Drugi najmnogoljudniji australski grad ući će u petodnevno zatvaranje, rekle su vlasti u petak, zabranivši gledateljima da prisustvuju teniskom turniru Australian Openu.

U novom žarištu covida-19 povezanom s hotelom za karantenu u Melbourneu, glavnom gradu savezne države Victorije, u četvrtak je otkriveno 13 slučajeva, a vlasti su požurile zaustaviti širenje virusa.

Premijer Victorije, Daniel Andrews, najavio je zatvaranje savezne države, nazvavši postupak "kratkim, oštrim slamanjem širenja zaraze", zabranivši javna okupljanja, vjenčanja i vjerska okupljanja. 

"Neće biti publike na sportskim događajima u zemlji," rekao je Andrews.

Australian Open traje do 21. veljače. Publika je već bila ograničena na 50 posto svog uobičajenog kapaciteta.

"Moramo pretpostaviti da postoji više slučajeva  u zajednici nego što za to imamo pozitivne rezultate, i da se kreće brzinom koja nije viđena nigdje u našoj zemlji u periodu ovih 12 mjeseci", rekao je Andrews novinarima. 

Victoria je prošle godine bila u jednom od najstrožih i najduljih zatvaranja na svijetu.

Uoči najave, premijer Scott Morrison ponudio je punu podršku svoje vlade odluci Victorije da obuzda zarazu.

"Nosili smo se s izbijanjima zaraze u nekoliko prošlih tjedana u Sydneyju i Brisbaneu i Perthu, tako da adekvatan odgovor omogućava da se okonča zaraza i dođe do istih uspješnih rezultata koje smo vidjeli u drugim državama", rekao je Morrison novinarima.

Drugi najmnogoljudniji australski grad ući će u petodnevno zatvaranje, rekle su vlasti u petak, zabranivši gledateljima da prisustvuju teniskom turniru Australian Openu.

U novom žarištu covida-19 povezanom s hotelom za karantenu u Melbourneu, glavnom gradu savezne države Victorije, u četvrtak je otkriveno 13 slučajeva, a vlasti su požurile zaustaviti širenje virusa.

Premijer Victorije, Daniel Andrews, najavio je zatvaranje savezne države, nazvavši postupak "kratkim, oštrim slamanjem širenja zaraze", zabranivši javna okupljanja, vjenčanja i vjerska okupljanja. 

"Neće biti publike na sportskim događajima u zemlji," rekao je Andrews.

Australian Open traje do 21. veljače. Publika je već bila ograničena na 50 posto svog uobičajenog kapaciteta.

"Moramo pretpostaviti da postoji više slučajeva  u zajednici nego što za to imamo pozitivne rezultate, i da se kreće brzinom koja nije viđena nigdje u našoj zemlji u periodu ovih 12 mjeseci", rekao je Andrews novinarima. 

Victoria je prošle godine bila u jednom od najstrožih i najduljih zatvaranja na svijetu.

Uoči najave, premijer Scott Morrison ponudio je punu podršku svoje vlade odluci Victorije da obuzda zarazu.

"Nosili smo se s izbijanjima zaraze u nekoliko prošlih tjedana u Sydneyju i Brisbaneu i Perthu, tako da adekvatan odgovor omogućava da se okonča zaraza i dođe do istih uspješnih rezultata koje smo vidjeli u drugim državama", rekao je Morrison novinarima.

Zabranjena publika na Australian Openu, Melbourne ulazi u novo zatvaranje

Drugi najmnogoljudniji australski grad ući će u petodnevno zatvaranje, rekle su vlasti u petak, zabranivši gledateljima da prisustvuju teniskom turniru Australian Openu.

U novom žarištu covida-19 povezanom s hotelom za karantenu u Melbourneu, glavnom gradu savezne države Victorije, u četvrtak je otkriveno 13 slučajeva, a vlasti su požurile zaustaviti širenje virusa.

Premijer Victorije, Daniel Andrews, najavio je zatvaranje savezne države, nazvavši postupak "kratkim, oštrim slamanjem širenja zaraze", zabranivši javna okupljanja, vjenčanja i vjerska okupljanja. 

"Neće biti publike na sportskim događajima u zemlji," rekao je Andrews.

Australian Open traje do 21. veljače. Publika je već bila ograničena na 50 posto svog uobičajenog kapaciteta.
