Višednevna drama bivšeg nogometaša Hajduka i Splita Ivana Pešića u pokušajima da s drugim klupskim suigračima strancima iz Vorskle Poltave pobjegne iz ratom pogođene Ukrajine prava su slika kaosa koji u toj državi vlada uslijed ruske agresije. Pešić je onog dana kada je izbio rat, u četvrtak navečer krenuo iz Poltave, grada u središnjem dijelu države. Tek u nedjelju ujutro stigao je u Split supruzi Antoniji i sinu Mauru koji je taj dan slavio prvi rođendan pa je to bilo dvostruko slavlje.

- Putovali smo 50 sati. Dva dana smo izlazili iz Ukrajine. Na kraju smo nekako jedva ušli u Mađarsku – počeo nam je Pešić priču u kojoj je za nekoliko dana putešesvija doživio ono što drugi možda neće tijekom cijelog života.

- Prije nego je sve krenulo zvao me bivši kolega iz Harkiva i rekao mi da budem spreman, da se nešto događa jer su njih pustili doma. Kada je rat počeo, nismo se mogli evakuirati preko Kijeva jer je tamo katastrofa. Morali smo ići prema jugu pa kroz sredinu Ukrajine prema Mađarskoj. Dobili smo informacije da je tamo najsigurnije. U Poltavi je bilo mirno, da nije bilo gužvi na bankomatima ne bi se ni primijetilo da je rat. Cijelu prvu noć smo vozili bez stajanja. No, morali smo promijeniti planiranu rutu i ići dužim putem po nekim selima jer su ispred nas Ukrajinci srušili most da ga Rusi ne bi koristili za prodor vojske. Skoro smo tada završili u Moldaviji.

Nisu putem nailazili na ratne strahote, ali mnogo živaca i telefonskih poziva trebalo im je da se izvuku. Pomogao im je i prijatelj Ukrajinac. Klub je pokušavao organizirati svojim stranim igračima mini bus, ali vlada nestašica goriva pa su se morali igrači sami snaći.

- Prijatelj je imao dva automobila u Poltavi. Rekao je da ih uzmemo i ostavimo kod njega na zapadu Ukrajine. Nas deset smo se strpali u dva auta, sedam nogometaša, dvije supruge i beba od dvije godine! Suigrač Makedonac Zajkov tamo je bio sa suprugom i sinom. Srećom bili su puni rezervoari u autima i bili su hibridi, jer gdje se i moglo kupiti gorivo čekalo se satima u redu i moglo se kupiti tek 20 litara.

Samo igram slučaja Pešićeva obitelj nije bila s njim.

- Trebali su mi se priključiti za 10-15 dana, ali su nekim suigračima supruge stigle već pred kraj naših priprema u Turskoj s kojih smo došli tri dana prije agresije. Suigrač iz Luksemburga Thill je suprugu i sina od godinu i pol poslao doma zadnjeg dana prije izbijanja rata. Da je čekao još dan...

No, nailazak na srušen most bio je tek početak.

- U jedan ujutro nam je pukla guma pa smo je mijenjali.

Kada su se napokon dovukli do kuće ukrajinskog prijatelja, tamo prespavali, ostavili automobile i taksijima došli do granice nastao je novi problem.

- Nisu nas htjeli pustiti pješke preko granice, samo u automobilima. Molili smo ljude da nas prebace, ali su bili punih vozila ili u strahu. Uz veliku pomoć dvojice Splićana Marina Babarovića (bivši savjetnik splitskog gradonačelnika, nap.a.) i Tomislava Prljevića (bivši splitski gradski vijećnik, nap.a.), gospođe Maje i ljudi iz veleposlanstva, tajnice Dragice iz MVP-a i ministra Grlić Radmana na kraju smo uspjeli. Oni su uspjeli nekako obavijestili Ukrajince na prijelazu pa nam je prišao policajac:

- Jeste li vi ta tri Hrvata koji žele u Mađarsku?

