Bio je srpanj 2013. godine, golobradog mladića iz Livna odveli smo na bacalište splitskog ASK-a, a predsjednik Ivan Veštić pripremio je nogometnu loptu i hrvatsku trobojnicu. ASK Split pisalo je, a u sredini - Fićo.
Filip Mihaljević baš se vratio iz talijanskog Rietija gdje je osvojio srebro na Europskom juniorskom prvenstvu, a presretni su pozirali Veštić i Fićo te tadašnji trener ASK-ovih bacača Ivica Jakeljić.
Žilav i krakat, Mihaljević je tada još bacao i disk, a kako je izgledao mogao se u svakom trenutku odlučiti i za recimo skok u dalj, da ne kažem u vis pa da me "pecne" Joško Vlašić.
- Da, sjećaš se Pero tog vremena, ti si jedan od rijetkih koji su uz mene od početka. Bacao sam još istovremeno i disk i kuglu. Ti znaš koliko je od tada prošlo vremena, koliko je trebalo truda i odricanja da dođem do ovoga - uzdahnuo je u Munchenu Mihaljević.
A "do ovoga" je do krova Europe. Do zlata na Europskom prvenstvu. Spektakl. Čudo, pršte naslovi. Ali zapravo je to sasvim normalno, prirodni slijed onoga što je Mihaljević počeo još davno.
Na toj je fotografiji ciljano nogometna lopta, jer je samo godinu ranije Fićo još trenirao u livanjskom Troglavu. Srećom za njega, a i svijet atletike, odlučio se za nešto manju i puno težu "loptu". Koja je u Munchenu doletjela do 21,88, zlatnih 21,88. Zlatni Fićo, eto ako imaju sluha i duha u Fiatu, znaju što im je raditi...
- U to sam vrijeme sanjao da barem jednom nastupim na nekom mitingu Dijamantne lige, a sada... Sada uopće niti ne moram gledati jesam li unutra. Ali nije to bio lagan put, bilo je tu svega...
Jesi li proslavio zlato istu večer?
- Onako, malo. Stigao sam u hotel tek u jedan sat ujutro. Trebali smo prvo odraditi medijske obveze, potom doping kontrolu, niz detalja... Oteglo se. Svratio sam i malo do strica koji živi tu stotinjak metara od stadiona i onda do hotela. Sad ćemo tek pošteno slaviti, ima vremena.
Na početku ljeta nisi briljirao? Jesi li i tada vjerovao da možeš ovako zablistati na velikoj sceni?
- Da, bio je to period u kojemu sam bacao nakon preboljene viroze i doista nisam bio u najboljoj formi. Nije taj period trajao dugo, ali se nadovezalo četiri mitinga u samo desetak dana. Nije to bio grozno, i s tim bih rezultatima ovdje bio u top 5, ali i sam sam bio nezadovoljan i tražio više. Resetirao sam se i ispalo je odlično. Na kraju, kad podvučem crtu pod sezonu, imam tri puta preko 21,80 u dvorani i tri puta preko 21,80 na otvorenome, europsko zlato, sezona iz snova.
Odmah nakon finala rekao si da ova medalja ide za devetomjesečnog sina kod kuće?
- Da, ne samo njega, nego i za suprugu Gabrijelu. Bez njene podrške doista ne bih mogao postići ovo sve.
Kako se očituje njezina podrška?
- Omogućila mi je da i dalje treniram maksimalno, preuzela je sve obveze što se tiče i kuće, kuhanja, sina Luke...
Luka? Ime je dobio po nekome, ili...?
- Ne, slučajni odabir.
Koliko ti uspiješ sudjelovati u tim obiteljsko - kućanskim poslovima?
- Pa iskreno, jako malo. Život profesionalnog atletičara je specifičan, to je i razlog zbog kojeg sam rekao da je ovo medalja za njih. Jer, vidi ovako, odem na pripreme dva tjedna pa se vratim kući. Ali ostanem dan - dva, pa odem opet u SAD dva tjedna... Pa opet isto, velika su to odricanja, puno odsustva od kuće. Tu je uloga moje supruge ogromna i hvala joj na tome.

- U stanu u Solinu.
Roditelji su vam u Livnu?
- Da, i njezini i moji.
Velika uloga je i trenera Marka Mastelića?
- Počeli smo raditi krajem 2019., sada već jako dobro funkcioniramo. Našli smo se i ta je suradnja dala ploda. Vjerujem da ima tu još prostora za napredak, nisam još rekao sve.
Ni ove sezone, imaš još izazova.
- Tako je, čekaju me još tri mitinga Dijamantne lige i želja mi je plasirati se u finale. Imam i nastup u Zagrebu, na Fontanama.
Eto prilike da te navijači dođu pozdraviti, nakloniti se, zapljeskati?
- Ma da, kugla na Fontanama postala je već brend sama za sebe. Sada ima i dodatnu čar, neka navijači dođu, i radi mene, ali i radi ostalih bacača. Bit će to spektakl.

