Komentar igre hrvatske košarkaške reprezentacije dao nam je i legendarni Pino Gjergja:
Sasvim mi je žao što su mnogi zaboravili moje riječi prije tri mjesace kad sam na stranicima Slobodne Dalmacije kazao kako nam prema Statutu Hrvatskog košarkaškog saveza reprezentaciju vodi nestručna osoba.
Eto, poslali su ga izgleda na 'kurs' od sedam dana, zasjeo je po tko zna koji put na klupi i osramotio nas samo tako. Vjerujte, sjedio sam ispred TV ekrana i crvenio se od stida, jer ono kako je Aco Petrović posložio igru ne bi uradio nitko od košarkaških početnika. Ono što je sve Aco trubio uoči EP-a, u smislu pishofizičke spremnosti, stručnosti, kvalitete i čega sve ne, bilo je pravo bombardiranje javnosti koja sigurno nije ni svjesna naše bijede u ogledu s Rusima.
A on se stalno nametao kao spasitelj i ne samo ove godine, nego inače je takav njegov pristup. Najprije je košarkašku obitelj u Hrvatskoj uvjerio kako je odlazak u Rio preko Torina prava bajka, za mene i jest, jer se ranije neodlazak na Olimpijske igre ili Svjetsko prvenstvo držalo nemogućim ishodom. I onda su on i njemu slični kroz medije glorificirali taj rezultat, svojom slatkorječivošću uvjerio je sve oko sebe kako jurišamo na medalju. S čime? S igrom koju je bazirao na dvojici igrača. Ne može to tako dragi moj Aco!
K tomu, Ruse smo predstavili vanzemaljcima ne bismo li pokrili svoje nedostatke. Umjesto da se posvetimo tomu kako posložiti igru, njemu je važnije bilo uvjeravati javnost kako smo izvrsni, nikad bliže medalji. Uostalom, koga smo dobili u grupi, Mađarsku i Rumunjsku koje se ne sjećaju kad su bile na nekom velikom natjecanju, Crnu Goru koja je svoje umijeće pokazala protiv Latvije s minus trideset i porazili su nas Španjolci koji imaju smjenu generacije i nisu tako strašan 'vulkan'. Imamo momčad, ali je nema tko voditi, zato moraju svi, koji su na bilo koji način vezani uz stručni stožer, otići.
Aci mogu preporučiti jedan klub zove se 'Dinamit' iz Kazaginca, i on dobro zna o kojoj se destinaciji radi. I da zaključim, na EP- u smo izgledali kao trkači olovnih nogu, pa oni koji su u košarci godinama lako će kroz ove tri riječi locirati problem koji nije od jučer nego traje.

Komentar igre hrvatske košarkaške reprezentacije dao nam je i legendarni Pino Gjergja:
Sasvim mi je žao što su mnogi zaboravili moje riječi prije tri mjesace kad sam na stranicima Slobodne Dalmacije kazao kako nam prema Statutu Hrvatskog košarkaškog saveza reprezentaciju vodi nestručna osoba.
Eto, poslali su ga izgleda na 'kurs' od sedam dana, zasjeo je po tko zna koji put na klupi i osramotio nas samo tako. Vjerujte, sjedio sam ispred TV ekrana i crvenio se od stida, jer ono kako je Aco Petrović posložio igru ne bi uradio nitko od košarkaških početnika. Ono što je sve Aco trubio uoči EP-a, u smislu pishofizičke spremnosti, stručnosti, kvalitete i čega sve ne, bilo je pravo bombardiranje javnosti koja sigurno nije ni svjesna naše bijede u ogledu s Rusima.
A on se stalno nametao kao spasitelj i ne samo ove godine, nego inače je takav njegov pristup. Najprije je košarkašku obitelj u Hrvatskoj uvjerio kako je odlazak u Rio preko Torina prava bajka, za mene i jest, jer se ranije neodlazak na Olimpijske igre ili Svjetsko prvenstvo držalo nemogućim ishodom. I onda su on i njemu slični kroz medije glorificirali taj rezultat, svojom slatkorječivošću uvjerio je sve oko sebe kako jurišamo na medalju. S čime? S igrom koju je bazirao na dvojici igrača. Ne može to tako dragi moj Aco!
K tomu, Ruse smo predstavili vanzemaljcima ne bismo li pokrili svoje nedostatke. Umjesto da se posvetimo tomu kako posložiti igru, njemu je važnije bilo uvjeravati javnost kako smo izvrsni, nikad bliže medalji. Uostalom, koga smo dobili u grupi, Mađarsku i Rumunjsku koje se ne sjećaju kad su bile na nekom velikom natjecanju, Crnu Goru koja je svoje umijeće pokazala protiv Latvije s minus trideset i porazili su nas Španjolci koji imaju smjenu generacije i nisu tako strašan 'vulkan'. Imamo momčad, ali je nema tko voditi, zato moraju svi, koji su na bilo koji način vezani uz stručni stožer, otići.
Aci mogu preporučiti jedan klub zove se 'Dinamit' iz Kazaginca, i on dobro zna o kojoj se destinaciji radi. I da zaključim, na EP- u smo izgledali kao trkači olovnih nogu, pa oni koji su u košarci godinama lako će kroz ove tri riječi locirati problem koji nije od jučer nego traje.
