Uprava engleskoga nogometnega prvoligaša West Bromwich Albiona objavila je da će smijenjenog trenera Slavena Bilića naslijediti Sam Allardyce (66).
WBA je isti dan kada je smijenio bivšega hrvatskoga izbornika objavio i ime novoga, a to će biti bivši engleski izbornik Allardyce, koji je čuven po spašavanju engleskih klubova od ispadanja.
Allardyce je potpisao ugovor na 18 mjeseci, a to će biti prvi angažman od svibnja 2018. godine, kada je otišao iz Evertona. U karijeri je vodio Bolton Wandererse, Newcastle United, Blackburn Roverse, West Ham United, Sunderland i Crystal Palace,a Englesku 2016. godine svega 67 dana i bio prisiljen dati otkaz nakon jedne TV-emisije u kojoj su ga tajno snimali kako nudi svoje usluge oko prodaje igrača.
Londonski dnevni list Telegraph objavio je tada priču s videosnimkom na kojoj se vidi kako Allardyce dogovara posao oko prodaje igrača s "predstavnicima ozbiljne tvrtke s Dalekog istoka". Na njegovu žalost, ispostavilo se da su ti predstavnici u stvari - Telegraphovi novinari, pa je morao odstupiti.
Slaven Bilić je postao prvim trenerom u ovoj sezoni Premier lige kojemu je uručen otkaz.
Podsjetimo, veliki, superbogati Manchester City na svom je terenu odigrao tek 1:1 protiv novog člana Premiershipa, neusporedivo financijski slabijeg West Bromwich Albiona. Ali jučer, dan nakon susreta, Pepu Guardioli nije pala dlaka s glave, već je smijenjen trener WBA Slaven Bilić! Eto što ti je trenerski posao.
Naravno, smjena bivšeg hrvatskog izbornika od strane kineskih čelnika kluba bila je spakirana već ranije. Da je i slavio kod jedne od najboljih momčadi svijeta, vjerojatno bi teško dugoročno izbjegao otkaz.
Naravno, ni Guardiola ga ne zaslužuje, niti to zagovaramo. Samo nam je namjera bila naznačiti koliko je sve skupa ta odluka u tom trenutku apsurdna.
Rezultati na prvu možda daju materijala za ovakvu odluku čelnicima kluba. WBA je na pretposljednjem mjestu sa samo sedam osvojenih bodova odnosno tek jednom pobjedom u 13 susreta. Međutim, brojke govore i sljedeće. WBA je po vrijednosti momčadi na transfermarktu uvjerljivo najjeftinija momčad lige.
Za usporedbu Man. City vrijedi deset puta više, a najbliži klub je 50 posto vrijedniji od WBA. Vlasnik kluba kineski milijarder Lai Guochuan težak je 3,1 milijardu eura. Međutim, u ljeto je Bilić složio momčad koja je manje-više tek na razini one prošlosezonske s kojom je izborio ulazak u Premiership.
Novac za pojačanja je otišao na otkup igrača koje je sezonu prije Bilić doveo na posudbu, s kojima je ušao u Premiership. Znalo se pritom kako su mnogi od igrača koje je Bilić želio angažirati u pokušaju da se sačuva prvoligaški status na koncu završili u momčadima izravnih konkurenata jer su za WBA redom bili preskupi (Watkins u Aston Villi, Eze u Crystal Palaceu...).
To je sve skupa Bilić znao apostrofirati, a prozvao je klub nakon prodaje obrambenog igrača Ahmeda Hegazija odrađene iza njegovih leđa.
Pritom nije bilo ni sreće, propušteno je vodstvo 3:0 protiv Chelseaja, u 0:1 porazu kod Manchester Uniteda VAR nije bio sklon momčadi WBA...
U utorak navečer je odigrao i ovih 1:1 na Etihadu. Međutim, protiv protivnika s kojima je ravnopravniji WBA nije uspio skupiti više bodova da smanji pritisak čelnika kluba koji iz nekog razloga smatraju da momčad baš i ne bi trebala biti u borbi za ostanak.
Na neki način Bilić je tako postao žrtva vlastitog prošlosezonskog uspjeha. Ujedno prva ovosezonska trenerska žrtva Premiershipa. Baš nakon susreta koji mu je bio stoti trenerski u Premiershipu na klupama West Hama odnosno WBA.

Zajedno s Bilićem bez posla ostali su također i njegovi pomoćnici Dean Računica, Danilo Butorović, trener prve momčadi Julian Dicks.

Uprava engleskoga nogometnega prvoligaša West Bromwich Albiona objavila je da će smijenjenog trenera Slavena Bilića naslijediti Sam Allardyce (66).
