Vodstvo španjolskog nogometnog velikana Barcelone uručilo je otkaz Ernestu Valverdeu, a novim trenerom je imenovan Quique Setien (61).

Vodstvo kluba je u ponedjeljak u 21 sati održalo hitan sastanak na kojem je zahvaljeno Valverdeu, a novim trenerom je imenovan Setien kojeg se smatra "Cruyffovim učenikom" i stručnjakom koji inzistira na lijepoj igri.

"Hvala na svemu Ernesto i sve najbolje u budućnosti", navela je Barcelona u priopćenju.

Valverde je Barcelonu preuzeo u svibnju 2017. umjesto Luisa Enriquea. Momčad je vodio na 145 utakmica upisavši 97 pobjeda, 32 remija i 16 poraza. Osvojio je četiri trofeja - dva prvenstva, španjolski Kup i Superkup. Prije dolaska na Camp Nou vodio je Athletic Bilbao, Valenciju, Olympiacos, Villarreal i Espanyol.

Umjesto njega priliku će dobiti Setien koji je potpisao ugovor na dvije i pol godine. U krugu kandidata za Barcinu klupu bili su i Mauricio Pochettino, te Garcia Pimienta, ali je izbor pao na Setiena.

Zanimljivo, Setien je relativno nepoznat izvan Španjolske, ali je u domovini iznimno cijenjen zog svoje napadačke nogometne filozofije.

Posljednji posao je imao u Real Betisu s kojim je 2018. bio šesti u Primeri i vratio taj klub u Europu nakon pet sezona. Prošle sezone uspio je pobijediti Barcelonu, Real Madrid i Atletico Madrid u gostima, što nije uspjelo nikome u posljednjih 18 godina.

Rođen je u Santanderu, gdje je započeo karijeru profesionalnog igrača (1977), ali i karijeru profesionalnog trenera (2001).

Setien je savladao nogometnu znanost kao vezni igrač Atletico Madrida (1985-1988) , Logronesa (1988-1992), Santandera (1977-1985, 1992-1996) i Levantea (1996).

"Pokušao sam ostati slobodan na terenu, igrati svoj nogomet. Bilo je to kada sam vidio kako Barca iga pod Cruyffom."

Kao trener Setien je prošao kroz šest klubova u gotovo 20 godina profesije, uključujući Santander (2001-2002), El Ejido (2003-2004), Logrones (2007-2008), Lugo (2009-2015 ) i Las Palmas (2015-2017). Od 2017. do svibnja 2019. je vodio Betis.

Premijeru na Barcinoj klupi imat će 19. siječnja u ligaškom susretu protiv Granade.

Vodstvo španjolskog nogometnog velikana Barcelone uručilo je otkaz Ernestu Valverdeu, a novim trenerom je imenovan Quique Setien (61).

Vodstvo kluba je u ponedjeljak u 21 sati održalo hitan sastanak na kojem je zahvaljeno Valverdeu, a novim trenerom je imenovan Setien kojeg se smatra "Cruyffovim učenikom" i stručnjakom koji inzistira na lijepoj igri.

"Hvala na svemu Ernesto i sve najbolje u budućnosti", navela je Barcelona u priopćenju.

Valverde je Barcelonu preuzeo u svibnju 2017. umjesto Luisa Enriquea. Momčad je vodio na 145 utakmica upisavši 97 pobjeda, 32 remija i 16 poraza. Osvojio je četiri trofeja - dva prvenstva, španjolski Kup i Superkup. Prije dolaska na Camp Nou vodio je Athletic Bilbao, Valenciju, Olympiacos, Villarreal i Espanyol.

Umjesto njega priliku će dobiti Setien koji je potpisao ugovor na dvije i pol godine. U krugu kandidata za Barcinu klupu bili su i Mauricio Pochettino, te Garcia Pimienta, ali je izbor pao na Setiena.

Zanimljivo, Setien je relativno nepoznat izvan Španjolske, ali je u domovini iznimno cijenjen zog svoje napadačke nogometne filozofije.

Posljednji posao je imao u Real Betisu s kojim je 2018. bio šesti u Primeri i vratio taj klub u Europu nakon pet sezona. Prošle sezone uspio je pobijediti Barcelonu, Real Madrid i Atletico Madrid u gostima, što nije uspjelo nikome u posljednjih 18 godina.

Rođen je u Santanderu, gdje je započeo karijeru profesionalnog igrača (1977), ali i karijeru profesionalnog trenera (2001).

Setien je savladao nogometnu znanost kao vezni igrač Atletico Madrida (1985-1988) , Logronesa (1988-1992), Santandera (1977-1985, 1992-1996) i Levantea (1996).

"Pokušao sam ostati slobodan na terenu, igrati svoj nogomet. Bilo je to kada sam vidio kako Barca iga pod Cruyffom."

Kao trener Setien je prošao kroz šest klubova u gotovo 20 godina profesije, uključujući Santander (2001-2002), El Ejido (2003-2004), Logrones (2007-2008), Lugo (2009-2015 ) i Las Palmas (2015-2017). Od 2017. do svibnja 2019. je vodio Betis.

Premijeru na Barcinoj klupi imat će 19. siječnja u ligaškom susretu protiv Granade.

Barcelona otpustila Valverdea, novi trener na klupi katalonskog velikana

Vodstvo španjolskog nogometnog velikana Barcelone uručilo je otkaz Ernestu Valverdeu, a novim trenerom je imenovan Quique Setien (61).

Vodstvo kluba je u ponedjeljak u 21 sati održalo hitan sastanak na kojem je zahvaljeno Valverdeu, a novim trenerom je imenovan Setien kojeg se smatra "Cruyffovim učenikom" i stručnjakom koji inzistira na lijepoj igri.

"Hvala na svemu Ernesto i sve najbolje u budućnosti", navela je Barcelona u priopćenju.

Valverde je Barcelonu preuzeo u svibnju 2017. umjesto Luisa Enriquea. Momčad je vodio na 145 utakmica upisavši 97 pobjeda, 32 remija i 16 poraza. Osvojio je četiri trofeja - dva prvenstva, španjolski Kup i Superkup. Prije dolaska na Camp Nou vodio je Athletic Bilbao, Valenciju, Olympiacos, Villarreal i Espanyol.
