Sara Kolak ušla je u finale Svjetskog atletskog prvenstva u disciplini bacanja koplja, iako je njen hitac od 60.99 bio daleko od postavljene norme.

Olimpijska pobjednica provukla se kroz ‘iglene ušice’ te će se večeras boriti za svjetsku medalju. I dok s jedne strane može biti sretna raspletom situacije, s druge strane bi trebala biti zabrinuta jer ni u jednom od tri bacanja koplja nije ostvarila očekivani rezultat.

U povratku od operacije Sara je oduševila na nedavnom nastupu IAAF Svjetskog mitinga u Zagrebu. Od tri hica dva su išla preko 65 metara, a rezultatom 66,42 srušila je rekord mitinga. Bio je to čak i hitac kojim je nadmašila rezultat iz Rio de Janeira 2016. godine kad je osvojila olimpijsku medalju. No, sada je to bilo puno lošije izdanje. 

Bilo je to čudno popodne na stadionu Khalifa.  U svih 48 bacanja prve skupine nitko nije prešao normu od 63.5 metara, a postavljena je na temelju dosadašnjih rezultata bacačica. Najbliža u toj prvoj skupini bila je kineskinja Liu Shiying koja je bacila 62,48 metara.

Upravo je u toj skupini bila naša Sara Kolak. Prvim hicem od 60,03 smjestila se na četvrtoj poziciji, ali je do sljedećeg bacanja pala na čak deveto mjesto. Drugi hitac bio je daleko od očekivanog, pogrešnim zamahom nije prešla ni 55 metara pa je Sara napravila prijestup. 

Kako su ostale bacačice koplja poboljšavale svoj rezultat, Sari je u posljednjoj seriji bio potreban hitac kojim bi osigurala prolazak dalje. Međutim, on se nije dogodio. Kolak je bacila 60,99 čime je došla na šesto mjesto pa je strepila do kraja cijele kvalifikacijske runde.

U drugoj kvalifikacijskoj grupi dvije bacačice su prebacile zadanu normu. Bile su to kineskinja Lu Huihui (67,27), brončana i srebrna s posljednja dva svjetska prvenstva te europska prvakinja Christin Hussong (65,29). Legendarna Barbora Špotakova bacila je ‘samo’ 62,15, dok se srebrna s olimpijskih igara Sunette Viljoen nije uspjela probiti među najboljih dvanaest (60,10). 

Tako je Sara ostvarilo jedanaesto mjesto, a posljednji ‘vlak’ za finale uhvatila je Irena Šediva koja je sa 60.90 bila dvanaesta. Vrijedi istaknuti i iznenađenje ovogodišnjih kvalifikacija koje je priredila Indijka Annu Rani. Ona je s hicem od 62.87 metara postavila osobni rekord i tako ušla u svoje prvo finale Svjetskog prvenstva. 

Finale je na rasporedu večeras s početkom u 20.20 sati, a Sara će pokušati nadmašiti četvrto mjesto s posljednje svjetske smotre i uzeti prvu medalju s tog natjecanja. Za to će, definitivno, trebati bacati puno bolje.

Sara Kolak ušla je u finale Svjetskog atletskog prvenstva u disciplini bacanja koplja, iako je njen hitac od 60.99 bio daleko od postavljene norme.

Olimpijska pobjednica provukla se kroz ‘iglene ušice’ te će se večeras boriti za svjetsku medalju. I dok s jedne strane može biti sretna raspletom situacije, s druge strane bi trebala biti zabrinuta jer ni u jednom od tri bacanja koplja nije ostvarila očekivani rezultat.

U povratku od operacije Sara je oduševila na nedavnom nastupu IAAF Svjetskog mitinga u Zagrebu. Od tri hica dva su išla preko 65 metara, a rezultatom 66,42 srušila je rekord mitinga. Bio je to čak i hitac kojim je nadmašila rezultat iz Rio de Janeira 2016. godine kad je osvojila olimpijsku medalju. No, sada je to bilo puno lošije izdanje. 

Bilo je to čudno popodne na stadionu Khalifa.  U svih 48 bacanja prve skupine nitko nije prešao normu od 63.5 metara, a postavljena je na temelju dosadašnjih rezultata bacačica. Najbliža u toj prvoj skupini bila je kineskinja Liu Shiying koja je bacila 62,48 metara.

Upravo je u toj skupini bila naša Sara Kolak. Prvim hicem od 60,03 smjestila se na četvrtoj poziciji, ali je do sljedećeg bacanja pala na čak deveto mjesto. Drugi hitac bio je daleko od očekivanog, pogrešnim zamahom nije prešla ni 55 metara pa je Sara napravila prijestup. 

Kako su ostale bacačice koplja poboljšavale svoj rezultat, Sari je u posljednjoj seriji bio potreban hitac kojim bi osigurala prolazak dalje. Međutim, on se nije dogodio. Kolak je bacila 60,99 čime je došla na šesto mjesto pa je strepila do kraja cijele kvalifikacijske runde.

U drugoj kvalifikacijskoj grupi dvije bacačice su prebacile zadanu normu. Bile su to kineskinja Lu Huihui (67,27), brončana i srebrna s posljednja dva svjetska prvenstva te europska prvakinja Christin Hussong (65,29). Legendarna Barbora Špotakova bacila je ‘samo’ 62,15, dok se srebrna s olimpijskih igara Sunette Viljoen nije uspjela probiti među najboljih dvanaest (60,10). 

Tako je Sara ostvarilo jedanaesto mjesto, a posljednji ‘vlak’ za finale uhvatila je Irena Šediva koja je sa 60.90 bila dvanaesta. Vrijedi istaknuti i iznenađenje ovogodišnjih kvalifikacija koje je priredila Indijka Annu Rani. Ona je s hicem od 62.87 metara postavila osobni rekord i tako ušla u svoje prvo finale Svjetskog prvenstva. 

Finale je na rasporedu večeras s početkom u 20.20 sati, a Sara će pokušati nadmašiti četvrto mjesto s posljednje svjetske smotre i uzeti prvu medalju s tog natjecanja. Za to će, definitivno, trebati bacati puno bolje.
