Naslov ove kolumne nije zapravo do kraja precizan. Uvjerljivije bi bilo da piše “Kalifornija u mom oku, a Dalmacija u mom srcu“! Samo koju minutu nakon što je nadareni sudac Patrik Kolarić označio kraj utakmice Šibenik – Dinamo (2:1) zazvonio je mobitel. Pomalo neočekivano s pozivom preko “velike bare“.

- Forza Šibenik – javio nam se iz San Pedra dr. Mirko Giaconi, predsjednik Kluba Splićana “Sveti Duje“, čelni čovjek komiške udruge “Sveti Mikula“ i predsjednik krovne organizacije svih Hrvata u južnoj Kaliforniji.

Na registracijama Hajduk, Jugoplastika, Jadran i Gusar

Koliko je Giaconi zakleti Splićanin i hajdukovac najbolje mogu svjedočiti veterani Hajduka, koji su se s njim i Šibenčaninom Gavrilom Čučukom družili u San Pedru nekoliko mjeseci prije početka Domovinskog rata. Krajem osamdesetih ugledni američki kardiolog posjedovao je četiri automobila, koja su na tablicama imala imena Hajduk, Jugoplastika, Jadran i Gusar (u mladosti je bio veslač Gusara, op. a.). A kalifornijski Splićanin, koji silno poštuje ćaćine korijene iz Komiže, imao je potrebu da i dodatno obrazloži ono „Forza Šibenik“. 

- Pa, vi ste se Šibenčani u pravom trenutku pojavili kao malo čudo. Pobjedom nad Dinamom udaljili ste se na pristojan razmak od borbe za opstanak, a istodobno 11 kola prije kraja učinili prvenstvo koliko-toliko zanimljivijim. Strašno mi se svidjela agresivnost Šibenčana koja me je, ne pretjerujem, podsjetila na njihovu hrabrost u Domovinskom ratu te, posebno, napadač Ivan Dolček. Ne, ne mogu vjerovati da za njega nije bilo mjesta u Hajduku kraj svih igrača, koji su, očito, kupljeni u dućanu “second-hand“ robe – otvorio se zakleti hajdukovac, koji je odavno instalirao sve što je potrebno da bi gledao utakmice Hajduka i Šibenika u njegovoj prekrasnoj vili smještenoj u elitnom predjelu Palos Verdes. Samo se slatko nasmijao, kad smo mu kazali “kako Dolček nije nikakva novost“ kad je riječ o odnosu Hajduka i Šibenika. Podsjetili smo ga da su sličan put dvije sezone ranije prošli i Emir Sahiti, i Marin Jakoliš.

‘Oprosti mi, Bože, jer sam Dalmatinac!’ 

- Znači, po vama je Šibenik kao lječilište, banja za oporavak otpisanih igrača Hajduka? Kako drugačije tumačiti sve što se zbiva u Poljudu – ne baš ozbiljno zborio je Giaconi. Koliko je kalifornijski kardiolog žestok hajdukovac najbolje govori podatak kako je u bivšoj državi nerijetko izravno zrakoplovom iz Los Angelesa stizao u Beograd, na derbije Crvena Zvezda – Hajduk. 

- Sad sam stariji, pa nisam za takve avanture. Osim toga, kao Hrvat, ne palim se toliko na Dinamo koliko sam bio žestok kad bi moji Splićani igrali sa Crvenom zvezdom. Posebice u doba, dok je Bijele vodio nezaboravni, nedostižni Tomislav Ivić. Ne znam imali Hajduk ikakve šanse da bude prvak, ali volio bih da Šibenik postane stabilan prvoligaš. I ne samo to, Nek se probude naši stari, dobri klubovi Split, Zadar i dubrovački GOŠK, koji su dali nemali doprinos povijesti dalmatinskog, pa i hrvatskog nogometa. Ja sam, naime, sklon izjavi Svetog Jeronima “Oprosti mi, Bože, jer sam Dalmatinac“ – završio je Giaconi.

