I danas se u VIP salonu zagrebačke zračne luke „dr. Franjo Tuđman“ tražilo mjesto više da bi se čestitkama i iskrenim pljeskom moglo pozdraviti nove olimpijske pobjednike Martina i Valenta Sinkovića te njihovog karizmatičnog trenera Nikolu Bralića, ali i brončanog heroja Damira Martina i njegovog učitelja Srećka Šuka te olimpijsku judo reprezentaciju. 

Broj uzvanika iz svih sfera javnog života koji su došli zahvaliti našim sjajnim sportašima na fantastičnom predstavljanju Hrvatske na OI Tokio 2020., bio je impresivan. Bili su tu izaslanici Predsjednika Republike, Hrvatskog sabora, Predsjednika Vlade, Ministarstva turizma i sporta, Grada Zagreba na čelu s gradonačelnikom Tomislavom Tomaševićem. Zatim, predstavnici Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora, Hrvatskog veslačkog saveza i Hrvatskog judo saveza. Naravno, bile su tu obitelji i prijatelji, kolege veslači iz njihovih klubova, navijači koji su strpljivo čekali svojih pet minuta da ispred zagrebačke zračne luke pozdrave hrvatske sportske velikane. 

Braća Martin i Valent Sinković još jedanput su zadivili svijet svojim veslačkim umijećem. Nakon srebra u Londonu 2012. godine u četvercu na pariće, zlata u Rio de Janeiru 2016. godine u dvojcu na pariće, u Tokiju su osvojili zlato u dvojcu bez kormilara i ispisali još jednu veliku stranicu svjetske i hrvatske veslačke povijesti. Nikad nitko u povijesti nije osvojio zlato u oba dvojca na dva olimpijska natjecanja zaredom. Odnosno, u tri različite discipline, osvojili su tri olimpijske medalje, od ukupno šest veslačkih Hrvatske. “Kapa do poda!“  

U sve tri utrke na Sea Forest Waterway stazi u Tokiju, bili su suvereni pobjednici. Niti jednog trenutka, nisu dopustili da ih netko ozbiljnije ugrozi ili učini nervoznima. Veslali su savršeno, u ne baš jednostavnim uvjetima tokijske luke. Ali, braća su najbolja kada je najteže.

Martin i Valent Sinković:

„Ovo sve što smo prošli, normalan čovjek to ne bi radio. Ali, očito imamo to nešto u sebi. Očito imamo nešto u sebi tvrdoglavo i pozitivno pa idemo dalje. Jako smo ponosni, ovo je nešto posebno, što nikad se nismo usudili ni sanjati. Uvijek ima pritiska, treme, imali smo neke stvari za poboljšati tijekom prve, druge utrke, ali ništa strašno. Uvijek svi daju sve od sebe, tako i mi. Uspjeh se može dogoditi, ali 12 godina biti u vrhu, to samo stručnjak može, najveći stručnjak i bez Bralićevog znanja ne bi to mogli. I sad idemo dalje, idemo dalje raditi, uživati u ovome što radimo.“

I Damir Martin u samcu, napravio je čudesan podvig. Veslač koji je prije pet godina na Olimpijskim igrama u Rio de Janeiru ostao bez zlata za sedam tisućinki sekunde , koji je  prije dvije godine operirao kuk, i vodio veliku bitku sam sa sobom i vremenom da bi bio spreman za igre u Tokiju , osvojio je broncu.  Način na koji je to učinio ide u legendarne podvige , jer popularni Damšo je otprilike 700 metara prije cilja zaostajao više od dvije sekunde za trećeplasiranim. A onda je krenuo u luđački finiš i na kraju za  15 stotinki nadmašio   Danca Sverri Nielsena    te završio je na trećem mjestu. I njemu je to treća olimpijska medalja, jer je bio član srebrnog  četverca na pariće u Londonu 2012. godine , a ima i srebro u skifu iz Rio de Janeira.  Rezultati vrijedni divljenja i poštovanja. Damir Martin:

„Sanjao jesam tu olimpijsku medalju, ali iskoristio sam godinu dana, kako je bilo pomaknuto, da se spremim najbolje što mogu. Na zadnjih 600 metara utrke je zagrmjelo i znao sam da je to znak od gore i tad sam krenuo i lomio do kraja. Znao sam da do kraja tu brzinu nitko ne može izdržati. Izvukao sam sve što sam mogao izvući.“

Naša olimpijska judo reprezentacija nije uspjela doći do medalje. Ali i 5. mjesto  Barbare Matić, sjajan je doseg. Pariz je za samo tri godine i ne sumnjamo da će nas ona, ali i Karla Prodan i Ivana Maranić još puno puta razveseliti svojim nastupima i medaljama. Duboko vjerujemo i onim olimpijskog sjaja. I one su baš kao i veslači te svi treneri, dobile prigodni zlatnik Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora, koji će ih zauvijek podsjećati na tokijske dane.

I danas se u VIP salonu zagrebačke zračne luke „dr. Franjo Tuđman“ tražilo mjesto više da bi se čestitkama i iskrenim pljeskom moglo pozdraviti nove olimpijske pobjednike Martina i Valenta Sinkovića te njihovog karizmatičnog trenera Nikolu Bralića, ali i brončanog heroja Damira Martina i njegovog učitelja Srećka Šuka te olimpijsku judo reprezentaciju. 

