Nekadašnji prvi izbor NHL "drafta" i jedan od najboljih strijelaca današnjice, kanadski hokejaš Rick Nash odlučio je okončati karijeru u dobi od 34 godine jer se nije uspio oporaviti od potresa mozga kojega je zadobio u ožujku prošle godine.

"Zbog neriješenih problema nakon potresa mozga zadobivenog u ožujku prošle godine, Rick Nash je prisiljen završiti igračku karijeru. Rizik od novih ozljeda mozga je prevelik kako bi mu omogućio povratak na ledu", objavio je Nashov menadžer Joe Resnick.

Tijekom 16-godišnje igračke karijere, Nash je postigao 437 pogodaka uz 368 asistencija u 1060 odigranih utakmica u najjačoj hokejaškoj ligi na svijetu.

Nasha su na "draftu" 2002. godine kao prvoga izabrali Columbus Blue Jacketsi za koje je igrao do 2012. kada je prešao u New York Rangerse da bi posljednjih 11 utakmica u karijeri prošlog proljeća odigrao u dresu Boston Bruinsa.

S Kanadom je Nash osvojio dva naslova olimpijskog pobjednika, 2010. u Vancouveru i 2014. u Sočiju.

Nekadašnji prvi izbor NHL "drafta" i jedan od najboljih strijelaca današnjice, kanadski hokejaš Rick Nash odlučio je okončati karijeru u dobi od 34 godine jer se nije uspio oporaviti od potresa mozga kojega je zadobio u ožujku prošle godine.

"Zbog neriješenih problema nakon potresa mozga zadobivenog u ožujku prošle godine, Rick Nash je prisiljen završiti igračku karijeru. Rizik od novih ozljeda mozga je prevelik kako bi mu omogućio povratak na ledu", objavio je Nashov menadžer Joe Resnick.

Tijekom 16-godišnje igračke karijere, Nash je postigao 437 pogodaka uz 368 asistencija u 1060 odigranih utakmica u najjačoj hokejaškoj ligi na svijetu.

Nasha su na "draftu" 2002. godine kao prvoga izabrali Columbus Blue Jacketsi za koje je igrao do 2012. kada je prešao u New York Rangerse da bi posljednjih 11 utakmica u karijeri prošlog proljeća odigrao u dresu Boston Bruinsa.

S Kanadom je Nash osvojio dva naslova olimpijskog pobjednika, 2010. u Vancouveru i 2014. u Sočiju.
