Rak je danas izlječiva bolest pa prema nekim procjenama 28 milijuna ljudi je preživjelo maligne bolesti u svijetu. Međutim, podaci o Hrvatskoj nisu optimistični jer smo predzadnji u Europi po broj umrlih od raka.

O toj, uvijek aktualnoj, temi smo popričali s prof.dr.sc. Brankom Petrić Miše, sa Klinike za onkologiju i radioterapiju KBC Split, koja nam je rekla:

- Razlozi lošim ishodima u Hrvatskoj, uključujući onkologiju su brojni. Najvažniji razlog je nedostatak vizije i organizacija zdravstvene službe u postojećoj situaciji. Drugi važan razlog je nedostatak zdravstvenog kadra, prvenstveno liječnika i medicinskih sestara. Treći veliki razlog je preskromno i presporo izdvajanje sredstava za zdravstvo, od prevencije do palijative. Svima je jasno da je uspjeh i zadovoljstvo u zdravstvu dvosmjerna ulica koja će se preslikat na zadovoljstvo i bolje ishode bolesnih ljudi.“ Svakodnevno se susrećete sa ženama oboljelima od raka dojke. Zbog čega je on još uvijek na prvom mjestu u ženskoj populaciji po broj oboljelih, usprkos mogućnosti preventivnih pregleda. Slična je situacija i s karcinomom debelog crijeva.

Liječnica kaže kako je rak dojke veliki svjetski pa i hrvatski javnozdravstveni problem zbog visoke pojavnosti.

- Danas znamo da će svaka deveta žena oboljeti od raka dojke. Bolest je multifaktorijalna što znači da može biti potaknuta učešćem jednog ili više rizičnih faktora. To je prvenstveno odnosi na dob žene, jer je bolest češća u starijoj dobi, i hormonske promjene, pošto je bolest češća kod nerotkinja, rane prve i kasne zadnje menstruacije, učestalih hormonskih intervencija kod potpomognute trudnoće te kod primjene hormonske nadomjestne terapije. Kod raka dojke važno je učešće genetskih faktora, pušenja, pretilosti i fizičke neaktivnosti.

Petrić Miše naglašava važnost genetskog testiranja bolesnicama koje za to imaju indikaciju, te u slučaju pozitivnog nalaza, savjetovanje i testiranje srodnika. Dodaje i da bolesne žene sa specifičnim mutacijama imaju mogućnost personaliziranog liječenja što poboljšava preživljenje, a njihovim srodnicima s potvrđenim mutacijama definira se rizik poboljevanja, ritam i vrsta kontrolnih pregleda, odnosno preventivne farmakološke i kirurške intervencije.

Na pitanje što bi se prema njenom iskustvu još trebalo učiniti kada je riječ o prevenciji, doktorica ističe edukaciju pučanstva o nizu preporuka i mjera kojima se uklanja ili smanjuje utjecaj rizičnih čimbenika koji pogoduju razvoju maligne bolesti.

Neovisno o kojoj malignoj bolesti pričamo, generalne preporuke bi bile: 

- Čuvajte život kroz uravnoteženu prehranu, tjelovježbu, redovit san, prestanak pušenja i pretjerane konzumacije alkohola

- Družite se i kroz podršku obitelji i prijatelja pravilno upravljajte stresom i jačajte mentalno zdravlje.

- Ne zaboravite na pozitivne misli i pozitivne životne stavove koji hrane život i produžuju mu vijek.

- Preuzmite odgovornost za svoje zdravlje kroz samopreglede (dojki, kože), odaziv na probir (mamografija, ginekološki pregledi, testovi na okultno krvarenje i kolonoskopija, i sl.), te kontrolne preglede u slučaju tegoba.

Ovogodišnji Race for the cure omogućit će da se sredstvima od registracije za Think pink organiziraju preventivni pregledi žena u Zagori mobilnim mamografom. Županijska Liga taj zadatak obavit će u suradnji s Nastavni zavodom “Andrija Štampar“.

Zato vas organizatori još jednom pozivaju da se priključite ovom događaju u nedjelju 24. rujna na splitskoj Rivi, s početkom u 18 sati. Možete trčati, šetati ili jednostavno biti tamo i dati svoju potporu.

