Šesnaesta, "kraljevska" etapa ovogodišnje biciklističke utrke "Giro d'Italia" zbog sigurnosnih je razloga morala biti skraćena sa 226 na 194 kilometara, a s rute je izbačen uspon na Gaviju, koja je sa 2621 metara nadmorske visine trebala biti najviša točka ovogodišnje utrke.

Organizatori su objavili kako je opasnost od lavina prevelika kako bi odveli vozače preko Gavije.

Još prošloga tjedna na tom je prijevoju padao snijeg, pa iako je on očišćen s kolnika, nanosi uz samu cestu visoki su i preko četiri metra.

Umjesto Gavije, vozači će pred sobom imati uspone na Cevo i Apricu uz originalno planirane Presolanu (1297m) i strmi Mortirolo (1854m), koji se nalazi 27.5km udaljen od cilja u Ponte di Legnu.

Šesnaesta, "kraljevska" etapa ovogodišnje biciklističke utrke "Giro d'Italia" zbog sigurnosnih je razloga morala biti skraćena sa 226 na 194 kilometara, a s rute je izbačen uspon na Gaviju, koja je sa 2621 metara nadmorske visine trebala biti najviša točka ovogodišnje utrke.

Organizatori su objavili kako je opasnost od lavina prevelika kako bi odveli vozače preko Gavije.

Još prošloga tjedna na tom je prijevoju padao snijeg, pa iako je on očišćen s kolnika, nanosi uz samu cestu visoki su i preko četiri metra.

Umjesto Gavije, vozači će pred sobom imati uspone na Cevo i Apricu uz originalno planirane Presolanu (1297m) i strmi Mortirolo (1854m), koji se nalazi 27.5km udaljen od cilja u Ponte di Legnu.
