Gary Lineker ponovno diže prašinu. Proslavljeni engleski nogometaš angažiran je kao voditelj na BBC-u, a nerijetko na društvenim mrežama komentira i teme koje nisu povezane s nogometom ili sportom općenito.
Tako je nedavno kritizirao migrantsku politiku britanske vlade usporedivši je s njemačkom politikom 30-ih godina, zbog čega je privremeno suspendiran s pozicije voditelja emisije Match of the Day. No nakon oštre reakcije javnosti brzo je ‘pomilovan‘ i vraćen na posao, pišu Sportske novosti.
Najnovija tema kojom se pozabavio Lineker vezana je uz sukob Izraela i Hamasa. Naime, na društvenoj mreži X podijelio je intervju s izraelskim akademikom Razom Segalom, izvanrednim profesorom studija holokausta i genocida na Sveučilištu Stockton (New Jersey), koji je situaciju u Gazi opisao kao ‘genocid iz udžbenika‘.
I podrške i kritike
Segal u video snimci razgovora tvrdi da su napadi i nasilje u Gazi ‘jasno artikulirani‘ slučaj genocida.
- Sada je to artikulirano kroz izraelske medije, društvo i politiku, i svatko tko slijedi izvore na hebrejskom jeziku izložen je šokantnom, šokantnom jeziku članova parlamenta, novinara, na društvenim medijima, u javnim prostorima, koji pozivaju na uništenje Gaze, sravniti Gazu s zemljom, pobiti sve - rekao je Segal.
Izraelski akademik dodatno je pojasnio svoju tvrdnju:
- Budući da je namjera izražena tako eksplicitno, tako izravno... na takve besramne načine i nastavila se izražavati na ovaj način, onda zaista mislim da je ono što vidimo pred našim očima udžbenički slučaj genocida.
Lineker je uz objavu napisao ‘Vrijedi 13 minuta bilo čijeg vremena‘, a odmah su krenuli komentari njegovih pratitelja. Kako to obično biva, jedni su ga podržali, drugi ga pak kritiziraju.
Nova pravila BBC-ja
‘‘BBC-jev Lineker podržava video u kojem se Izrael optužuje za ‘genocid iz udžbenika‘. Porezni obveznik ne bi trebao biti prisiljen plaćati za ovu razinu neznanja. Lineker mora sići s pijedestala koji je sam sebi postavio‘‘, piše jedan komentator.
Drugi korisnik X-a smatra da je Lineker u pravu.
‘‘Ljudi bi definitivno trebali poslušati profesora i naučiti od stručnjaka zašto je grozota koja se događa u Gazi ‘GENOCID iz udžbenika‘.‘‘, stoji u njegovoj objavi.
BBC zasad nije komentirao slučaj, no u rujnu je britanski javni servis postavio nova pravila. Tako voditelji vodećih emisija, među koje spada i Lineker, ‘‘ne smiju podržavati ili napadati političku stranku, kritizirati karakter pojedinih političara u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu ili preuzeti službenu ulogu u kampanjama grupa‘‘.
Kako piše Independent, dozvoljava im se izražavanje stajališta o pitanjima i politikama, uključujući pitanja političkih sukoba, ali trebaju izbjegavati kampanju unutar stranačke politike ili za aktivističke organizacije...

Gary Lineker ponovno diže prašinu. Proslavljeni engleski nogometaš angažiran je kao voditelj na BBC-u, a nerijetko na društvenim mrežama komentira i teme koje nisu povezane s nogometom ili sportom općenito.

Naime, na društvenoj mreži X podijelio je intervju s izraelskim akademikom Razom Segalom, izvanrednim profesorom studija holokausta i genocida na Sveučilištu Stockton (New Jersey), koji je situaciju u Gazi opisao kao ‘genocid iz udžbenika‘.
I podrške i kritike
Segal u video snimci razgovora tvrdi da su napadi i nasilje u Gazi ‘jasno artikulirani‘ slučaj genocida.
- Sada je to artikulirano kroz izraelske medije, društvo i politiku, i svatko tko slijedi izvore na hebrejskom jeziku izložen je šokantnom, šokantnom jeziku članova parlamenta, novinara, na društvenim medijima, u javnim prostorima, koji pozivaju na uništenje Gaze, sravniti Gazu s zemljom, pobiti sve - rekao je Segal.
Izraelski akademik dodatno je pojasnio svoju tvrdnju:
- Budući da je namjera izražena tako eksplicitno, tako izravno... na takve besramne načine i nastavila se izražavati na ovaj način, onda zaista mislim da je ono što vidimo pred našim očima udžbenički slučaj genocida.
Lineker je uz objavu napisao ‘Vrijedi 13 minuta bilo čijeg vremena‘, a odmah su krenuli komentari njegovih pratitelja. Kako to obično biva, jedni su ga podržali, drugi ga pak kritiziraju.
Nova pravila BBC-ja
‘‘BBC-jev Lineker podržava video u kojem se Izrael optužuje za ‘genocid iz udžbenika‘. Porezni obveznik ne bi trebao biti prisiljen plaćati za ovu razinu neznanja. Lineker mora sići s pijedestala koji je sam sebi postavio‘‘, piše jedan komentator.
Drugi korisnik X-a smatra da je Lineker u pravu.
‘‘Ljudi bi definitivno trebali poslušati profesora i naučiti od stručnjaka zašto je grozota koja se događa u Gazi ‘GENOCID iz udžbenika‘.‘‘, stoji u njegovoj objavi.
BBC zasad nije komentirao slučaj, no u rujnu je britanski javni servis postavio nova pravila. Tako voditelji vodećih emisija, među koje spada i Lineker, ‘‘ne smiju podržavati ili napadati političku stranku, kritizirati karakter pojedinih političara u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu ili preuzeti službenu ulogu u kampanjama grupa‘‘.
Kako piše Independent, dozvoljava im se izražavanje stajališta o pitanjima i politikama, uključujući pitanja političkih sukoba, ali trebaju izbjegavati kampanju unutar stranačke politike ili za aktivističke organizacije...
