Legenda hrvatskog rukometa i trener Podravka Vegete Zlatan "Zlatko" Saračević (59) umro je u bolnici u Koprivnici nakon što mu je pozlilo poslije utakmice protiv Lokomotive.

Jedan od najboljih hrvatskih rukometaša svih vremena i ugledni rukometni trener umro je nakon što je njegova ekipa u derbiju hrvatskog prvenstva u Koprivnici pobijedila Lokomotivu sa 32-29 i napravila veliki korak prema novom naslovu prvakinja.

Saračević se radovao pobjedi svojih igračica, no nakon utakmice mu je pozlilo nakon čega je hitno prevezen u koprivničku bolnicu. Kako prenosi Podravski list, Saračević je nakon utakmice vozio kući trenericu vratarki Barbaru Stančin. Na semaforu mu je pozlilo te je Barbara odmah pozvala Hitnu pomoć.

Nažalost, liječnici ga nisu uspjeli spasiti i Saračević je preminuo nakon što nije uspio pokušaj oživljavanja. 

"Jako je teško kad odlaze veliki sportaši i ljudi, a naš Zlatko bio je upravo takav... Hvala Sarač, hvala na svemu," objavio je Hrvatski rukometni savez.

"Teška smo srca primili vijest o smrti našeg bivšeg igrača. Izražavamo iskrenu sućut njegovoj obitelji i najmilijima! Počivaj u miru Zlatko," poručili su iz njegovog bivšeg kluba Veszprema.

Vijest o Saraćevoj smrti objavio je i francuski L'Equipe.

"Bio je legendarni igrač prije nego što je postao priznati trener," prenosi francuski list navodeći kako je Saračević u Francuskoj proveo sedam godina.

"Zbogom veliki prijatelju i gromado od čovjeka," napisao je nekadašnji rukometni reprezentativac i trener vratara Mario Kelentrić.

Saračević je bio legendarni desni vanjski, a karijeru je počeo u Borcu iz Banja Luke. U Borcu je proveo deset godina osvojivši naslov prvaka bivše države i kup. Iz Banja Luke je 1987. preselio u zagrebački Medveščak gdje je proveo tri godine osvojivši dva Kupa Jugoslavije (1989, 1990).

Nakon Medveščaka igrao je u Nimesu, Bordeauxu, Istresu i Creteilu. U Francusko je osvojio dvije titule prvaka s Nimesom, a zatim se 1997. vratio u Hrvatsku u redove Zagreba. Tri sezone je proveo u redovima hrvatskog prvaka, a zadnje dvije stanice njegove igrače karijere bile su Veszprem i Zamet gdje je završio igračku karijeru i počeo raditi kao trener.

Sa Zagrebom je bio dvostruki europski prvak (1992, 1993), dok je s Veszpremom bio europski doprvak 2002.

Saračević je u dresu Jugoslavije osvojio dvije velike medalje - zlatnu medalju na Svjetskom pvenstvu u Švicarskoj 1986. i brončanu medalju na Olimpijskim igrama u Seulu dvije godine kasnije.

Vrhunac karijere doživio je u dresu hrvatske vrste osvojivši zlato na OI u Atlanti 1996. godine. U Atlanti je bio cimer sa Iztokom Pucom, koji nas je prerano napustio u listopad 2011. 

S Hrvatskom je bio i svjetski doprvak sa SP-a na Islandu 1995., osvajač brončane medalje na Europskom prvenstvu u Portugalu 1994. i zlata na Mediteranskim igrama 1993. u Languedoc-Roussillonu.

Kao član hrvatske reprezentacije 1996. godine dobitnik je Državne nagrade za šport "Franjo Bučar".

Trenersku karijeru je započeo na klupi Zameta, a vodio je i Nyíregyhazi, Čelik, Dubrovnik, PPD Zagreb, te Podravka Vegetu. U Koprivnicu je stigao je 2018. godine, a klupu Podravke je trebao napustiti na koncu ove sezoe kada ga je trebao zamijeniti Neven Hrupec.

Zanimljivo, njegov otac Hamdija bio je nekadašnji rukometaš banjalučkog Borca i reprezentacije Jugoslavije Hamdija Saračević, dok mu je stric Zlatan Saračević bio bacač kugle koji je 1980. godine osvojio zlato na europskom dvoranskom prvenstvu, a nakon toga i brončanu medalju.

Zlatkov stric Zlatan sudjelovao je i na Olimpijskim igrama u Barceloni 1992. godine kao član reprezentacije nezavisnih olimpijskih natjecatelja u kojoj su sudjelovali sportaši iz Jugoslavije u pojedinačnim disciplinama.

Zlatko se 2014. godine oženio Kornelijom Hrgotom u crkvi Svetog Križa u Zagrebu, a kum na vjenčanju bio mu je Božidar Jović, suigrač iz reprezentacije s kojim je osvojio olimpijsko zlato.

Legenda hrvatskog rukometa i trener Podravka Vegete Zlatan "Zlatko" Saračević (59) umro je u bolnici u Koprivnici nakon što mu je pozlilo poslije utakmice protiv Lokomotive.

Jedan od najboljih hrvatskih rukometaša svih vremena i ugledni rukometni trener umro je nakon što je njegova ekipa u derbiju hrvatskog prvenstva u Koprivnici pobijedila Lokomotivu sa 32-29 i napravila veliki korak prema novom naslovu prvakinja.

