Kažu kako su nam još Mlečani donijeli balote u Dalmaciju, jesu ili nisu – nije ni bitno, mi smo ih prihvatili ko "rođene". Nema kvarta u našem gradu koji svoj zjog za balote nema.

Uvijek ćete oko tog centra naići na najviše ljudi, neki će igrati, neki samo gledati, svi će komentirati i baš svi koristiti i mjesto i vrijeme za razmjenu mišljenja. Ne samo o igri, naravno. Ide to puno šire. Sklapaju se reprezentacije, rješavaju ekonomske dubioze, raspredaju najnoviji znanstveni podaci o cjepivima i boleštinama.

Činjenica je kako za "bacit na balote" nije potrebna neka velika snaga, niti brzina, a bome ni tjelesna kondicija, bitno je "oštro oko i mirna ruka". Isto tako, ozljeda uistinu rijetko ima, ako uopće, a uvijek je redom riječ o ozlijeđenom promatraču. Odbije se balota i pogodi nekoga oko zjoga, ali, Bože moj, živimo i s tim rizikom...

Znanje, iskustvo, volja

Zbog svega gore nabrojenog – nerijetko će balote zaigrati i oni kojima životna energija ne da da broje svjećice na torti. Broj je ionako samo broj. Pa makar bio i preko 90.

Baš smo zbog tih znamenki svratili do Turske kule, na tamošnjem zjogu "oštro oko i mirnu ruku" svakodnevno ukrštavaju oni koji su devet desetljeća života ostavili iza sebe. Profesor u miru Ante Šantić ima 91 godinu, Ivan Odak godinu više, no energije i volje imaju kao da su u tridesetima. I zdravlje ih, Bogu dragom hvala, služi. Društvo im pomaže donoseći im radost, a redovito gobanje vraća mišićima snagu. Taman kako treba.

– Kako igraju ovi stariji? – nepristojno pitamo ostale sudionike.

– Oni su najbolji! Najjači su – kažu nam.

Znanje je to. I iskustvo. I volja. A bome i talenta ima, vidi se.

Marija valja prva liga

Među njima i dama u najboljim godinama, žene se za godine ne pita, ali Marija Blažević veli:

– Sedamdeset osam, pa se vi mislite.

– Marija valja prva liga – kažu nam ljubitelji balota na Turskoj kuli.

Ante Polić, u znamenkama: 81, jedan je od mlađih koji je zadužen za održavanje terena.

I kapetan.

O, da, mnoge su se generacije izmijenile na ovom terenu, dolazi im sve više mladih. Mladi koji ne misle tradiciju predati zaboravu. Jer, ako niste znali, "bacanje na balote" je vrhunska zabava. Nema mjesta u gradu na kojem ćete čuti bolje batude, preko uha poslušati najbolje ispričane priče, legende, pa i, dopustite, viceve, šale, pošalice.

– Neki od naših balotaša u životu su bili profešuri, imamo i doktore znanosti, likare, imamo radnike, ratnike, svake vele. A kad smo ovde, na zjogu, svi smo isti. Poštuje se red, cijene se godine i iskustvo, a druženje je prvo, pa onda svako misec dana spremimo kakvu spizu, okrene se janje, profešta se – nabrajaju nam gledatelji.

Unuci i didovi

Skriveni pod borovima, okupljeni oko besprijekorno održavanog zjoga, svakoga dana susret zakazuju nakon 17 sati. Tada je sunce ipak nešto blaže. Do "vijesti" su tu. Kad je žešća partija – ostanu i duže, kako je i red.

U dalmatinskoj verziji boćanja, naime, nema vremenskog ograničenja, partija se može razvuć na par sati, dok se pobjednik ne iznjedri, dok se ne dođe šta bliže bulinu... A Bože moj, prioriteti su prioriteti. Pričekat će svjetske novitade da se razbistri tko je taj dan na Turskoj kuli skupio više punata.

Godine na "Turskoj", ponavljamo, samo su broj. Unuci su, pak, druga priča. Gledaju svoje didove kako drže balotu ispred očiju, zatvorena oka ciljaju i određuju udaljenost, odbacuju drvenu kuglu visoko – dok ne padne u pržinu, "cika" ili "ubije" drugu boću. Gledaju i pamte. I to je odgoj. U miru, zajedno, aktivno. Prošetajte do njih, svašta se tamo da naučit.

