Britanski teškaš Anthony Joshua, u devetom mjesecu protekle godine izgubio je WBA (Super), IBF, WBO i IBO pojaseve u teškoj kategoriji. Oleksandr Usyk odradio je sjajan meč te večeri u Londonu i Joshua je morao pružiti ruku boljem.

Sjajni Ukrajinac nekoć je bio apsolutni vladar cruiser kategorije, a pobjedom nad Joshuom, dokazao je kako itekako može i protiv najboljih teškaša. Ostao je Usyk neporažen i nakon 19. profesionalnog meča, a iako je bio poprilično uvjerljiv protiv Joshue, AJ se odlučio aktivirati opciju instantnog revanša - piše FightSite.

Drugi meč Joshue i Usyka po mnogim najavama trebao se dogoditi negdje u četvrtom ili petom mjesecu ove godine, no sve je poremetio rat u Ukrajini. Brojni ukrajinski sportaši vratili su se pomoći svojoj državi, a među njima je bio i Oleksandr Usyk. Sve to, dovelo je revanš protiv Joshue pod znak upitnika, a engleski boksač okrenuo se traženju zamjene. Otto Wallin, Joe Joyce i Deontay Wilder spominjali su se kao zamjene, ali čini se kako neće biti potrebe za zamjenom.

Naime, Usyk je napustio Ukrajinu kako bi se mogao okrenuti pripremama za meč protiv Joshue. Neki izvori govore da se Usyk planira spremati u Poljskoj, no BBC odbacuje takve navode. Daily Mail ima određena saznanja kako će Usykov trening kamp biti u Oxnardu, gradiću blizu Los Angelesa.

Nije poznato kako i zašto se dogodio preokret cjelokupne situacije. Usyk je donedavno govorio kako mu je ''domovina puno važnija od pojasa svjetskog boksačkog prvaka''. Do nekakvog zaokreta očito je došlo i Usyk je dobio dopuštenje ukrajinskih vlasti za prelazak granice i ulazak u Poljsku gdje se trenutno nalazi.

Nije poznato kada bi se revanš njega i Joshue trebao održati, ali nagađa se kako bi to moglo biti krajem lipnja (šesti mjesec) ili početkom srpnja (sedmi mjesec). Hoće li mu Ukrajinci zamjeriti ovakav potez ili ne, teško je reći. Sigurno je kako će boksačkim fanovima diljem svijeta biti drago što se Usyk više ne izlaže životnoj opasnosti te ćemo ga ponovno gledati u ringu, jer ipak se radi o majstoru kakav se ne rađa često.

Britanski teškaš Anthony Joshua, u devetom mjesecu protekle godine izgubio je WBA (Super), IBF, WBO i IBO pojaseve u teškoj kategoriji. Oleksandr Usyk odradio je sjajan meč te večeri u Londonu i Joshua je morao pružiti ruku boljem.

Sjajni Ukrajinac nekoć je bio apsolutni vladar cruiser kategorije, a pobjedom nad Joshuom, dokazao je kako itekako može i protiv najboljih teškaša. Ostao je Usyk neporažen i nakon 19. profesionalnog meča, a iako je bio poprilično uvjerljiv protiv Joshue, AJ se odlučio aktivirati opciju instantnog revanša - piše FightSite.

Drugi meč Joshue i Usyka po mnogim najavama trebao se dogoditi negdje u četvrtom ili petom mjesecu ove godine, no sve je poremetio rat u Ukrajini. Brojni ukrajinski sportaši vratili su se pomoći svojoj državi, a među njima je bio i Oleksandr Usyk. Sve to, dovelo je revanš protiv Joshue pod znak upitnika, a engleski boksač okrenuo se traženju zamjene. Otto Wallin, Joe Joyce i Deontay Wilder spominjali su se kao zamjene, ali čini se kako neće biti potrebe za zamjenom.

Naime, Usyk je napustio Ukrajinu kako bi se mogao okrenuti pripremama za meč protiv Joshue. Neki izvori govore da se Usyk planira spremati u Poljskoj, no BBC odbacuje takve navode. Daily Mail ima određena saznanja kako će Usykov trening kamp biti u Oxnardu, gradiću blizu Los Angelesa.

Nije poznato kako i zašto se dogodio preokret cjelokupne situacije. Usyk je donedavno govorio kako mu je ''domovina puno važnija od pojasa svjetskog boksačkog prvaka''. Do nekakvog zaokreta očito je došlo i Usyk je dobio dopuštenje ukrajinskih vlasti za prelazak granice i ulazak u Poljsku gdje se trenutno nalazi.

Nije poznato kada bi se revanš njega i Joshue trebao održati, ali nagađa se kako bi to moglo biti krajem lipnja (šesti mjesec) ili početkom srpnja (sedmi mjesec). Hoće li mu Ukrajinci zamjeriti ovakav potez ili ne, teško je reći. Sigurno je kako će boksačkim fanovima diljem svijeta biti drago što se Usyk više ne izlaže životnoj opasnosti te ćemo ga ponovno gledati u ringu, jer ipak se radi o majstoru kakav se ne rađa često.

Britanski teškaš Anthony Joshua, u devetom mjesecu protekle godine izgubio je WBA (Super), IBF, WBO i IBO pojaseve u teškoj kategoriji. Oleksandr Usyk odradio je sjajan meč te večeri u Londonu i Joshua je morao pružiti ruku boljem.

Sjajni Ukrajinac nekoć je bio apsolutni vladar cruiser kategorije, a pobjedom nad Joshuom, dokazao je kako itekako može i protiv najboljih teškaša. Ostao je Usyk neporažen i nakon 19. profesionalnog meča, a iako je bio poprilično uvjerljiv protiv Joshue, AJ se odlučio aktivirati opciju instantnog revanša - piše FightSite.