Bio je srpanj 2013. godine, golobradog mladića iz Livna odveli smo na bacalište splitskog ASK-a, a predsjednik Ivan Veštić pripremio je nogometnu loptu i hrvatsku trobojnicu. ASK Split pisalo je, a u sredini - Fićo.
Filip Mihaljević baš se vratio iz talijanskog Rietija gdje je osvojio srebro na Europskom juniorskom prvenstvu, a presretni su pozirali Veštić i Fićo te tadašnji trener ASK-ovih bacača Ivica Jakeljić.
Žilav i krakat, Mihaljević je tada još bacao i disk, a kako je izgledao mogao se u svakom trenutku odlučiti i za recimo skok u dalj, da ne kažem u vis pa da me "pecne" Joško Vlašić.
- Da, sjećaš se Pero tog vremena, ti si jedan od rijetkih koji su uz mene od početka. Bacao sam još istovremeno i disk i kuglu. Ti znaš koliko je od tada prošlo vremena, koliko je trebalo truda i odricanja da dođem do ovoga - uzdahnuo je u Munchenu Mihaljević.
A "do ovoga" je do krova Europe. Do zlata na Europskom prvenstvu. Spektakl. Čudo, pršte naslovi. Ali zapravo je to sasvim normalno, prirodni slijed onoga što je Mihaljević počeo još davno.
Na toj je fotografiji ciljano nogometna lopta, jer je samo godinu ranije Fićo još trenirao u livanjskom Troglavu. Srećom za njega, a i svijet atletike, odlučio se za nešto manju i puno težu "loptu". Koja je u Munchenu doletjela do 21,88, zlatnih 21,88. Zlatni Fićo, eto ako imaju sluha i duha u Fiatu, znaju što im je raditi...
- U to sam vrijeme sanjao da barem jednom nastupim na nekom mitingu Dijamantne lige, a sada... Sada uopće niti ne moram gledati jesam li unutra. Ali nije to bio lagan put, bilo je tu svega...
Jesi li proslavio zlato istu večer?
- Onako, malo. Stigao sam u hotel tek u jedan sat ujutro. Trebali smo prvo odraditi medijske obveze, potom doping kontrolu, niz detalja... Oteglo se. Svratio sam i malo do strica koji živi tu stotinjak metara od stadiona i onda do hotela. Sad ćemo tek pošteno slaviti, ima vremena.
Na početku ljeta nisi briljirao? Jesi li i tada vjerovao da možeš ovako zablistati na velikoj sceni?
- Da, bio je to period u kojemu sam bacao nakon preboljene viroze i doista nisam bio u najboljoj formi. Nije taj period trajao dugo, ali se nadovezalo četiri mitinga u samo desetak dana. Nije to bio grozno, i s tim bih rezultatima ovdje bio u top 5, ali i sam sam bio nezadovoljan i tražio više. Resetirao sam se i ispalo je odlično. Na kraju, kad podvučem crtu pod sezonu, imam tri puta preko 21,80 u dvorani i tri puta preko 21,80 na otvorenome, europsko zlato, sezona iz snova.
Odmah nakon finala rekao si da ova medalja ide za devetomjesečnog sina kod kuće?
- Da, ne samo njega, nego i za suprugu Gabrijelu. Bez njene podrške doista ne bih mogao postići ovo sve.
Kako se očituje njezina podrška?
- Omogućila mi je da i dalje treniram maksimalno, preuzela je sve obveze što se tiče i kuće, kuhanja, sina Luke...
Luka? Ime je dobio po nekome, ili...?
- Ne, slučajni odabir.
Koliko ti uspiješ sudjelovati u tim obiteljsko - kućanskim poslovima?
- Pa iskreno, jako malo. Život profesionalnog atletičara je specifičan, to je i razlog zbog kojeg sam rekao da je ovo medalja za njih. Jer, vidi ovako, odem na pripreme dva tjedna pa se vratim kući. Ali ostanem dan - dva, pa odem opet u SAD dva tjedna... Pa opet isto, velika su to odricanja, puno odsustva od kuće. Tu je uloga moje supruge ogromna i hvala joj na tome.

- U stanu u Solinu.
Roditelji su vam u Livnu?
- Da, i njezini i moji.
Velika uloga je i trenera Marka Mastelića?
- Počeli smo raditi krajem 2019., sada već jako dobro funkcioniramo. Našli smo se i ta je suradnja dala ploda. Vjerujem da ima tu još prostora za napredak, nisam još rekao sve.
Ni ove sezone, imaš još izazova.
- Tako je, čekaju me još tri mitinga Dijamantne lige i želja mi je plasirati se u finale. Imam i nastup u Zagrebu, na Fontanama.
Eto prilike da te navijači dođu pozdraviti, nakloniti se, zapljeskati?
- Ma da, kugla na Fontanama postala je već brend sama za sebe. Sada ima i dodatnu čar, neka navijači dođu, i radi mene, ali i radi ostalih bacača. Bit će to spektakl.
