Hrvatski jedriličari Zvonko Jelačić i Ante Kovačević osvojili su prvo i drugo mjesto na Europskom prvenstvu u klasi International One Metre (IOM) ili skraćeno "jedan metar" koje je nakon 23 plova i šest dana natjecanja završeno u petak u Rogoznici.

Dvostrukom pobjedom hrvatskih jedriličara završeno je Europsko prvenstvo u klasi International One Metre (IOM) u kojoj se u proteklih šest dana nadmetalo 76 natjecatelja iz Europe, ali i iz Japana, Tajlanda i SAD. 

Tek u posljednjem plovu inženjer brodogradnje iz Splita Zvonko Jelačić uspio je sa svojim modelom jednometarske jedrilice preteći svog klupskog kolegu iz jedriličarskog kluba Zenta Antu Kovačevića i dvjema titulama svjetskog prvaka pridodao i titulu najboljeg  na "Starom kontinentu". Brončano odličje pripalo je Robu Walshu iz Velike Britanije. 

Odlične plasmane ostvarili su i ostali hrvatski jedriličari jer je Marko Matić bio peti, Boris Bakotić šesti, a Robert Matulja osmi. 

- Od devet naših predstavnika čak petorica su uspjeli izboriti plasman među prvih deset. Zapravo najlošiji plasman sam ostvario ja osvajanjem 38. mjesta, ali sam presretan jer smo na ovom prvenstvu još jednom potvrdili da Hrvatska predstavlja svjetski vrh u ovoj jedriličarskoj kategoriji - izjavio je Hrvoje Duvančić iz Jk Val, jedan od organizatora prvenstva.

Upravo je šibenski klub Val, uz Općinu i Turističku zajednicu Rogoznice, te glavnog sponzora Marinu Frapa, dobio najviše komplimenata za besprijekornu organizaciju Europskog prvenstva u klasi International IOM koje se odvijalo u gotovo idealnim uvjetima juga koji je po danima varirao od laganog od vrlo jakog.

Hrvatski jedriličari Zvonko Jelačić i Ante Kovačević osvojili su prvo i drugo mjesto na Europskom prvenstvu u klasi International One Metre (IOM) ili skraćeno "jedan metar" koje je nakon 23 plova i šest dana natjecanja završeno u petak u Rogoznici.

Dvostrukom pobjedom hrvatskih jedriličara završeno je Europsko prvenstvo u klasi International One Metre (IOM) u kojoj se u proteklih šest dana nadmetalo 76 natjecatelja iz Europe, ali i iz Japana, Tajlanda i SAD. 

Tek u posljednjem plovu inženjer brodogradnje iz Splita Zvonko Jelačić uspio je sa svojim modelom jednometarske jedrilice preteći svog klupskog kolegu iz jedriličarskog kluba Zenta Antu Kovačevića i dvjema titulama svjetskog prvaka pridodao i titulu najboljeg  na "Starom kontinentu". Brončano odličje pripalo je Robu Walshu iz Velike Britanije. 

Odlične plasmane ostvarili su i ostali hrvatski jedriličari jer je Marko Matić bio peti, Boris Bakotić šesti, a Robert Matulja osmi. 

- Od devet naših predstavnika čak petorica su uspjeli izboriti plasman među prvih deset. Zapravo najlošiji plasman sam ostvario ja osvajanjem 38. mjesta, ali sam presretan jer smo na ovom prvenstvu još jednom potvrdili da Hrvatska predstavlja svjetski vrh u ovoj jedriličarskoj kategoriji - izjavio je Hrvoje Duvančić iz Jk Val, jedan od organizatora prvenstva.

Upravo je šibenski klub Val, uz Općinu i Turističku zajednicu Rogoznice, te glavnog sponzora Marinu Frapa, dobio najviše komplimenata za besprijekornu organizaciju Europskog prvenstva u klasi International IOM koje se odvijalo u gotovo idealnim uvjetima juga koji je po danima varirao od laganog od vrlo jakog.
