Završna konferencija projekta "Stavljanje u funkciju novoizgrađene nastambe za pokusne životinje na Sveučilištu u Splitu“, održana je danas u amfiteatru Medicinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Splitu.

Riječ je o projekt sufinanciranom iz Europskog fonda za regionalni razvoj ukupne vrijednosti 19.214.337,50 kuna, a voditelj mu je prof.dr.sc. Janoš Terzić. Zahvalio je svim suradnicima na ovom zahtjevnom projektu kojemu je cilj podrška razvoju eksperimentalnih znanosti iz biomedicinskog i prirodoslovnog područja na nivou čitavog Sveučilišta, te istaknuo da su nastambe za pokusne životinje temeljna znanstvena infrastruktura svake zemlje te je većina patofizioloških mehanizama nastanka bolesti otkrivena na eksperimentalnim, animalnim modelima gdje se bolesti može pažljivo proučavati te pronaći i testirati nove terapije, što na ljudima nije moguće.

Postojanje nastambe po uzoru na najbolje svjetske znanstvene centre dugoročno će dovesti do povećanog istraživačkog potencijala koji bi trebao doprinijeti očuvanju ljudskog zdravlja iznalaženjem novih terapija te dijagnostičkih mogućnost, smatraju na Sveučilištu. Ističu i kako će sva istraživanja biti vođena jasnim stručnim pravilima i etičkim načelima, a kako je propisano i Direktivom Europskog parlamenta i Vijeća o zaštiti životinja koje se koriste u znanstvene svrhe.

- Imunološka istraživanja vraćaju se svojoj kući- kazao je rektor prof.dr. Dragan Ljutić. Istaknuvši velika imena splitskih znanstvenika prof. Vlahovića, prof. Marušića, prof. Rošina, prof. Rakića, prof. Rumboldta… apostrofirao je ovaj projekt kao najbolju sliku Sveučilišta u Splitu danas.

- Naše relativno mlado i moderno sveučilište  dom je velikog broja vrhunskih znanstvenika. Oni su snaga i poziv svim mladim ljudima da dođu studirati u Split, razvijati osobne kompetencije, ali i znanost uopće te ostanu živjeti i raditi u Splitu i Hrvatskoj- poručio je rektor.

Prof.dr. Ante Tonkić, dekan Medicinskog fakulteta, naglasio je da im je temeljna misija promoviranje nastavne i znanstvene izvrsnosti, a upravo je dovršavanje ovog projekta koji je financirala EU, čiji je nositelj Sveučilište u Splitu, a glavni partner Medicinski fakultet, odnosno Centarza translacijska istraživanja u biomedicini.

Podsjetio je da splitski Medicinski fakultet jedini u Hrvatskoj kontinuirano i tijekom COVID-19 pandemije provodi "hibridni" oblik nastave te da niti u jednom trenutku nisu prekidali kliničku nastavu, te da su prvi u Hrvatsko i među prvima i EU organizirano procijepili studentsku populaciju koja sudjeluje u kliničkoj nastavi.

Prof.dr.sc. Leandra Vranješ-Markić, prorektorica za znanost, ukazala je na međunarodnu prepoznatljivost Sveučilišta u Splitu baš u području pretkliničkih i kliničkih medicinskih istraživanja zdravstva. Prepoznato je to na brojnim rang-ljestvicama.

- Ova oprema biti dostupna svima, ne samo znanstvenicima s Medicinskog fakulteta. Ukupna projektna ulaganja na Sveučilištu u Splitu iznose gotovo 180 milijuna kuna - kazala je.

Prof.dr.sc. Katarina Vukojević, prodekanica za znanost Medicinskog fakulteta u Splitu i voditeljica Centra za translacijska istraživanja u biomedicini, istaknula je kako je entuzijazam jedna od najvećih vrijednosti Sveučilišta u Splitu.

- Oprema i prostor vrijedan je kapital no ljudi su ipak ti koji su najdragocjeniji, a upravo oni će imati priliku raditi u našem Centru za translacijska istraživanja u biomedicini- zaključila je Vukojević.