Uz Pešića bili su tu i suigrač David Puclin te Splićanin Dragan Lovrić iz drugoligaša Kryvbasa.

- Rekli smo da jesmo, ali da nas je ukupno tu deset stranaca. Čovjek je bio fer i sve nas je pustio.

No, prijelaz na kojem se moglo pješke prijeći u Mađarsku bio je udaljen 40 kilometara.

- Ušli smo u autobus s indijskim studentima, pa u bus s ukrajinskim ženama i djecom koji je vozio za Bari. Još smo pokupili i indijskog studenta iz Kijeva koji nas je molio da ga izvučemo. Kad smo prošli granicu to je bilo olakšanje, mada na putu nismo viđali avione ni tenkove, samo barikade. Na jednoj na prijelazu u drugu oblast bio je red od 25 kilometara. Provjeravali su da Ukrajinci ne izlaze. Kada smo zaobilazili kolonu, ljudi su se htjeli tući s nama pa smo im objašnjavali da smo stranci.

Jesu li i ostali suigrači stranci na sigurnom?

- Brazilac Rangel je bio sa sunarodnjacima iz Ukrajine u trećem autu. Oni su htjeli ući u Poljsku. Pješke. No, tamo su velike gužve i morao je spavati na otvorenom, na hladnoći. Ložio je vatru da se ne smrzne! Malijac Kane je ostao jer nema vizu za ulazak u većinu zemalja Europe. Ganac Yakubu je krenuo dan iza nas. Sada je u Mađarskoj. Pokušat ćemo ga prebaciti u Hrvatsku.

Što se događa u Poltavi?

- Neki domaći igrači koji nisu iz grada su otišli kućama, ostali su tamo. Na stadionu traju pripreme za obranu grada, rade se barikade za vojna vozila, izrađuju se Molotovljevi kokteli! Igrači su tu i pomažu. Jedna pivovara iz Poltave prebacila se na proizvodnju tekućine za Molotovljeve koktele – završio je svoju neobičnu priču Pešić.

Višednevna drama bivšeg nogometaša Hajduka i Splita Ivana Pešića u pokušajima da s drugim klupskim suigračima strancima iz Vorskle Poltave pobjegne iz ratom pogođene Ukrajine prava su slika kaosa koji u toj državi vlada uslijed ruske agresije. Pešić je onog dana kada je izbio rat, u četvrtak navečer krenuo iz Poltave, grada u središnjem dijelu države. Tek u nedjelju ujutro stigao je u Split supruzi Antoniji i sinu Mauru koji je taj dan slavio prvi rođendan pa je to bilo dvostruko slavlje.

- Putovali smo 50 sati. Dva dana smo izlazili iz Ukrajine. Na kraju smo nekako jedva ušli u Mađarsku – počeo nam je Pešić priču u kojoj je za nekoliko dana putešesvija doživio ono što drugi možda neće tijekom cijelog života.

- Prije nego je sve krenulo zvao me bivši kolega iz Harkiva i rekao mi da budem spreman, da se nešto događa jer su njih pustili doma. Kada je rat počeo, nismo se mogli evakuirati preko Kijeva jer je tamo katastrofa. Morali smo ići prema jugu pa kroz sredinu Ukrajine prema Mađarskoj. Dobili smo informacije da je tamo najsigurnije. U Poltavi je bilo mirno, da nije bilo gužvi na bankomatima ne bi se ni primijetilo da je rat. Cijelu prvu noć smo vozili bez stajanja. No, morali smo promijeniti planiranu rutu i ići dužim putem po nekim selima jer su ispred nas Ukrajinci srušili most da ga Rusi ne bi koristili za prodor vojske. Skoro smo tada završili u Moldaviji.

Nisu putem nailazili na ratne strahote, ali mnogo živaca i telefonskih poziva trebalo im je da se izvuku. Pomogao im je i prijatelj Ukrajinac. Klub je pokušavao organizirati svojim stranim igračima mini bus, ali vlada nestašica goriva pa su se morali igrači sami snaći.