WBA je isti dan kada je smijenio bivšega hrvatskoga izbornika objavio i ime novoga, a to će biti bivši engleski izbornik Allardyce, koji je čuven po spašavanju engleskih klubova od ispadanja.
Allardyce je potpisao ugovor na 18 mjeseci, a to će biti prvi angažman od svibnja 2018. godine, kada je otišao iz Evertona. U karijeri je vodio Bolton Wandererse, Newcastle United, Blackburn Roverse, West Ham United, Sunderland i Crystal Palace,a Englesku 2016. godine svega 67 dana i bio prisiljen dati otkaz nakon jedne TV-emisije u kojoj su ga tajno snimali kako nudi svoje usluge oko prodaje igrača.
Londonski dnevni list Telegraph objavio je tada priču s videosnimkom na kojoj se vidi kako Allardyce dogovara posao oko prodaje igrača s "predstavnicima ozbiljne tvrtke s Dalekog istoka". Na njegovu žalost, ispostavilo se da su ti predstavnici u stvari - Telegraphovi novinari, pa je morao odstupiti.
Slaven Bilić je postao prvim trenerom u ovoj sezoni Premier lige kojemu je uručen otkaz.
Podsjetimo, veliki, superbogati Manchester City na svom je terenu odigrao tek 1:1 protiv novog člana Premiershipa, neusporedivo financijski slabijeg West Bromwich Albiona. Ali jučer, dan nakon susreta, Pepu Guardioli nije pala dlaka s glave, već je smijenjen trener WBA Slaven Bilić! Eto što ti je trenerski posao.
Naravno, smjena bivšeg hrvatskog izbornika od strane kineskih čelnika kluba bila je spakirana već ranije. Da je i slavio kod jedne od najboljih momčadi svijeta, vjerojatno bi teško dugoročno izbjegao otkaz.
Naravno, ni Guardiola ga ne zaslužuje, niti to zagovaramo. Samo nam je namjera bila naznačiti koliko je sve skupa ta odluka u tom trenutku apsurdna.
Rezultati na prvu možda daju materijala za ovakvu odluku čelnicima kluba. WBA je na pretposljednjem mjestu sa samo sedam osvojenih bodova odnosno tek jednom pobjedom u 13 susreta. Međutim, brojke govore i sljedeće. WBA je po vrijednosti momčadi na transfermarktu uvjerljivo najjeftinija momčad lige.
Za usporedbu Man. City vrijedi deset puta više, a najbliži klub je 50 posto vrijedniji od WBA. Vlasnik kluba kineski milijarder Lai Guochuan težak je 3,1 milijardu eura. Međutim, u ljeto je Bilić složio momčad koja je manje-više tek na razini one prošlosezonske s kojom je izborio ulazak u Premiership.
Novac za pojačanja je otišao na otkup igrača koje je sezonu prije Bilić doveo na posudbu, s kojima je ušao u Premiership. Znalo se pritom kako su mnogi od igrača koje je Bilić želio angažirati u pokušaju da se sačuva prvoligaški status na koncu završili u momčadima izravnih konkurenata jer su za WBA redom bili preskupi (Watkins u Aston Villi, Eze u Crystal Palaceu...).
To je sve skupa Bilić znao apostrofirati, a prozvao je klub nakon prodaje obrambenog igrača Ahmeda Hegazija odrađene iza njegovih leđa.
Pritom nije bilo ni sreće, propušteno je vodstvo 3:0 protiv Chelseaja, u 0:1 porazu kod Manchester Uniteda VAR nije bio sklon momčadi WBA...
U utorak navečer je odigrao i ovih 1:1 na Etihadu. Međutim, protiv protivnika s kojima je ravnopravniji WBA nije uspio skupiti više bodova da smanji pritisak čelnika kluba koji iz nekog razloga smatraju da momčad baš i ne bi trebala biti u borbi za ostanak.
Na neki način Bilić je tako postao žrtva vlastitog prošlosezonskog uspjeha. Ujedno prva ovosezonska trenerska žrtva Premiershipa. Baš nakon susreta koji mu je bio stoti trenerski u Premiershipu na klupama West Hama odnosno WBA.
- Hvala Slavenu i njegovom stručnom stožeru na svemu što su napravili da klub prošle sezone izbori Premierligu i želimo im sve najbolje u budućnosti – šturo i hladno su između ostalog poručili iz kluba.
Zajedno s Bilićem bez posla ostali su također i njegovi pomoćnici Dean Računica, Danilo Butorović, trener prve momčadi Julian Dicks.
