Ovog ljeta ne prestaju stizati sjajne sportske vijesti iz Tokija! 

Novu medalju za Hrvatsku na Paraolimpijskim igrama osigurala je Splićanka Anđela Mužinić u paru s Helenom Dretar Karić osvojivši broncu u ekipnoj konkurenciji parastolnotenisačica.

U finale se nažalost nisu uspjele plasirati. Bolje su bile predstavnice Južne Koreje s ukupnih 2-0. Hrvatsko-korejski okršaj već smo gledali prije pet godina u Rio de Janeiru kada su naše slavile. Ovog puta Mi Gyu Lee i Jiyu Yoon su prvo pobijedile u parovima, a nakon toga je Yoon nadvisila Mužinić s 3-0 (11-7, 11-9, 11-4). Meč Dretar Karić i Lee nije bilo ni potrebno održati jer su Korejanke već osigurale pobjedu.

- Dugo smo europske prvakinje, ali možemo se nositi i s azijskim igračicama bez obzira na ovaj poraz – rekle su nakon polufinala.

Furiozno su otvorile prvi meč i povele s 2-0. Naše su zatim smanjile na 2-1, no za preokret poput onoga na prošlim Paraolimpijskim igrama nisu imale snage.

Međutim, samim ulaskom u polufinale Hrvatice su osigurale broncu. Druga je to medalja za „Lijepu Našu“  nakon srebrne Velimira Šandora u bacanju diska. Također drugo, paraolimpijsko odličje ovo je za hrvatski par nakon srebra iz Rija. Bila je ovo ukupno 21. hrvatska medalja u povijesti Paraolimpijskih igara.

- Presretni smo zbog osvojene medalje, ali ostaje i gorčina jer igrom i taktikom možemo parirati Korejankama – kazala je trenerica Mirela Šikoronja Ivančin.

Mužinić i Dretar Karić tako su svojoj ionako već prebogatoj riznici medalja pridodale još jednu. Blistavi niz krenuo je u Splitu 2011. gdje su osvojile ekipnu broncu. Čak četiri puta bile su najbolje na Europskom prvenstvu. Zlato im je pripalo 2013., 2015., 2017. i 2019. godine. Na svjetskim smotrama osvojile su srebro 2017. i bronca 2014.

Što se pojedinačne konkurencije tiče Anđela ima dvije srebrne (2015. i 2017.) te jednu brončanu medalju (2019.). Helena je Europskom prvenstvu 2017. uzela broncu.

Nevjerojatne su životne priče obje naše parastolnotenisačice. Mužinić je do svoje 13. godine trenirala odbojku, no 2006. je teško stradala u prometnoj nesreći i od tada je u kolicima. Dretar Karić se, s druge strane, aktivno bavila rukometom sve dok sa 17 godina nije doživjela nesreću kao pješak.

Umjesto odustajanja, hrvatske paraolimpijke odlučile su se za parastolni tenis i nisu pogriješile. Anđela se dugo premišljala želi li se zaista baviti novim sportom, no na kraju je popustila. Srećom da je bilo tako jer Paraigre u Tokiju su joj već treće na kojima je predstavljala Hrvatsku.

Ovog ljeta ne prestaju stizati sjajne sportske vijesti iz Tokija! 

Novu medalju za Hrvatsku na Paraolimpijskim igrama osigurala je Splićanka Anđela Mužinić u paru s Helenom Dretar Karić osvojivši broncu u ekipnoj konkurenciji parastolnotenisačica.

U finale se nažalost nisu uspjele plasirati. Bolje su bile predstavnice Južne Koreje s ukupnih 2-0. Hrvatsko-korejski okršaj već smo gledali prije pet godina u Rio de Janeiru kada su naše slavile. Ovog puta Mi Gyu Lee i Jiyu Yoon su prvo pobijedile u parovima, a nakon toga je Yoon nadvisila Mužinić s 3-0 (11-7, 11-9, 11-4). Meč Dretar Karić i Lee nije bilo ni potrebno održati jer su Korejanke već osigurale pobjedu.

- Dugo smo europske prvakinje, ali možemo se nositi i s azijskim igračicama bez obzira na ovaj poraz – rekle su nakon polufinala.

Furiozno su otvorile prvi meč i povele s 2-0. Naše su zatim smanjile na 2-1, no za preokret poput onoga na prošlim Paraolimpijskim igrama nisu imale snage.

Međutim, samim ulaskom u polufinale Hrvatice su osigurale broncu. Druga je to medalja za „Lijepu Našu“  nakon srebrne Velimira Šandora u bacanju diska. Također drugo, paraolimpijsko odličje ovo je za hrvatski par nakon srebra iz Rija. Bila je ovo ukupno 21. hrvatska medalja u povijesti Paraolimpijskih igara.

- Presretni smo zbog osvojene medalje, ali ostaje i gorčina jer igrom i taktikom možemo parirati Korejankama – kazala je trenerica Mirela Šikoronja Ivančin.

Mužinić i Dretar Karić tako su svojoj ionako već prebogatoj riznici medalja pridodale još jednu. Blistavi niz krenuo je u Splitu 2011. gdje su osvojile ekipnu broncu. Čak četiri puta bile su najbolje na Europskom prvenstvu. Zlato im je pripalo 2013., 2015., 2017. i 2019. godine. Na svjetskim smotrama osvojile su srebro 2017. i bronca 2014.

Što se pojedinačne konkurencije tiče Anđela ima dvije srebrne (2015. i 2017.) te jednu brončanu medalju (2019.). Helena je Europskom prvenstvu 2017. uzela broncu.

Nevjerojatne su životne priče obje naše parastolnotenisačice. Mužinić je do svoje 13. godine trenirala odbojku, no 2006. je teško stradala u prometnoj nesreći i od tada je u kolicima. Dretar Karić se, s druge strane, aktivno bavila rukometom sve dok sa 17 godina nije doživjela nesreću kao pješak.

Umjesto odustajanja, hrvatske paraolimpijke odlučile su se za parastolni tenis i nisu pogriješile. Anđela se dugo premišljala želi li se zaista baviti novim sportom, no na kraju je popustila. Srećom da je bilo tako jer Paraigre u Tokiju su joj već treće na kojima je predstavljala Hrvatsku.

Životne tragedije su ih odvojile od odbojke i rukometa, a dobitnu kombinaciju pronašle su u stolnom tenisu

Ovog ljeta ne prestaju stizati sjajne sportske vijesti iz Tokija! 

Novu medalju za Hrvatsku na Paraolimpijskim igrama osigurala je Splićanka Anđela Mužinić u paru s Helenom Dretar Karić osvojivši broncu u ekipnoj konkurenciji parastolnotenisačica.

U finale se nažalost nisu uspjele plasirati. Bolje su bile predstavnice Južne Koreje s ukupnih 2-0. Hrvatsko-korejski okršaj već smo gledali prije pet godina u Rio de Janeiru kada su naše slavile. Ovog puta Mi Gyu Lee i Jiyu Yoon su prvo pobijedile u parovima, a nakon toga je Yoon nadvisila Mužinić s 3-0 (11-7, 11-9, 11-4). Meč Dretar Karić i Lee nije bilo ni potrebno održati jer su Korejanke već osigurale pobjedu.