Kažu kako su nam još Mlečani donijeli balote u Dalmaciju, jesu ili nisu – nije ni bitno, mi smo ih prihvatili ko "rođene". Nema kvarta u našem gradu koji svoj zjog za balote nema.

Uvijek ćete oko tog centra naići na najviše ljudi, neki će igrati, neki samo gledati, svi će komentirati i baš svi koristiti i mjesto i vrijeme za razmjenu mišljenja. Ne samo o igri, naravno. Ide to puno šire. Sklapaju se reprezentacije, rješavaju ekonomske dubioze, raspredaju najnoviji znanstveni podaci o cjepivima i boleštinama.

Činjenica je kako za "bacit na balote" nije potrebna neka velika snaga, niti brzina, a bome ni tjelesna kondicija, bitno je "oštro oko i mirna ruka". Isto tako, ozljeda uistinu rijetko ima, ako uopće, a uvijek je redom riječ o ozlijeđenom promatraču. Odbije se balota i pogodi nekoga oko zjoga, ali, Bože moj, živimo i s tim rizikom...

Znanje, iskustvo, volja

Zbog svega gore nabrojenog – nerijetko će balote zaigrati i oni kojima životna energija ne da da broje svjećice na torti. Broj je ionako samo broj. Pa makar bio i preko 90.

Baš smo zbog tih znamenki svratili do Turske kule, na tamošnjem zjogu "oštro oko i mirnu ruku" svakodnevno ukrštavaju oni koji su devet desetljeća života ostavili iza sebe. Profesor u miru Ante Šantić ima 91 godinu, Ivan Odak godinu više, no energije i volje imaju kao da su u tridesetima. I zdravlje ih, Bogu dragom hvala, služi. Društvo im pomaže donoseći im radost, a redovito gobanje vraća mišićima snagu. Taman kako treba.

– Kako igraju ovi stariji? – nepristojno pitamo ostale sudionike.

– Oni su najbolji! Najjači su – kažu nam.

Znanje je to. I iskustvo. I volja. A bome i talenta ima, vidi se.

Izbijaju.

Valjaju.

Marija valja prva liga

Među njima i dama u najboljim godinama, žene se za godine ne pita, ali Marija Blažević veli:

– Sedamdeset osam, pa se vi mislite.

– Marija valja prva liga – kažu nam ljubitelji balota na Turskoj kuli.

Ante Polić, u znamenkama: 81, jedan je od mlađih koji je zadužen za održavanje terena.

I kapetan.

O, da, mnoge su se generacije izmijenile na ovom terenu, dolazi im sve više mladih. Mladi koji ne misle tradiciju predati zaboravu. Jer, ako niste znali, "bacanje na balote" je vrhunska zabava. Nema mjesta u gradu na kojem ćete čuti bolje batude, preko uha poslušati najbolje ispričane priče, legende, pa i, dopustite, viceve, šale, pošalice.

– Neki od naših balotaša u životu su bili profešuri, imamo i doktore znanosti, likare, imamo radnike, ratnike, svake vele. A kad smo ovde, na zjogu, svi smo isti. Poštuje se red, cijene se godine i iskustvo, a druženje je prvo, pa onda svako misec dana spremimo kakvu spizu, okrene se janje, profešta se – nabrajaju nam gledatelji.

Unuci i didovi

Skriveni pod borovima, okupljeni oko besprijekorno održavanog zjoga, svakoga dana susret zakazuju nakon 17 sati. Tada je sunce ipak nešto blaže. Do "vijesti" su tu. Kad je žešća partija – ostanu i duže, kako je i red.

U dalmatinskoj verziji boćanja, naime, nema vremenskog ograničenja, partija se može razvuć na par sati, dok se pobjednik ne iznjedri, dok se ne dođe šta bliže bulinu... A Bože moj, prioriteti su prioriteti. Pričekat će svjetske novitade da se razbistri tko je taj dan na Turskoj kuli skupio više punata.

Godine na "Turskoj", ponavljamo, samo su broj. Unuci su, pak, druga priča. Gledaju svoje didove kako drže balotu ispred očiju, zatvorena oka ciljaju i određuju udaljenost, odbacuju drvenu kuglu visoko – dok ne padne u pržinu, "cika" ili "ubije" drugu boću. Gledaju i pamte. I to je odgoj. U miru, zajedno, aktivno. Prošetajte do njih, svašta se tamo da naučit.
