Nogometaš hrvatskih korijena Zdenko Morović, koji je igrao za reprezentaciju Venezuele od 1987. do 1990. godine, preminuo je u dobi od 57 godina, izvijestili su u srijedu mediji iz te južnoameričke zemlje.

"Otišao je povijesni branič hrvatskih korijena koji je imao istaknutu karijeru u Venezueli", izvijestio je portal Meridiano.

Lokalni izvjestitelj Jean Carrero nazvao je Morovića "velikanom venezuelanskog nogometa" na društvenoj mreži X. Ondje je objavio video početka utakmice u kojoj je Morović nastupao s brojem 5 na dresu.

Morović, rođen u glavnom venezuelanskom gradu Caracasu, potječe iz obitelji iz okolice Zadra. S 13 godina je otišao u podmladak splitskog Hajduka. Na poziciji stopera je zatim igrao u venezuelanskom prvoligašu Deportivo Italiji (2023. preimenovanom u Deportivo Miranda), a onda je prešao u Club Maritimo s kojim je osvojio prvenstvo 1988. i 1990. godine.

Odande je otišao u Caracas F.C. s kojim je osvajao venezuelansko prvenstvo 1992., 1994. i 1995. te dva nacionalna kupa.

"Probudili smo se uz tužnu vijest o preminuću Zdenka Morovića koji je s Caracasom osvojio prvi naslov prvaka tog kluba 1992.", izvijestio je novinar David de Pasquale putem društvene mreže X. Ondje je objavio njegovu fotografiju uz riječi "pokoj mu duši".

Morović je za reprezentaciju Venezuele igrao 1987. godine utakmicu Copa Americe u kojoj je njegova momčad poražena od Brazila s 0-5. Upisao je i dva nastupa u kvalifikacijama za Svjetsko prvenstvo u Italiji 1990.

Godine 2009. mu je dijagnosticiran virusni miokarditis, upala mišićnog tkiva srca. Od tada je redovito odlazio u Španjolsku na preglede, te mu je presađeno srce, a primao je i lijekove, izvijestio je portal "800 noticias". U jednom intervjuu je rekao da to sve ne bi mogao obaviti u Venezueli, naveo je isti medij.

Mediji su izvijestili da je preminuo u ponedjeljak ne navodeći uzrok smrti.

U Venezueli živi oko 6.000 Hrvata i njihovih potomaka, podatak je Središnjeg državnog ureda za Hrvate izvan Hrvatske.

Nogometaš hrvatskih korijena Zdenko Morović, koji je igrao za reprezentaciju Venezuele od 1987. do 1990. godine, preminuo je u dobi od 57 godina, izvijestili su u srijedu mediji iz te južnoameričke zemlje.

"Otišao je povijesni branič hrvatskih korijena koji je imao istaknutu karijeru u Venezueli", izvijestio je portal Meridiano.

Lokalni izvjestitelj Jean Carrero nazvao je Morovića "velikanom venezuelanskog nogometa" na društvenoj mreži X. Ondje je objavio video početka utakmice u kojoj je Morović nastupao s brojem 5 na dresu.

Morović, rođen u glavnom venezuelanskom gradu Caracasu, potječe iz obitelji iz okolice Zadra. S 13 godina je otišao u podmladak splitskog Hajduka. Na poziciji stopera je zatim igrao u venezuelanskom prvoligašu Deportivo Italiji (2023. preimenovanom u Deportivo Miranda), a onda je prešao u Club Maritimo s kojim je osvojio prvenstvo 1988. i 1990. godine.

Odande je otišao u Caracas F.C. s kojim je osvajao venezuelansko prvenstvo 1992., 1994. i 1995. te dva nacionalna kupa.

"Probudili smo se uz tužnu vijest o preminuću Zdenka Morovića koji je s Caracasom osvojio prvi naslov prvaka tog kluba 1992.", izvijestio je novinar David de Pasquale putem društvene mreže X. Ondje je objavio njegovu fotografiju uz riječi "pokoj mu duši".

Morović je za reprezentaciju Venezuele igrao 1987. godine utakmicu Copa Americe u kojoj je njegova momčad poražena od Brazila s 0-5. Upisao je i dva nastupa u kvalifikacijama za Svjetsko prvenstvo u Italiji 1990.

Godine 2009. mu je dijagnosticiran virusni miokarditis, upala mišićnog tkiva srca. Od tada je redovito odlazio u Španjolsku na preglede, te mu je presađeno srce, a primao je i lijekove, izvijestio je portal "800 noticias". U jednom intervjuu je rekao da to sve ne bi mogao obaviti u Venezueli, naveo je isti medij.

Mediji su izvijestili da je preminuo u ponedjeljak ne navodeći uzrok smrti.

U Venezueli živi oko 6.000 Hrvata i njihovih potomaka, podatak je Središnjeg državnog ureda za Hrvate izvan Hrvatske.

Preminuo bivši reprezentativac Venezuele: ‘Otišao je povijesni branič hrvatskih korijena...‘

Nogometaš hrvatskih korijena Zdenko Morović, koji je igrao za reprezentaciju Venezuele od 1987. do 1990. godine, preminuo je u dobi od 57 godina, izvijestili su u srijedu mediji iz te južnoameričke zemlje.

"Otišao je povijesni branič hrvatskih korijena koji je imao istaknutu karijeru u Venezueli", izvijestio je portal Meridiano.

Lokalni izvjestitelj Jean Carrero nazvao je Morovića "velikanom venezuelanskog nogometa" na društvenoj mreži X. Ondje je objavio video početka utakmice u kojoj je Morović nastupao s brojem 5 na dresu.

Morović, rođen u glavnom venezuelanskom gradu Caracasu, potječe iz obitelji iz okolice Zadra. S 13 godina je otišao u podmladak splitskog Hajduka. Na poziciji stopera je zatim igrao u venezuelanskom prvoligašu Deportivo Italiji (2023. preimenovanom u Deportivo Miranda), a onda je prešao u Club Maritimo s kojim je osvojio prvenstvo 1988. i 1990. godine.

Odande je otišao u Caracas F.C. s kojim je osvajao venezuelansko prvenstvo 1992., 1994. i 1995. te dva nacionalna kupa.

"Probudili smo se uz tužnu vijest o preminuću Zdenka Morovića koji je s Caracasom osvojio prvi naslov prvaka tog kluba 1992.", izvijestio je novinar David de Pasquale putem društvene mreže X. Ondje je objavio njegovu fotografiju uz riječi "pokoj mu duši".

Morović je za reprezentaciju Venezuele igrao 1987. godine utakmicu Copa Americe u kojoj je njegova momčad poražena od Brazila s 0-5. Upisao je i dva nastupa u kvalifikacijama za Svjetsko prvenstvo u Italiji 1990.

Godine 2009. mu je dijagnosticiran virusni miokarditis, upala mišićnog tkiva srca. Od tada je redovito odlazio u Španjolsku na preglede, te mu je presađeno srce, a primao je i lijekove, izvijestio je portal "800 noticias". U jednom intervjuu je rekao da to sve ne bi mogao obaviti u Venezueli, naveo je isti medij.

Mediji su izvijestili da je preminuo u ponedjeljak ne navodeći uzrok smrti.

U Venezueli živi oko 6.000 Hrvata i njihovih potomaka, podatak je Središnjeg državnog ureda za Hrvate izvan Hrvatske.