Broj uzvanika iz svih sfera javnog života koji su došli zahvaliti našim sjajnim sportašima na fantastičnom predstavljanju Hrvatske na OI Tokio 2020., bio je impresivan. Bili su tu izaslanici Predsjednika Republike, Hrvatskog sabora, Predsjednika Vlade, Ministarstva turizma i sporta, Grada Zagreba na čelu s gradonačelnikom Tomislavom Tomaševićem. Zatim, predstavnici Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora, Hrvatskog veslačkog saveza i Hrvatskog judo saveza. Naravno, bile su tu obitelji i prijatelji, kolege veslači iz njihovih klubova, navijači koji su strpljivo čekali svojih pet minuta da ispred zagrebačke zračne luke pozdrave hrvatske sportske velikane. 

Braća Martin i Valent Sinković još jedanput su zadivili svijet svojim veslačkim umijećem. Nakon srebra u Londonu 2012. godine u četvercu na pariće, zlata u Rio de Janeiru 2016. godine u dvojcu na pariće, u Tokiju su osvojili zlato u dvojcu bez kormilara i ispisali još jednu veliku stranicu svjetske i hrvatske veslačke povijesti. Nikad nitko u povijesti nije osvojio zlato u oba dvojca na dva olimpijska natjecanja zaredom. Odnosno, u tri različite discipline, osvojili su tri olimpijske medalje, od ukupno šest veslačkih Hrvatske. “Kapa do poda!“  

U sve tri utrke na Sea Forest Waterway stazi u Tokiju, bili su suvereni pobjednici. Niti jednog trenutka, nisu dopustili da ih netko ozbiljnije ugrozi ili učini nervoznima. Veslali su savršeno, u ne baš jednostavnim uvjetima tokijske luke. Ali, braća su najbolja kada je najteže.

Martin i Valent Sinković:

„Ovo sve što smo prošli, normalan čovjek to ne bi radio. Ali, očito imamo to nešto u sebi. Očito imamo nešto u sebi tvrdoglavo i pozitivno pa idemo dalje. Jako smo ponosni, ovo je nešto posebno, što nikad se nismo usudili ni sanjati. Uvijek ima pritiska, treme, imali smo neke stvari za poboljšati tijekom prve, druge utrke, ali ništa strašno. Uvijek svi daju sve od sebe, tako i mi. Uspjeh se može dogoditi, ali 12 godina biti u vrhu, to samo stručnjak može, najveći stručnjak i bez Bralićevog znanja ne bi to mogli. I sad idemo dalje, idemo dalje raditi, uživati u ovome što radimo.“

I Damir Martin u samcu, napravio je čudesan podvig. Veslač koji je prije pet godina na Olimpijskim igrama u Rio de Janeiru ostao bez zlata za sedam tisućinki sekunde , koji je  prije dvije godine operirao kuk, i vodio veliku bitku sam sa sobom i vremenom da bi bio spreman za igre u Tokiju , osvojio je broncu.  Način na koji je to učinio ide u legendarne podvige , jer popularni Damšo je otprilike 700 metara prije cilja zaostajao više od dvije sekunde za trećeplasiranim. A onda je krenuo u luđački finiš i na kraju za  15 stotinki nadmašio   Danca Sverri Nielsena    te završio je na trećem mjestu. I njemu je to treća olimpijska medalja, jer je bio član srebrnog  četverca na pariće u Londonu 2012. godine , a ima i srebro u skifu iz Rio de Janeira.  Rezultati vrijedni divljenja i poštovanja. Bravo Damire.

Damir Martin:

„Sanjao jesam tu olimpijsku medalju, ali iskoristio sam godinu dana, kako je bilo pomaknuto, da se spremim najbolje što mogu. Na zadnjih 600 metara utrke je zagrmjelo i znao sam da je to znak od gore i tad sam krenuo i lomio do kraja. Znao sam da do kraja tu brzinu nitko ne može izdržati. Izvukao sam sve što sam mogao izvući.“

Naša olimpijska judo reprezentacija nije uspjela doći do medalje. Ali i 5. mjesto  Barbare Matić, sjajan je doseg. Pariz je za samo tri godine i ne sumnjamo da će nas ona, ali i Karla Prodan i Ivana Maranić još puno puta razveseliti svojim nastupima i medaljama. Duboko vjerujemo i onim olimpijskog sjaja. I one su baš kao i veslači te svi treneri, dobile prigodni zlatnik Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora, koji će ih zauvijek podsjećati na tokijske dane.

I danas se u VIP salonu zagrebačke zračne luke „dr. Franjo Tuđman“ tražilo mjesto više da bi se čestitkama i iskrenim pljeskom moglo pozdraviti nove olimpijske pobjednike Martina i Valenta Sinkovića te njihovog karizmatičnog trenera Nikolu Bralića, ali i brončanog heroja Damira Martina i njegovog učitelja Srećka Šuka te olimpijsku judo reprezentaciju. 

Broj uzvanika iz svih sfera javnog života koji su došli zahvaliti našim sjajnim sportašima na fantastičnom predstavljanju Hrvatske na OI Tokio 2020., bio je impresivan. Bili su tu izaslanici Predsjednika Republike, Hrvatskog sabora, Predsjednika Vlade, Ministarstva turizma i sporta, Grada Zagreba na čelu s gradonačelnikom Tomislavom Tomaševićem. Zatim, predstavnici Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora, Hrvatskog veslačkog saveza ...
