Petra Martić (WTA - 32.), jedina preostala hrvatska predstavnica na teniskom US Openu u pojedinačnoj konkurenciji, probila se u utorak u drugo kolo pobjedom 6-3, 6-2 nad mađarskom kvalifikanticom Dalmom Galfi (WTA - 152.).

Martić će za plasman u treće kolo igrati protiv Ajle Tomljanović (WTA - 46.), Zagrepčanke koja igra za Australiju, koja je sa 6-3, 6-1 svladala Amerikansku Katie Volynets (WTA - 197.).

U svom devetom nastupu na US Openu Martić je lakoćom po peti put prošla prvu prepreku. Za 23-godišnju Mađaricu Galfi ovo je bio debitantski nastup na Grand Slam turnirima u kojem je pomogla 30-godišnjoj Dućanki s čak 42 neforsirane pogreške.

Za osvajanje prvog seta Martić je bio dovoljan 'break' u šestom gemu. Iako je povela s 2-0 u drugom setu, hrvatska tenisačica je nakratko izgubila kontrolu nad rezultatom, kad je dopustila Galfi da dođe do prvog, ali pokazalo se i jedinog 'breaka'. Od 2-2 Martić je nizom od četiri gema osigurala plasman u drugo kolo za 75 minuta igre.

Martić u međusobnim dvobojima protiv Tomljanović vodi 2-0, ali je od njhovog zadnjeg meča prošlo više od 10 godina. Relevantno je jedino da je Petra obje pobjede nad Ajlom ostvarila na tvrdoj podlozi, sličnoj onoj na kojoj se igra i u New Yorku. Njihov dvoboj 2. kola US Opena bit će na rasporedu u četvrtak.

Petra Martić (WTA - 32.), jedina preostala hrvatska predstavnica na teniskom US Openu u pojedinačnoj konkurenciji, probila se u utorak u drugo kolo pobjedom 6-3, 6-2 nad mađarskom kvalifikanticom Dalmom Galfi (WTA - 152.).

Martić će za plasman u treće kolo igrati protiv Ajle Tomljanović (WTA - 46.), Zagrepčanke koja igra za Australiju, koja je sa 6-3, 6-1 svladala Amerikansku Katie Volynets (WTA - 197.).

U svom devetom nastupu na US Openu Martić je lakoćom po peti put prošla prvu prepreku. Za 23-godišnju Mađaricu Galfi ovo je bio debitantski nastup na Grand Slam turnirima u kojem je pomogla 30-godišnjoj Dućanki s čak 42 neforsirane pogreške.

Za osvajanje prvog seta Martić je bio dovoljan 'break' u šestom gemu. Iako je povela s 2-0 u drugom setu, hrvatska tenisačica je nakratko izgubila kontrolu nad rezultatom, kad je dopustila Galfi da dođe do prvog, ali pokazalo se i jedinog 'breaka'. Od 2-2 Martić je nizom od četiri gema osigurala plasman u drugo kolo za 75 minuta igre.

Martić u međusobnim dvobojima protiv Tomljanović vodi 2-0, ali je od njhovog zadnjeg meča prošlo više od 10 godina. Relevantno je jedino da je Petra obje pobjede nad Ajlom ostvarila na tvrdoj podlozi, sličnoj onoj na kojoj se igra i u New Yorku. Njihov dvoboj 2. kola US Opena bit će na rasporedu u četvrtak.

Veliki derbi na US Openu: u drugom kolu grand slam turnira igrat će Petra Martić protiv Ajle Tomljanović

Petra Martić (WTA - 32.), jedina preostala hrvatska predstavnica na teniskom US Openu u pojedinačnoj konkurenciji, probila se u utorak u drugo kolo pobjedom 6-3, 6-2 nad mađarskom kvalifikanticom Dalmom Galfi (WTA - 152.).

Martić će za plasman u treće kolo igrati protiv Ajle Tomljanović (WTA - 46.), Zagrepčanke koja igra za Australiju, koja je sa 6-3, 6-1 svladala Amerikansku Katie Volynets (WTA - 197.).

U svom devetom nastupu na US Openu Martić je lakoćom po peti put prošla prvu prepreku. Za 23-godišnju Mađaricu Galfi ovo je bio debitantski nastup na Grand Slam turnirima u kojem je pomogla 30-godišnjoj Dućanki s čak 42 neforsirane pogreške.

Za osvajanje prvog seta Martić je bio dovoljan 'break' u šestom gemu. Iako je povela s 2-0 u drugom setu, hrvatska tenisačica je nakr...