Saračević se radovao pobjedi svojih igračica, no nakon utakmice mu je pozlilo nakon čega je hitno prevezen u koprivničku bolnicu. Kako prenosi Podravski list, Saračević je nakon utakmice vozio kući trenericu vratarki Barbaru Stančin. Na semaforu mu je pozlilo te je Barbara odmah pozvala Hitnu pomoć.

Nažalost, liječnici ga nisu uspjeli spasiti i Saračević je preminuo nakon što nije uspio pokušaj oživljavanja. 

"Jako je teško kad odlaze veliki sportaši i ljudi, a naš Zlatko bio je upravo takav... Hvala Sarač, hvala na svemu," objavio je Hrvatski rukometni savez.

"Teška smo srca primili vijest o smrti našeg bivšeg igrača. Izražavamo iskrenu sućut njegovoj obitelji i najmilijima! Počivaj u miru Zlatko," poručili su iz njegovog bivšeg kluba Veszprema.

Vijest o Saraćevoj smrti objavio je i francuski L'Equipe.

"Bio je legendarni igrač prije nego što je postao priznati trener," prenosi francuski list navodeći kako je Saračević u Francuskoj proveo sedam godina.

"Zbogom veliki prijatelju i gromado od čovjeka," napisao je nekadašnji rukometni reprezentativac i trener vratara Mario Kelentrić.

Saračević je bio legendarni desni vanjski, a karijeru je počeo u Borcu iz Banja Luke. U Borcu je proveo deset godina osvojivši naslov prvaka bivše države i kup. Iz Banja Luke je 1987. preselio u zagrebački Medveščak gdje je proveo tri godine osvojivši dva Kupa Jugoslavije (1989, 1990).

Nakon Medveščaka igrao je u Nimesu, Bordeauxu, Istresu i Creteilu. U Francusko je osvojio dvije titule prvaka s Nimesom, a zatim se 1997. vratio u Hrvatsku u redove Zagreba. Tri sezone je proveo u redovima hrvatskog prvaka, a zadnje dvije stanice njegove igrače karijere bile su Veszprem i Zamet gdje je završio igračku karijeru i počeo raditi kao trener.

Sa Zagrebom je bio dvostruki europski prvak (1992, 1993), dok je s Veszpremom bio europski doprvak 2002.

Saračević je u dresu Jugoslavije osvojio dvije velike medalje - zlatnu medalju na Svjetskom pvenstvu u Švicarskoj 1986. i brončanu medalju na Olimpijskim igrama u Seulu dvije godine kasnije.

Vrhunac karijere doživio je u dresu hrvatske vrste osvojivši zlato na OI u Atlanti 1996. godine. U Atlanti je bio cimer sa Iztokom Pucom, koji nas je prerano napustio u listopad 2011. 

S Hrvatskom je bio i svjetski doprvak sa SP-a na Islandu 1995., osvajač brončane medalje na Europskom prvenstvu u Portugalu 1994. i zlata na Mediteranskim igrama 1993. u Languedoc-Roussillonu.

Kao član hrvatske reprezentacije 1996. godine dobitnik je Državne nagrade za šport "Franjo Bučar".

Trenersku karijeru je započeo na klupi Zameta, a vodio je i Nyíregyhazi, Čelik, Dubrovnik, PPD Zagreb, te Podravka Vegetu. U Koprivnicu je stigao je 2018. godine, a klupu Podravke je trebao napustiti na koncu ove sezoe kada ga je trebao zamijeniti Neven Hrupec.

Zanimljivo, njegov otac Hamdija bio je nekadašnji rukometaš banjalučkog Borca i reprezentacije Jugoslavije Hamdija Saračević, dok mu je stric Zlatan Saračević bio bacač kugle koji je 1980. godine osvojio zlato na europskom dvoranskom prvenstvu, a nakon toga i brončanu medalju.

Zlatkov stric Zlatan sudjelovao je i na Olimpijskim igrama u Barceloni 1992. godine kao član reprezentacije nezavisnih olimpijskih natjecatelja u kojoj su sudjelovali sportaši iz Jugoslavije u pojedinačnim disciplinama.

Zlatko se 2014. godine oženio Kornelijom Hrgotom u crkvi Svetog Križa u Zagrebu, a kum na vjenčanju bio mu je Božidar Jović, suigrač iz reprezentacije s kojim je osvojio olimpijsko zlato.

Legenda hrvatskog rukometa i trener Podravka Vegete Zlatan "Zlatko" Saračević (59) umro je u bolnici u Koprivnici nakon što mu je pozlilo poslije utakmice protiv Lokomotive.

Jedan od najboljih hrvatskih rukometaša svih vremena i ugledni rukometni trener umro je nakon što je njegova ekipa u derbiju hrvatskog prvenstva u Koprivnici pobijedila Lokomotivu sa 32-29 i napravila veliki korak prema novom naslovu prvakinja.

Saračević se radovao pobjedi svojih igračica, no nakon utakmice mu je pozlilo nakon čega je hitno prevezen u koprivničku bolnicu. Kako prenosi Podravski list, Saračević je nakon utakmice vozio kući trenericu vratarki Barbaru Stančin. Na semaforu mu je pozlilo te je Barbara odmah pozvala Hitnu pomoć.

Nažalost, liječnici ga nisu uspjeli spasiti i Saračević je ...