Rak je danas izlječiva bolest pa prema nekim procjenama 28 milijuna ljudi je preživjelo maligne bolesti u svijetu. Međutim, podaci o Hrvatskoj nisu optimistični jer smo predzadnji u Europi po broj umrlih od raka.

O toj, uvijek aktualnoj, temi smo popričali s prof.dr.sc. Brankom Petrić Miše, sa Klinike za onkologiju i radioterapiju KBC Split, koja nam je rekla:

- Razlozi lošim ishodima u Hrvatskoj, uključujući onkologiju su brojni. Najvažniji razlog je nedostatak vizije i organizacija zdravstvene službe u postojećoj situaciji. Drugi važan razlog je nedostatak zdravstvenog kadra, prvenstveno liječnika i medicinskih sestara. Treći veliki razlog je preskromno i presporo izdvajanje sredstava za zdravstvo, od prevencije do palijative. Svima je jasno da je uspjeh i zadovoljstvo u zdravstvu dvosmjerna ulica koja će se preslikat na zadovoljstvo i bolje ishode bolesnih ljudi.“ Svakodnevno se susrećete sa ženama oboljelima od raka dojke. Zbog čega je on još uvijek na prvom mjestu u ženskoj populaciji po broj oboljelih, usprkos mogućnosti preventivnih pregleda. Slična je situacija i s karcinomom debelog crijeva.

Liječnica kaže kako je rak dojke veliki svjetski pa i hrvatski javnozdravstveni problem zbog visoke pojavnosti.

- Danas znamo da će svaka deveta žena oboljeti od raka dojke. Bolest je multifaktorijalna što znači da može biti potaknuta učešćem jednog ili više rizičnih faktora. To je prvenstveno odnosi na dob žene, jer je bolest češća u starijoj dobi, i hormonske promjene, pošto je bolest češća kod nerotkinja, rane prve i kasne zadnje menstruacije, učestalih hormonskih intervencija kod potpomognute trudnoće te kod primjene hormonske nadomjestne terapije. Kod raka dojke važno je učešće genetskih faktora, pušenja, pretilosti i fizičke neaktivnosti.

Petrić Miše naglašava važnost genetskog testiranja bolesnicama koje za to imaju indikaciju, te u slučaju pozitivnog nalaza, savjetovanje i testiranje srodnika. Dodaje i da bolesne žene sa specifičnim mutacijama imaju mogućnost personaliziranog liječenja što poboljšava preživljenje, a njihovim srodnicima s potvrđenim mutacijama definira se rizik poboljevanja, ritam i vrsta kontrolnih pregleda, odnosno preventivne farmakološke i kirurške intervencije.

Na pitanje što bi se prema njenom iskustvu još trebalo učiniti kada je riječ o prevenciji, doktorica ističe edukaciju pučanstva o nizu preporuka i mjera kojima se uklanja ili smanjuje utjecaj rizičnih čimbenika koji pogoduju razvoju maligne bolesti.

Neovisno o kojoj malignoj bolesti pričamo, generalne preporuke bi bile: 

- Čuvajte život kroz uravnoteženu prehranu, tjelovježbu, redovit san, prestanak pušenja i pretjerane konzumacije alkohola

- Družite se i kroz podršku obitelji i prijatelja pravilno upravljajte stresom i jačajte mentalno zdravlje.

- Ne zaboravite na pozitivne misli i pozitivne životne stavove koji hrane život i produžuju mu vijek.

- Preuzmite odgovornost za svoje zdravlje kroz samopreglede (dojki, kože), odaziv na probir (mamografija, ginekološki pregledi, testovi na okultno krvarenje i kolonoskopija, i sl.), te kontrolne preglede u slučaju tegoba.

Ovogodišnji Race for the cure omogućit će da se sredstvima od registracije za Think pink organiziraju preventivni pregledi žena u Zagori mobilnim mamografom. Županijska Liga taj zadatak obavit će u suradnji s Nastavni zavodom “Andrija Štampar“.

Zato vas organizatori još jednom pozivaju da se priključite ovom događaju u nedjelju 24. rujna na splitskoj Rivi, s početkom u 18 sati. Možete trčati, šetati ili jednostavno biti tamo i dati svoju potporu.
