imao. Neki drugi, da imaju petinu onoga što smo imali mi, slavili bi svaki dan, a mi se i tog jednog dana kojeg imamo, Dan antifašizma, gotovo sramimo. To je moja poruka, posebno mladima - ustvrdio je Klasić.

Objasnio je kako su brojni Česi, Slovaci, Poljaci, Mađari pa i Hrvati u ratu stajali sa strane, za razliku od jugoslavenskih partizana.
- Postoji alternativa da se odupre zlu i represiji, koja nije uvijek ugodna. Tridesetih i četrdesetih godina to su bili nacizam i fašizam, danas imamo neke oblike, neke druge prijetnje. Mladi bi trebali možda naučiti nešto upravo na ovome iz prošlosti i biti aktivni sudionici svijeta u kojem žive, a ne pasivni promatrači - rekao je povjesničar.
Kazao je i da mladi danas ne znaju o borbama u Dalmaciji ili Slavoniji devedesetih.
- Oko nekih tema se društvo polarizira pa velik dio od njih bježi, ne želi se time baviti. Mi moramo postaviti konsenzus oko stvari u prošlosti, onda će se vjerojatno normalizirati odnos društva prema tome - zaključio je Klasić.

Prošlo je točno 80 godina od "najhumanije bitke Drugog svjetskog rata", kako se nazivala Bitka na Neretvi u kojoj su partizani evakuirali 4.000 ranjenika. Ofenziva pod njemačkim kodnim imenom Fall Weiss (hrv. Bijeli slučaj) bila je strateški plan da se zajedničkim napadom Sila osovine zada konačni udarac partizanskom pokretu; u čemu nisu uspjeli.
Iste godine se dogodila i Bitka na Sutjesci ("Operacija Schwarz") koja je bila od važnog vojnog, ali i političkog značaja. U ovoj bitci je poginulo preko 3.000 Dalmatinaca, a nakon nje se dogodila prekretnica koja je definirala daljnji tijek rata.
Tim povodom splitski SDP je organizirao tribinu: ”Što nam Neretva i Sutjeska znače danas”, na kojem je gostovao predavač Hrvoje Klasić, poznati hrvatski povjesničar.
- Mislim da bi gotovo svi narodi u Europi dali sve na svijetu da imaju ono što imaju Dalmatinci, Hrvati ili stanovnici Hrvatske. Od 1941. do 1945. godine na ovom prostoru je bio apsolutno najveći, najbrojniji, najorganiziraniji pokret otpora na području Europe. Nitko to nije imao. Neki drugi, da imaju petinu onoga što smo imali mi, slavili bi svaki dan, a mi se i tog jednog dana kojeg imamo, Dan antifašizma, gotovo sramimo. To je moja poruka, posebno mladima - ustvrdio je Klasić.

Objasnio je kako su brojni Česi, Slovaci, Poljaci, Mađari pa i Hrvati u ratu stajali sa strane, za razliku od jugoslavenskih partizana.
- Postoji alternativa da se odupre zlu i represiji, koja nije uvijek ugodna. Tridesetih i četrdesetih godina to su bili nacizam i fašizam, danas imamo neke oblike, neke druge prijetnje. Mladi bi trebali možda naučiti nešto upravo na ovome iz prošlosti i biti aktivni sudionici svijeta u kojem žive, a ne pasivni promatrači - rekao je povjesničar.
Kazao je i da mladi danas ne znaju o borbama u Dalmaciji ili Slavoniji devedesetih.
- Oko nekih tema se društvo polarizira pa velik dio od njih bježi, ne želi se time baviti. Mi moramo postaviti konsenzus oko stvari u prošlosti, onda će se vjerojatno normalizirati odnos društva prema tome - zaključio je Klasić.
