Nije dugo trebalo Marinu Šegi da pokaže koliko je dragocjen hrvatskoj reprezentaciji. Odmah u prvoj utakmici u kojoj je nastupio, protiv Katra, skinuo je sva četiri sedmerca i trasirao put Hrvatske do trijumfa gotovo sigurno vrijednog plasmana u četvrtfinale Svjetskog prvenstva.

Treba tu istaknuti i ulogu Ivana Pešića koji je u uvodu utakmice s nekoliko obrana “potkresao” krila naših suparnika, a onda je palicu preuzeo Šego.

Već do poluvremena obranio je tri sedmerca, držao Katar na distanci i omogućio nam da na odmor odemo s dva gola razlike. U 50. minuti pri našem vodstvu 22:20 izludio je Madadija “skinuvši” mu već treći sedmerac i četvrti ukupno, a u sljedećem napadu otišli smo na plus tri... 

Još jedna za kraj

I za kraj, dvije minute prije isteka vremena Šego je upisao još jednu obranu, ovaj put Zakkaru iz igre, čime je potvrdio naš trijumf. Utakmicu je međugorski golman završio sa šest obrana, što onako na prvu i nije puno, ali nije sve u brojevima, nego i u tajmingu koji je u ovom slučaju bio fantastičan.

Povratak Šege sigurno će dati dodatni vjetar u leđa Červarovoj reprezentaciji uoči nastavka turnira nakon što su svi očekivali da će naš vratar propustiti prvi krug turnira. Uostalom, to je bio uvjet da ga njegov klub Montpellier pusti u Egipat jer je 16. prosinca prošle godine ozlijedio zglob u utakmici s PSG-om i do posljednjeg se trenutka nije znalo hoće li putovati s ostatkom reprezentacije. 

Uskočio prije plana

Na kraju se nekako dogovorio s klubom, oporavak je očito išao dobro i Šego je u sastav uskočio i ranije od planiranog. Sigurno u Montpellieru i nisu baš najsretniji, ali nama je svakako velika stvar što se Šego vratio i to u ovakvoj formi.

Marin je bio jedan od junaka lanjskog Eura na kojem smo uzeli srebro, a s njim na vratima naše šanse za medalju i u Egiptu ekspresno su porasle. •

Nije dugo trebalo Marinu Šegi da pokaže koliko je dragocjen hrvatskoj reprezentaciji. Odmah u prvoj utakmici u kojoj je nastupio, protiv Katra, skinuo je sva četiri sedmerca i trasirao put Hrvatske do trijumfa gotovo sigurno vrijednog plasmana u četvrtfinale Svjetskog prvenstva.

Treba tu istaknuti i ulogu Ivana Pešića koji je u uvodu utakmice s nekoliko obrana “potkresao” krila naših suparnika, a onda je palicu preuzeo Šego.

Već do poluvremena obranio je tri sedmerca, držao Katar na distanci i omogućio nam da na odmor odemo s dva gola razlike. U 50. minuti pri našem vodstvu 22:20 izludio je Madadija “skinuvši” mu već treći sedmerac i četvrti ukupno, a u sljedećem napadu otišli smo na plus tri... 

Još jedna za kraj

I za kraj, dvije minute prije isteka vremena Šego je upisao još jednu obranu, ovaj put Zakkaru iz igre, čime je potvrdio naš trijumf. Utakmicu je međugorski golman završio sa šest obrana, što onako na prvu i nije puno, ali nije sve u brojevima, nego i u tajmingu koji je u ovom slučaju bio fantastičan.

Povratak Šege sigurno će dati dodatni vjetar u leđa Červarovoj reprezentaciji uoči nastavka turnira nakon što su svi očekivali da će naš vratar propustiti prvi krug turnira. Uostalom, to je bio uvjet da ga njegov klub Montpellier pusti u Egipat jer je 16. prosinca prošle godine ozlijedio zglob u utakmici s PSG-om i do posljednjeg se trenutka nije znalo hoće li putovati s ostatkom reprezentacije. 

Uskočio prije plana

Na kraju se nekako dogovorio s klubom, oporavak je očito išao dobro i Šego je u sastav uskočio i ranije od planiranog. Sigurno u Montpellieru i nisu baš najsretniji, ali nama je svakako velika stvar što se Šego vratio i to u ovakvoj formi.

Marin je bio jedan od junaka lanjskog Eura na kojem smo uzeli srebro, a s njim na vratima naše šanse za medalju i u Egiptu ekspresno su porasle. •

Sa Šegom nam rastu ambicije: već do poluvremena obranio je tri sedmerca, držao Katar na distanci, donio nam mir...

Nije dugo trebalo Marinu Šegi da pokaže koliko je dragocjen hrvatskoj reprezentaciji. Odmah u prvoj utakmici u kojoj je nastupio, protiv Katra, skinuo je sva četiri sedmerca i trasirao put Hrvatske do trijumfa gotovo sigurno vrijednog plasmana u četvrtfinale Svjetskog prvenstva.

Treba tu istaknuti i ulogu Ivana Pešića koji je u uvodu utakmice s nekoliko obrana “potkresao” krila naših suparnika, a onda je palicu preuzeo Šego.

Već do poluvremena obranio je tri sedmerca, držao Katar na distanci i omogućio nam da na odmor odemo s dva gola razlike. U 50. minuti pri našem vodstvu 22:20 izludio je Madadija “skinuvši” mu već treći sedmerac i četvrti ukupno, a u sljedećem napadu otišli smo na plus tri...
