Hrvatski nogometni trener Željko Kopić (44), koji je prošle sezone vodio zagrebački Dinamo, novi je trener bugarskog prvoligaša Boteva iz Plovdiva.

Kopić je s Botevom potpisao ugovor na dvije godine, a na klupi će zamijeniti Artura Hovhanesjana koji je dobio otkaz nakon lošeg ulaska u sezonu. Botev je izgubio sve prve četiri utakmice u prvenstvu, a ispao je i u 2. pretkolu Konferencijske lige od ciparskog APOEL-a.

- Nakon razgovora s vlasnikom kluba i njegovim suradnicima, bilo mi je jasno da je u pitanju kvalitetan projekt, te sam odlučio prihvatiti izazov bez obzira na njegovu zahtjevnost i loš ulazak u prvenstvo. Čeka nas puno posla, ali ambicije su velike i svakako ću težiti tome da se ostvari napredak u kvaliteti igre i postignu čim bolji rezultati. Potencijala ima, a vjerujem da će uz rad i posvećenost on izaći na vidjelo - rekao je Kopić na predstavljanju.

Kopić je prošle sezone vodio Dinamo od prosinca, kada je zamijenio Damira Krznara, do travnja kada je on dobio otkaz te ga je zamijenio Ante Čačić.

Osim Dinama, Kopić je tijekom karijere vodio i splitski Hajduk na klupi kojega je bio od stufenoga 2017. do rujna 2018.

Hrvatski nogometni trener Željko Kopić (44), koji je prošle sezone vodio zagrebački Dinamo, novi je trener bugarskog prvoligaša Boteva iz Plovdiva.

Kopić je s Botevom potpisao ugovor na dvije godine, a na klupi će zamijeniti Artura Hovhanesjana koji je dobio otkaz nakon lošeg ulaska u sezonu. Botev je izgubio sve prve četiri utakmice u prvenstvu, a ispao je i u 2. pretkolu Konferencijske lige od ciparskog APOEL-a.

- Nakon razgovora s vlasnikom kluba i njegovim suradnicima, bilo mi je jasno da je u pitanju kvalitetan projekt, te sam odlučio prihvatiti izazov bez obzira na njegovu zahtjevnost i loš ulazak u prvenstvo. Čeka nas puno posla, ali ambicije su velike i svakako ću težiti tome da se ostvari napredak u kvaliteti igre i postignu čim bolji rezultati. Potencijala ima, a vjerujem da će uz rad i posvećenost on izaći na vidjelo - rekao je Kopić na predstavljanju.

Kopić je prošle sezone vodio Dinamo od prosinca, kada je zamijenio Damira Krznara, do travnja kada je on dobio otkaz te ga je zamijenio Ante Čačić.

Osim Dinama, Kopić je tijekom karijere vodio i splitski Hajduk na klupi kojega je bio od stufenoga 2017. do rujna 2018.

Hrvatski nogometni trener Željko Kopić (44), koji je prošle sezone vodio zagrebački Dinamo, novi je trener bugarskog prvoligaša Boteva iz Plovdiva.

Kopić je s Botevom potpisao ugovor na dvije godine, a na klupi će zamijeniti Artura Hovhanesjana koji je dobio otkaz nakon lošeg ulaska u sezonu. Botev je izgubio sve prve četiri utakmice u prvenstvu, a ispao je i u 2. pretkolu Konferencijske lige od ciparskog APOEL-a.

- Nakon razgovora s vlasnikom kluba i njegovim suradnicima, bilo mi je jasno da je u pitanju kvalitetan projekt, te sam odlučio prihvatiti izazov bez obzira na njegovu zahtjevnost i loš ulazak u prvenstvo. Čeka nas puno posla, ali ambicije su velike i svakako ću težiti tome da se ostvari napredak u kvaliteti igre i postignu čim bolji rezultati. Potencijala ima, a vjeru...