- Prijatelj je imao dva automobila u Poltavi. Rekao je da ih uzmemo i ostavimo kod njega na zapadu Ukrajine. Nas deset smo se strpali u dva auta, sedam nogometaša, dvije supruge i beba od dvije godine! Suigrač Makedonac Zajkov tamo je bio sa suprugom i sinom. Srećom bili su puni rezervoari u autima i bili su hibridi, jer gdje se i moglo kupiti gorivo čekalo se satima u redu i moglo se kupiti tek 20 litara.

Samo igram slučaja Pešićeva obitelj nije bila s njim.

- Trebali su mi se priključiti za 10-15 dana, ali su nekim suigračima supruge stigle već pred kraj naših priprema u Turskoj s kojih smo došli tri dana prije agresije. Suigrač iz Luksemburga Thill je suprugu i sina od godinu i pol poslao doma zadnjeg dana prije izbijanja rata. Da je čekao još dan...

No, nailazak na srušen most bio je tek početak.

- U jedan ujutro nam je pukla guma pa smo je mijenjali.

Kada su se napokon dovukli do kuće ukrajinskog prijatelja, tamo prespavali, ostavili automobile i taksijima došli do granice nastao je novi problem.

- Nisu nas htjeli pustiti pješke preko granice, samo u automobilima. Molili smo ljude da nas prebace, ali su bili punih vozila ili u strahu. Uz veliku pomoć dvojice Splićana Marina Babarovića (bivši savjetnik splitskog gradonačelnika, nap.a.) i Tomislava Prljevića (bivši splitski gradski vijećnik, nap.a.), gospođe Maje i ljudi iz veleposlanstva, tajnice Dragice iz MVP-a i ministra Grlić Radmana na kraju smo uspjeli. Oni su uspjeli nekako obavijestili Ukrajince na prijelazu pa nam je prišao policajac:

- Jeste li vi ta tri Hrvata koji žele u Mađarsku?

Uz Pešića bili su tu i suigrač David Puclin te Splićanin Dragan Lovrić iz drugoligaša Kryvbasa.

- Rekli smo da jesmo, ali da nas je ukupno tu deset stranaca. Čovjek je bio fer i sve nas je pustio.

No, prijelaz na kojem se moglo pješke prijeći u Mađarsku bio je udaljen 40 kilometara.

- Ušli smo u autobus s indijskim studentima, pa u bus s ukrajinskim ženama i djecom koji je vozio za Bari. Još smo pokupili i indijskog studenta iz Kijeva koji nas je molio da ga izvučemo. Kad smo prošli granicu to je bilo olakšanje, mada na putu nismo viđali avione ni tenkove, samo barikade. Na jednoj na prijelazu u drugu oblast bio je red od 25 kilometara. Provjeravali su da Ukrajinci ne izlaze. Kada smo zaobilazili kolonu, ljudi su se htjeli tući s nama pa smo im objašnjavali da smo stranci.

Jesu li i ostali suigrači stranci na sigurnom?

- Brazilac Rangel je bio sa sunarodnjacima iz Ukrajine u trećem autu. Oni su htjeli ući u Poljsku. Pješke. No, tamo su velike gužve i morao je spavati na otvorenom, na hladnoći. Ložio je vatru da se ne smrzne! Malijac Kane je ostao jer nema vizu za ulazak u većinu zemalja Europe. Ganac Yakubu je krenuo dan iza nas. Sada je u Mađarskoj. Pokušat ćemo ga prebaciti u Hrvatsku.

Što se događa u Poltavi?

- Neki domaći igrači koji nisu iz grada su otišli kućama, ostali su tamo. Na stadionu traju pripreme za obranu grada, rade se barikade za vojna vozila, izrađuju se Molotovljevi kokteli! Igrači su tu i pomažu. Jedna pivovara iz Poltave prebacila se na proizvodnju tekućine za Molotovljeve koktele – završio je svoju neobičnu priču Pešić.
