Na izvanrednoj skupštini Međunarodne automobilističke federacije (FIA) u Parizu većina delegata izglasala je povjerenje predsjedniku FIA-e Maxu Mosleyju. Na tajnom glasovanju za Mosleyjev ostanak na čelu FIA-e glasovala su 103 delegata, a protiv je bilo njih 55.

Zabilježeno je i sedam suzdržanih glasova, dok su četiri glasačka listića bila nevažeća.

Ovakav ishod glasovanja omogućuje Mosleyju da ostane na čelu FIA-e do isteka mandata, odnosno do 2009. godine. Mosley je predsjednik FIA-e od 1993.

Do glasovanja o povjerenju predsjedniku FIA-e došlo je zbog toga što je krajem ožujka otkriveno da je Mosley bio upleten u neugodan seksualni skandal. Jedan britanski list tada je objavio da je Max Mosley orgijao sa pet prostitutki te da su orgije bile obilježene nacističkom simbolikom, što je posebno neugodno za Maxa Mosleya, budući da je njegov otac Oswald Mosley bio osnivač Britanske fašističe unije, koja je u Britaniji uoči Drugog svjetskog rata širila antižidovsku propagandu.

Nakon toga mnogi ugledni ljudi iz moto-sporta, te iz britanskog javnog života pozvali su Mosleyja da podnese ostavku, što je on odbio učiniti te je sazvao izvanrednu skupštinu FIA-e.

Inače, Mosley nije negirao sudjelovanje u orgijama, ali je odbacio navode o nacističkoj simbolici u spomenutom seks-skandalu.

Na izvanrednoj skupštini Međunarodne automobilističke federacije (FIA) u Parizu većina delegata izglasala je povjerenje predsjedniku FIA-e Maxu Mosleyju. Na tajnom glasovanju za Mosleyjev ostanak na čelu FIA-e glasovala su 103 delegata, a protiv je bilo njih 55.

Zabilježeno je i sedam suzdržanih glasova, dok su četiri glasačka listića bila nevažeća.

Ovakav ishod glasovanja omogućuje Mosleyju da ostane na čelu FIA-e do isteka mandata, odnosno do 2009. godine. Mosley je predsjednik FIA-e od 1993.

Do glasovanja o povjerenju predsjedniku FIA-e došlo je zbog toga što je krajem ožujka otkriveno da je Mosley bio upleten u neugodan seksualni skandal. Jedan britanski list tada je objavio da je Max Mosley orgijao sa pet prostitutki te da su orgije bile obilježene nacističkom simbolikom, što je posebno neugodno za Maxa Mosleya, budući da je njegov otac Oswald Mosley bio osnivač Britanske fašističe unije, koja je u Britaniji uoči Drugog svjetskog rata širila antižidovsku propagandu.

Nakon toga mnogi ugledni ljudi iz moto-sporta, te iz britanskog javnog života pozvali su Mosleyja da podnese ostavku, što je on odbio učiniti te je sazvao izvanrednu skupštinu FIA-e.

Inače, Mosley nije negirao sudjelovanje u orgijama, ali je odbacio navode o nacističkoj simbolici u spomenutom seks-skandalu.
