Svjetska teniska zajednica sve je zabrinutija zbog situacije kineske tenisačice Peng Shuai, koja je nestala nakon što je optužila utjecajnog člana Komunističke partije Kine da ju je prisiljavao na spolni odnos.
Ranije ovog mjeseca, 35-godišnja Shuai, jedna od najvećih kineskih sportskih zvijezda, napisala je na društvenim mrežama da ju je bivši zamjenik premijera Zhang Gaoli "natjerao na seks". Napisala je i da je s njim kasnije imala sporazumni odnos. Kineski online cenzori brzo su izbrisali objavu s platforme Weibo, uklonili sve inkriminirajuće dokaze o optužbama protiv utjecajnog člana kineske vlade, a Peng je od tada nestala.
Vodstvo WTA pozvalo je da se tvrdnje 35-godišnje tenisačice istraže "potpuno, pošteno, transparentno i bez cenzure".
Glasnogovornik kineskog ministarstva vanjskih poslova Zhao Lijian, upitan da odgovori na pitanje u vezi Peng, rekao je: "Nisam čuo za pitanje koje ste postavili."
Dodao je da "ovo nije diplomatsko pitanje", ali nije komentirao sudbinu kineske tenisačice, navodi agencija AFP. Nije se oglasio niti Kineski teniski savez.
Njezina objava s početka studenog da ju je seksualno zlostavljao jedan od najmoćnijih kineskih političara i dalje je izbrisana s kineskog interneta.
- Naš apsolutni i nepokolebljivi prioritet je zdravlje i sigurnost naših sportaša - stoji u priopćenju krovne organizacije ženskog tenisa.
Predsjednik WTA Steve Simon je za New York Times izjavio kako je dobio potvrdu od nekoliko izvora, uključujući Kineski teniski savez, da je Peng "sigurna i da nije ugrožena". Međutim, prema njegovim riječima, nitko povezan s WTA Tourom nije mogao izravno kontaktirati Kineskinju kako bi potvrdio njezin status.
Upravno tijelo muškog tenisa (ATP) u ponedjeljak je podržalo WTA u nastajanju da se istraži njezina situacija.
- Ne postoji ništa važnije za nas od sigurnosti naše teniske zajednice - rekao je predsjednik ATP-a Andrea Gaudenzi.
- Duboko smo zabrinuti zbog neizvjesnosti oko neposredne sigurnosti i gdje se nalazi Peng Shuai. Potpuno podržavamo WTA-in poziv na potpunu, poštenu i transparentnu istragu o optužbama za seksualno zlostavljanje - dodao je.
Sadašnje i bivše tenisačice izrazile su veliku zabrinutost na društvenim mrežama za sigurnost bivše najbolje tenisačice svijeta u parovima i pobjednice dvaju ženskih grand slam turnira zajedno s Tajvankom Hsieh Su-wei u Wimbledonu i French Openu 2013. i 2014. godine.
- Poznajem Peng od njezine 14. godine. Svi bi trebali biti zabrinuti. To je ozbiljno. Gdje je? Je li sigurna? Bila bih sretna za bilo kakvu informaciju - napisala je pobjednica 18 Grand Slam turnira u pojedinačnoj konkurenciji Amerikanka Chris Evert.
Oglasio se i najbolji tenisač svijeta Novak Đoković.
- Nemam puno informacija na tu temu, čuo sam za to prije tjedan dana i iskreno, šokantno je da je nestala - kazao je srpski tenisač.
- Nema se što drugo reći. Nadamo se da će je pronaći, da je dobro. Užasno je, samo mogu zamisliti kako se njezina obitelj osjeća - dodao je.
Zhang, koji sada ima 75 godina, bio je potpredsjednik premijera između 2013. i 2018., a bio je član Stalnog odbora Politbiroa između 2012. i 2017. Jedan od najmoćnijih kineskih političara nije javno reagirao na optužbe.

