Alpska skijašica Leona Popović i skijaški trkač Marko Skender bit će nositelji hrvatske zastave na svečanosti otvaranja Zimskih olimpijskih igara (ZOI) u Pekingu 4. veljače 2022. godine. Tako je jednoglasno odlučilo Vijeće Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora (HOO) na 27. sjednici, održanoj elektroničkim načinom.

Vijeće je prihvatilo i prijedlog odluke o sastavu hrvatskog olimpijskog izaslanstva na ZOI-ju u Pekingu, a u njemu je ukupno 39 članova. Podsjetimo, Hrvatsku će na Igrama u Pekingu predstavljati 11 sportašica i sportaša: Zrinka Ljutić, Leona Popović i Andrea Komšić te Filip Zubčić, Matej Vidović i Samuel Kolega (svi alpsko skijanje); Vedrana Malec, Marko Skender i Tena Hadžić (skijaško trčanje); Valentina Aščić (brzo klizanje na kratkim stazama) i Lea Jugovac (snowboard).

Naša najbolja skijašica, 24-godišnja Leona Popović, kojoj je u prvom olimpijskom nastupu, u Pjongčangu 2018., veleslalomska ozljeda koljena oduzela mogućnost ostvarenja zapaženijeg rezultata, bez imperativa putuje na Igre, ali itekako svjesna velikog napretka između dva velika olimpijska događaja.

"Ne postavljam si velike ciljeve, nego idem, kao i uvijek - dati sve od sebe ",kratko je o ambicijama kazala Popović. 

Puno rječitija bila je na pitanje o statusu nositeljice zastave na otvaranju ZOI u Pekingu:

"Sretna sam što sam dobila priliku nositi hrvatsku zastavu na otvaranju Igara. Sjećam se te svečanosti  s prošlih Igara, bio je uistinu lijep doživljaj, a sada će sigurno biti još ljepši. Sviđa mi se odluka da sportaš i sportašica skupa nose zastavu, to mi je baš super…", dodala je.

Marko Skender (21) pamtit će pekinške Igre po debitantskom nastupu, ali i po statusu stjegonoše na svečanosti otvaranja.

"Nisam mogao vjerovati da ću biti izabran za stjegonošu, to je nešto što se događa u snovima. Još uvijek tražim riječi da bih opisao taj osjećaj i jedva čekam otvaranje Igara. Zbog ravnopravnosti spolova u sportu, odluka o muškom i ženskom nositelju zastave sjajna je stvar za olimpijske igre", rekao je Skender.

Alpska skijašica Leona Popović i skijaški trkač Marko Skender bit će nositelji hrvatske zastave na svečanosti otvaranja Zimskih olimpijskih igara (ZOI) u Pekingu 4. veljače 2022. godine. Tako je jednoglasno odlučilo Vijeće Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora (HOO) na 27. sjednici, održanoj elektroničkim načinom.

Vijeće je prihvatilo i prijedlog odluke o sastavu hrvatskog olimpijskog izaslanstva na ZOI-ju u Pekingu, a u njemu je ukupno 39 članova. Podsjetimo, Hrvatsku će na Igrama u Pekingu predstavljati 11 sportašica i sportaša: Zrinka Ljutić, Leona Popović i Andrea Komšić te Filip Zubčić, Matej Vidović i Samuel Kolega (svi alpsko skijanje); Vedrana Malec, Marko Skender i Tena Hadžić (skijaško trčanje); Valentina Aščić (brzo klizanje na kratkim stazama) i Lea Jugovac (snowboard).

Naša najbolja skijašica, 24-godišnja Leona Popović, kojoj je u prvom olimpijskom nastupu, u Pjongčangu 2018., veleslalomska ozljeda koljena oduzela mogućnost ostvarenja zapaženijeg rezultata, bez imperativa putuje na Igre, ali itekako svjesna velikog napretka između dva velika olimpijska događaja.

"Ne postavljam si velike ciljeve, nego idem, kao i uvijek - dati sve od sebe ",kratko je o ambicijama kazala Popović. 

Puno rječitija bila je na pitanje o statusu nositeljice zastave na otvaranju ZOI u Pekingu:

"Sretna sam što sam dobila priliku nositi hrvatsku zastavu na otvaranju Igara. Sjećam se te svečanosti  s prošlih Igara, bio je uistinu lijep doživljaj, a sada će sigurno biti još ljepši. Sviđa mi se odluka da sportaš i sportašica skupa nose zastavu, to mi je baš super…", dodala je.

Marko Skender (21) pamtit će pekinške Igre po debitantskom nastupu, ali i po statusu stjegonoše na svečanosti otvaranja.

"Nisam mogao vjerovati da ću biti izabran za stjegonošu, to je nešto što se događa u snovima. Još uvijek tražim riječi da bih opisao taj osjećaj i jedva čekam otvaranje Igara. Zbog ravnopravnosti spolova u sportu, odluka o muškom i ženskom nositelju zastave sjajna je stvar za olimpijske igre", rekao je Skender.

Leona Popović i Marko Skender nosit će hrvatsku zastavu na svečanosti otvaranja Zimskih olimpijskih igara

Alpska skijašica Leona Popović i skijaški trkač Marko Skender bit će nositelji hrvatske zastave na svečanosti otvaranja Zimskih olimpijskih igara (ZOI) u Pekingu 4. veljače 2022. godine. Tako je jednoglasno odlučilo Vijeće Hrvatskog olimpijskog odbora (HOO) na 27. sjednici, održanoj elektroničkim načinom.

Vijeće je prihvatilo i prijedlog odluke o sastavu hrvatskog olimpijskog izaslanstva na ZOI-ju u Pekingu, a u njemu je ukupno 39 članova. Podsjetimo, Hrvatsku će na Igrama u Pekingu predstavljati 11 sportašica i sportaša: Zrinka Ljutić, Leona Popović i Andrea Komšić te Filip Zubčić, Matej Vidović i Samuel Kolega (svi alpsko skijanje); Vedrana Malec, Marko Skender i Tena Hadžić (skijaško trčanje); Valentina Aščić (brzo klizanje na kratkim stazama) i Lea Jugovac (snowboard)....
