Turnir tenisačica u Palermu, koji bi se trebao održati početkom kolovoza, a kojim bi se nakon gotovo pet mjeseci nastavila sezona na WTA Touru, mnogao bi ostati bez svoje najveće zvijezde, trenutačno druge igračice svijeta Simone Halep jer su talijanske vlasti uvele obaveznu 14-dnevnu karantenu za osobe iz Rumunjske i Bugarske.

Talijanski ministar zdravstva Roberto Speranza u petak je izjavio kako se 14-dnevna karantena za osobe koje dolaze iz Rumunjske i Bugarske uvodi s ciljem sprečavanja uvoza novih slučajeva zaraze virusom COVID-19.

Direktor turnira u Palermu, koji bi trebao početi 3. kolovoza, Oliviero Palma izjavio je kako je napisao hitno pismo Speranzi kako bi se od ove odredbe izuzele igračice koje će nastupiti na turniru.

- Primjenom ovakve odluke kaznit ćemo igračicu poput Simone Halep, druge na svijetu i aktualne pobjednice Wimbledona, koja više nikada neće nastupiti na našem turniru. Uvjereni smo kako su zdravstveni protokoli koje je odredio WTA toliko striktni da garantiraju sigurnost i zdravlje ne samo sportaša već i svih zaposlenih na turniru. Uvjeren sam da možemo dati sve potrebne garancije kako sve igračice koje dolaze iz Rumunjske i Bugarske mogu biti izuzete od odlaska u karantenu, a samim time bi morale i odustati od nastupa - napisao je Palma.

Prema pravilima WTA, sve igračice će se testirati na koronavirus prije dolaska u Palermo, ponovno po dolasku u Palermo te potom svaka četiri dana.

Turnir tenisačica u Palermu, koji bi se trebao održati početkom kolovoza, a kojim bi se nakon gotovo pet mjeseci nastavila sezona na WTA Touru, mnogao bi ostati bez svoje najveće zvijezde, trenutačno druge igračice svijeta Simone Halep jer su talijanske vlasti uvele obaveznu 14-dnevnu karantenu za osobe iz Rumunjske i Bugarske.

Talijanski ministar zdravstva Roberto Speranza u petak je izjavio kako se 14-dnevna karantena za osobe koje dolaze iz Rumunjske i Bugarske uvodi s ciljem sprečavanja uvoza novih slučajeva zaraze virusom COVID-19.

Direktor turnira u Palermu, koji bi trebao početi 3. kolovoza, Oliviero Palma izjavio je kako je napisao hitno pismo Speranzi kako bi se od ove odredbe izuzele igračice koje će nastupiti na turniru.

- Primjenom ovakve odluke kaznit ćemo igračicu poput Simone Halep, druge na svijetu i aktualne pobjednice Wimbledona, koja više nikada neće nastupiti na našem turniru. Uvjereni smo kako su zdravstveni protokoli koje je odredio WTA toliko striktni da garantiraju sigurnost i zdravlje ne samo sportaša već i svih zaposlenih na turniru. Uvjeren sam da možemo dati sve potrebne garancije kako sve igračice koje dolaze iz Rumunjske i Bugarske mogu biti izuzete od odlaska u karantenu, a samim time bi morale i odustati od nastupa - napisao je Palma.

Prema pravilima WTA, sve igračice će se testirati na koronavirus prije dolaska u Palermo, ponovno po dolasku u Palermo te potom svaka četiri dana.

Zbog obavezne karantene Halep bi mogla propustiti nastup u Palermu: Italija uvela ograničenje za osobe koji dolaze iz Rumunjske i Bugarske

Turnir tenisačica u Palermu, koji bi se trebao održati početkom kolovoza, a kojim bi se nakon gotovo pet mjeseci nastavila sezona na WTA Touru, mnogao bi ostati bez svoje najveće zvijezde, trenutačno druge igračice svijeta Simone Halep jer su talijanske vlasti uvele obaveznu 14-dnevnu karantenu za osobe iz Rumunjske i Bugarske.

Talijanski ministar zdravstva Roberto Speranza u petak je izjavio kako se 14-dnevna karantena za osobe koje dolaze iz Rumunjske i Bugarske uvodi s ciljem sprečavanja uvoza novih slučajeva zaraze virusom COVID-19.

Direktor turnira u Palermu, koji bi trebao početi 3. kolovoza, Oliviero Palma izjavio je kako je napisao hitno pismo Speranzi kako bi se od ove odredbe izuzele igračice koje će nastupiti na turniru.
