Legendarni jamajčanski sprinter Usain Bolt kazao je za australsku TV postaju da mu nije pružena "poštena šansa da se dokaže u australskoj A-ligi i postane profesionalni nogometaš".

Jamajčanin, osmostruki olimpijski prvak, pokušao je 2018. godine nakon što je odustao od atletike, započeti nogometnu karijeru s klubom Central Coast Marinersima nadajući se da će ispuniti svoj dječji san da postane nogometaš.

No, iako je Bolt postigao dva pogotka u predsezonskom prijateljskom susretu, pregovori o osiguranju ugovora za australsku momčad u konačnici nisu uspjeli.

"Mislim da nisam imao pravih i poštenih šansi. Nisam radio stvari onako kako sam htio da ih napravim, ali to je nešto za što mislim da bih bio dobar", rekao je Bolt za Channel Nine. 

Prije pokušaja s Marinersima, svjetski rekorder na 100 i 200 metara testirao se s klubovima u Njemačkoj, Južnoj Africi i Norveškoj. Unatoč svemu, 34-godišnji Bolt, koji je prošlog svibnja postao otac djevojčice, izjavljuje da ne žali zbog pokušaja. 

"Ponekad pomislim sebi da to nije ispalo onako kako sam htio, jer previše volim nogomet. I da, ponekad i dalje razmišljam o tome", zaključio je Bolt.

Legendarni jamajčanski sprinter Usain Bolt kazao je za australsku TV postaju da mu nije pružena "poštena šansa da se dokaže u australskoj A-ligi i postane profesionalni nogometaš".

Jamajčanin, osmostruki olimpijski prvak, pokušao je 2018. godine nakon što je odustao od atletike, započeti nogometnu karijeru s klubom Central Coast Marinersima nadajući se da će ispuniti svoj dječji san da postane nogometaš.

No, iako je Bolt postigao dva pogotka u predsezonskom prijateljskom susretu, pregovori o osiguranju ugovora za australsku momčad u konačnici nisu uspjeli.

"Mislim da nisam imao pravih i poštenih šansi. Nisam radio stvari onako kako sam htio da ih napravim, ali to je nešto za što mislim da bih bio dobar", rekao je Bolt za Channel Nine. 

Prije pokušaja s Marinersima, svjetski rekorder na 100 i 200 metara testirao se s klubovima u Njemačkoj, Južnoj Africi i Norveškoj. Unatoč svemu, 34-godišnji Bolt, koji je prošlog svibnja postao otac djevojčice, izjavljuje da ne žali zbog pokušaja. 

"Ponekad pomislim sebi da to nije ispalo onako kako sam htio, jer previše volim nogomet. I da, ponekad i dalje razmišljam o tome", zaključio je Bolt.

No, iako je Bolt postigao dva pogotka u predsezonskom prijateljskom susretu, pregovori o osiguranju ugovora za australsku momčad u konačnici nisu uspjeli.

"Mislim da nisam imao pravih i poštenih šansi. Nisam radio stvari onako kako sam htio da ih napravim, ali to je nešto za što mislim da bih bio dobar", rekao je Bolt za Channel Nine.