Svjetska teniska zajednica sve je zabrinutija zbog situacije kineske tenisačice Peng Shuai, koja je nestala nakon što je optužila utjecajnog člana Komunističke partije Kine da ju je prisiljavao na spolni odnos.
Ranije ovog mjeseca, 35-godišnja Shuai, jedna od najvećih kineskih sportskih zvijezda, napisala je na društvenim mrežama da ju je bivši zamjenik premijera Zhang Gaoli "natjerao na seks". Napisala je i da je s njim kasnije imala sporazumni odnos. Kineski online cenzori brzo su izbrisali objavu s platforme Weibo, uklonili sve inkriminirajuće dokaze o optužbama protiv utjecajnog člana kineske vlade, a Peng je od tada nestala.
Vodstvo WTA pozvalo je da se tvrdnje 35-godišnje tenisačice istraže "potpuno, pošteno, transparentno i bez cenzure".
Glasnogovornik kineskog ministarstva vanjskih poslova Zhao Lijian, upitan da odgovori na pitanje u vezi Peng, rekao je: "Nisam čuo za pitanje koje ste postavili."
Dodao je da "ovo nije diplomatsko pitanje", ali nije komentirao sudbinu kineske tenisačice, navodi agencija AFP. Nije se oglasio niti Kineski teniski savez.
Njezina objava s početka studenog da ju je seksualno zlostavljao jedan od najmoćnijih kineskih političara i dalje je izbrisana s kineskog interneta.
- Naš apsolutni i nepokolebljivi prioritet je zdravlje i sigurnost naših sportaša - stoji u priopćenju krovne organizacije ženskog tenisa.
Predsjednik WTA Steve Simon je za New York Times izjavio kako je dobio potvrdu od nekoliko izvora, uključujući Kineski teniski savez, da je Peng "sigurna i da nije ugrožena". Međutim, prema njegovim riječima, nitko povezan s WTA Tourom nije mogao izravno kontaktirati Kineskinju kako bi potvrdio njezin status.
Upravno tijelo muškog tenisa (ATP) u ponedjeljak je podržalo WTA u nastajanju da se istraži njezina situacija.
- Ne postoji ništa važnije za nas od sigurnosti naše teniske zajednice - rekao je predsjednik ATP-a Andrea Gaudenzi.
- Duboko smo zabrinuti zbog neizvjesnosti oko neposredne sigurnosti i gdje se nalazi Peng Shuai. Potpuno podržavamo WTA-in poziv na potpunu, poštenu i transparentnu istragu o optužbama za seksualno zlostavljanje - dodao je.
Sadašnje i bivše tenisačice izrazile su veliku zabrinutost na društvenim mrežama za sigurnost bivše najbolje tenisačice svijeta u parovima i pobjednice dvaju ženskih grand slam turnira zajedno s Tajvankom Hsieh Su-wei u Wimbledonu i French Openu 2013. i 2014. godine.
- Poznajem Peng od njezine 14. godine. Svi bi trebali biti zabrinuti. To je ozbiljno. Gdje je? Je li sigurna? Bila bih sretna za bilo kakvu informaciju - napisala je pobjednica 18 Grand Slam turnira u pojedinačnoj konkurenciji Amerikanka Chris Evert.
Oglasio se i najbolji tenisač svijeta Novak Đoković.
- Nemam puno informacija na tu temu, čuo sam za to prije tjedan dana i iskreno, šokantno je da je nestala - kazao je srpski tenisač.
- Nema se što drugo reći. Nadamo se da će je pronaći, da je dobro. Užasno je, samo mogu zamisliti kako se njezina obitelj osjeća - dodao je.
Zhang, koji sada ima 75 godina, bio je potpredsjednik premijera između 2013. i 2018., a bio je član Stalnog odbora Politbiroa između 2012. i 2017. Jedan od najmoćnijih kineskih političara nije javno reagirao na optužbe.