Završna konferencija projekta "Stavljanje u funkciju novoizgrađene nastambe za pokusne životinje na Sveučilištu u Splitu“, održana je danas u amfiteatru Medicinskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Splitu.

Riječ je o projekt sufinanciranom iz Europskog fonda za regionalni razvoj ukupne vrijednosti 19.214.337,50 kuna, a voditelj mu je prof.dr.sc. Janoš Terzić. Zahvalio je svim suradnicima na ovom zahtjevnom projektu kojemu je cilj podrška razvoju eksperimentalnih znanosti iz biomedicinskog i prirodoslovnog područja na nivou čitavog Sveučilišta, te istaknuo da su nastambe za pokusne životinje temeljna znanstvena infrastruktura svake zemlje te je većina patofizioloških mehanizama nastanka bolesti otkrivena na eksperimentalnim, animalnim modelima gdje se bolesti može pažljivo proučavati te pronaći i testirati nove terapije, što na ljudima nije moguće.

Postojanje nastambe po uzoru na najbolje svjetske znanstvene centre dugoročno će dovesti do povećanog istraživačkog potencijala koji bi trebao doprinijeti očuvanju ljudskog zdravlja iznalaženjem novih terapija te dijagnostičkih mogućnost, smatraju na Sveučilištu. Ističu i kako će sva istraživanja biti vođena jasnim stručnim pravilima i etičkim načelima, a kako je propisano i Direktivom Europskog parlamenta i Vijeća o zaštiti životinja koje se koriste u znanstvene svrhe.

- Imunološka istraživanja vraćaju se svojoj kući- kazao je rektor prof.dr. Dragan Ljutić. Istaknuvši velika imena splitskih znanstvenika prof. Vlahovića, prof. Marušića, prof. Rošina, prof. Rakića, prof. Rumboldta… apostrofirao je ovaj projekt kao najbolju sliku Sveučilišta u Splitu danas.

- Naše relativno mlado i moderno sveučilište  dom je velikog broja vrhunskih znanstvenika. Oni su snaga i poziv svim mladim ljudima da dođu studirati u Split, razvijati osobne kompetencije, ali i znanost uopće te ostanu živjeti i raditi u Splitu i Hrvatskoj- poručio je rektor.

Prof.dr. Ante Tonkić, dekan Medicinskog fakulteta, naglasio je da im je temeljna misija promoviranje nastavne i znanstvene izvrsnosti, a upravo je dovršavanje ovog projekta koji je financirala EU, čiji je nositelj Sveučilište u Splitu, a glavni partner Medicinski fakultet, odnosno Centarza translacijska istraživanja u biomedicini.

Podsjetio je da splitski Medicinski fakultet jedini u Hrvatskoj kontinuirano i tijekom COVID-19 pandemije provodi "hibridni" oblik nastave te da niti u jednom trenutku nisu prekidali kliničku nastavu, te da su prvi u Hrvatsko i među prvima i EU organizirano procijepili studentsku populaciju koja sudjeluje u kliničkoj nastavi.

Prof.dr.sc. Leandra Vranješ-Markić, prorektorica za znanost, ukazala je na međunarodnu prepoznatljivost Sveučilišta u Splitu baš u području pretkliničkih i kliničkih medicinskih istraživanja zdravstva. Prepoznato je to na brojnim rang-ljestvicama.

- Ova oprema biti dostupna svima, ne samo znanstvenicima s Medicinskog fakulteta. Ukupna projektna ulaganja na Sveučilištu u Splitu iznose gotovo 180 milijuna kuna - kazala je.

Prof.dr.sc. Katarina Vukojević, prodekanica za znanost Medicinskog fakulteta u Splitu i voditeljica Centra za translacijska istraživanja u biomedicini, istaknula je kako je entuzijazam jedna od najvećih vrijednosti Sveučilišta u Splitu.

- Oprema i prostor vrijedan je kapital no ljudi su ipak ti koji su najdragocjeniji, a upravo oni će imati priliku raditi u našem Centru za translacijska istraživanja u biomedicini- zaključila je Vukojević.