Naslov ove kolumne nije zapravo do kraja precizan. Uvjerljivije bi bilo da piše “Kalifornija u mom oku, a Dalmacija u mom srcu“! Samo koju minutu nakon što je nadareni sudac Patrik Kolarić označio kraj utakmice Šibenik – Dinamo (2:1) zazvonio je mobitel. Pomalo neočekivano s pozivom preko “velike bare“.

- Forza Šibenik – javio nam se iz San Pedra dr. Mirko Giaconi, predsjednik Kluba Splićana “Sveti Duje“, čelni čovjek komiške udruge “Sveti Mikula“ i predsjednik krovne organizacije svih Hrvata u južnoj Kaliforniji.

Na registracijama Hajduk, Jugoplastika, Jadran i Gusar

Koliko je Giaconi zakleti Splićanin i hajdukovac najbolje mogu svjedočiti veterani Hajduka, koji su se s njim i Šibenčaninom Gavrilom Čučukom družili u San Pedru nekoliko mjeseci prije početka Domovinskog rata. Krajem osamdesetih ugledni američki kardiolog posjedovao je četiri automobila, koja su na tablicama imala imena Hajduk, Jugoplastika, Jadran i Gusar (u mladosti je bio veslač Gusara, op. a.). A kalifornijski Splićanin, koji silno poštuje ćaćine korijene iz Komiže, imao je potrebu da i dodatno obrazloži ono „Forza Šibenik“. 

- Pa, vi ste se Šibenčani u pravom trenutku pojavili kao malo čudo. Pobjedom nad Dinamom udaljili ste se na pristojan razmak od borbe za opstanak, a istodobno 11 kola prije kraja učinili prvenstvo koliko-toliko zanimljivijim. Strašno mi se svidjela agresivnost Šibenčana koja me je, ne pretjerujem, podsjetila na njihovu hrabrost u Domovinskom ratu te, posebno, napadač Ivan Dolček. Ne, ne mogu vjerovati da za njega nije bilo mjesta u Hajduku kraj svih igrača, koji su, očito, kupljeni u dućanu “second-hand“ robe – otvorio se zakleti hajdukovac, koji je odavno instalirao sve što je potrebno da bi gledao utakmice Hajduka i Šibenika u njegovoj prekrasnoj vili smještenoj u elitnom predjelu Palos Verdes. Samo se slatko nasmijao, kad smo mu kazali “kako Dolček nije nikakva novost“ kad je riječ o odnosu Hajduka i Šibenika. Podsjetili smo ga da su sličan put dvije sezone ranije prošli i Emir Sahiti, i Marin Jakoliš.

‘Oprosti mi, Bože, jer sam Dalmatinac!’ 

- Znači, po vama je Šibenik kao lječilište, banja za oporavak otpisanih igrača Hajduka? Kako drugačije tumačiti sve što se zbiva u Poljudu – ne baš ozbiljno zborio je Giaconi. Koliko je kalifornijski kardiolog žestok hajdukovac najbolje govori podatak kako je u bivšoj državi nerijetko izravno zrakoplovom iz Los Angelesa stizao u Beograd, na derbije Crvena Zvezda – Hajduk. 

- Sad sam stariji, pa nisam za takve avanture. Osim toga, kao Hrvat, ne palim se toliko na Dinamo koliko sam bio žestok kad bi moji Splićani igrali sa Crvenom zvezdom. Posebice u doba, dok je Bijele vodio nezaboravni, nedostižni Tomislav Ivić. Ne znam imali Hajduk ikakve šanse da bude prvak, ali volio bih da Šibenik postane stabilan prvoligaš. I ne samo to, Nek se probude naši stari, dobri klubovi Split, Zadar i dubrovački GOŠK, koji su dali nemali doprinos povijesti dalmatinskog, pa i hrvatskog nogometa. Ja sam, naime, sklon izjavi Svetog Jeronima “Oprosti mi, Bože, jer sam Dalmatinac“ – završio je Giaconi.
