Ugledni sportski novinar
Edo Pezzi dobitnik je Nagrade za životno djelo grada Splita. Još jedno je to u nizu priznanja poznatom radijskom komentatoru, no prvi put Pezziju se poklonio njegov Split.
- Dobio sam 14 nagrada u životu, sjetio me se Hrvatski olimpijski odbor, Vlada, Udruženje novinara, Savez sportova Hrvatske, ali ova nagrada mi je ipak najdraža. I nije da sam od onih koji pate za nagradama. Zašto? Pa jer vani možeš biti najbolji fizičar, sportaš, matematičar ili inženjer, a sve to ne vrijedi ako ti počast nije odao Split.
Treća nominacija
Inače, ovo je treći put da sam nominiran za Nagradu grada. Godine 2002., za gradonačelnika Slobodana Beroša, nisam je dobio jer “nisam zadovoljavao nekakve formalno-pravne razloge”.
Drugi put sam se sam povukao i već sam gotovo na to zaboravio... Sve dok nisam pročitao kako sam ove godine u probranom društvu s Verzottijem, akademikom Cambijem, Skračićem i Vidakovićem.
Bombardiraju me sa svih strana porukama, podršku sam dobio i iz Japana, Sjeverne i Južne Amerike... - govori nam laureat Pezzi, a nas je zanimalo i čime se sada bavi, što radi kao “penzioner”, što ga zabavlja.
- Ostavio sam se dnevnog novinarstva i službenih putovanja, to me više ne zanima, došle su godine i nemam adrenalina. Razlog zašto je to tako leži i u “velikoj želji” Vanje Sutlića, generalnog direktora HRT-a, da ne radim.
Zbog nekog razloga me nije želio, a uz to mi je radio iza leđa kako više ne bih surađivao s redakcijom. Srećom, tamo ima dosta ljudi koje poštujem i zbog kojih još uvijek radim honorarno. Doduše, pristao sam biti ispomoć sportskoj redakciji na radiju kad treba uskočiti mlađim kolegama.
Također, usmjerio sam se na sportove koji nisu toliko “tiražni” poput jedrenja ili gimnastike, na primjer - priča Pezzi.
Također, paralelno, kako nam je priznao, radi i na vlastitoj knjizi, biografiji “Moj život sa mikrofonom - udžbenik za mlade novinare”, koju je pisao kroz anegdote s velikim sportašima i sportskim funkcionarima popuz Branka Zebeca, Tomislava Ivića, Muhameda Alija...
- Udarnički sam prionio tom poslu tako da mi je dan ispunjen. Kao penzioneru mi je ipak najdraže leć u krevet znajući da sutra nemam nikakvih poslovnih obveza. Isto, imam po svijetu puno prijatelja i sad je vrijeme da ih konačno obiđem - zaključio je na kraju naš sugovornik.

Ugledni sportski novinar
Edo Pezzi dobitnik je Nagrade za životno djelo grada Splita. Još jedno je to u nizu priznanja poznatom radijskom komentatoru, no prvi put Pezziju se poklonio njegov Split.
- Dobio sam 14 nagrada u životu, sjetio me se Hrvatski olimpijski odbor, Vlada, Udruženje novinara, Savez sportova Hrvatske, ali ova nagrada mi je ipak najdraža. I nije da sam od onih koji pate za nagradama. Zašto? Pa jer vani možeš biti najbolji fizičar, sportaš, matematičar ili inženjer, a sve to ne vrijedi ako ti počast nije odao Split.
Treća nominacija
Inače, ovo je treći put da sam nominiran za Nagradu grada. Godine 2002., za gradonačelnika Slobodana Beroša, nisam je dobio jer “nisam zadovoljavao nekakve formalno-pravne razloge”.
Drugi put sam se sam povukao i već sam gotovo na to zaboravio... Sve dok nisam pročitao kako sam ove godine u probranom društvu s Verzottijem, akademikom Cambijem, Skračićem i Vidakovićem.
Bombardiraju me sa svih strana porukama, podršku sam dobio i iz Japana, Sjeverne i Južne Amerike... - govori nam laureat Pezzi, a nas je zanimalo i čime se sada bavi, što radi kao “penzioner”, što ga zabavlja.
- Ostavio sam se dnevnog novinarstva i službenih putovanja, to me više ne zanima, došle su godine i nemam adrenalina. Razlog zašto je to tako leži i u “velikoj želji” Vanje Sutlića, generalnog direktora HRT-a, da ne radim.
Zbog nekog razloga me nije želio, a uz to mi je radio iza leđa kako više ne bih surađivao s redakcijom. Srećom, tamo ima dosta ljudi koje poštujem i zbog kojih još uvijek radim honorarno. Doduše, pristao sam biti ispomoć sportskoj redakciji na radiju kad treba uskočiti mlađim kolegama.
Također, usmjerio sam se na sportove koji nisu toliko “tiražni” poput jedrenja ili gimnastike, na primjer - priča Pezzi.
Također, paralelno, kako nam je priznao, radi i na vlastitoj knjizi, biografiji “Moj život sa mikrofonom - udžbenik za mlade novinare”, koju je pisao kroz anegdote s velikim sportašima i sportskim funkcionarima popuz Branka Zebeca, Tomislava Ivića, Muhameda Alija...
- Udarnički sam prionio tom poslu tako da mi je dan ispunjen. Kao penzioneru mi je ipak najdraže leć u krevet znajući da sutra nemam nikakvih poslovnih obveza. Isto, imam po svijetu puno prijatelja i sad je vrijeme da ih konačno obiđem - zaključio je na kraju naš sugovornik.
