Stipe Miočić tijekom svoje je karijere u više navrata govorio o svom hrvatskom podrijetlu i isticao koliko se ponosi činjenicom da njegovi obiteljski korijeni sežu upravo do Lijepe Naše. Tijekom njegovog gostovanja na Born Primitive podcastu ponovno se otvorila tema njegovog podrijetla, a tom je prilikom najbolji teškaš u povijesti UFC-a otkrio i neke dosad nepoznate detalje povezane sa životom njegove obitelji nakon prelaska Atlantika - piše Fightsite.

"Moji su roditelji u Sjedinjene Američke Države stigli došli dobi od otprilike 18 godina, upoznali su se u Clevelandu i dobili prekrasnu bebu imena Stipe", rekao je Miočić u šaljivom tonu. Voditelj Bear Handlon potom ga je upitao kakvog je utjecaja na njegove životne vrijednosti i radnu etiku imala činjenica da je dijete iz imigrantske obitelji, koja je "trbuhom za kruhom" stigla na drugi kraj svijeta u želji za boljim životom, a razgovor je u tom trenutku postao značajno ozbiljniji.

"Čuo sam priče o odrastanju svoje majke, živjeli su u jednosobnom stanu i nisu imali doslovno ništa. Imali su jedan krevet za djeda i baku, te jedan za moju tetu. Naporno su radili i od svake plaće kupili nešto malo dok nisu popunili stan. U susjedstvu su živjeli sjajni ljudi koje su upoznali i na koje su se mogli osloniti, nastavili su raditi, a onda su se preselili i kupili kuću koju su s vremenom otplatili. Ponekad moraš krenuti s dna, a to je upravo ono što su oni napravili".

Miočić je posebno istaknuo koliko je na njega utjecala majka Kathy, koju je opisao kao izuzetno vrijednu ženu čija ga je životna filozofija učinila čovjekom i borcem kakav je danas.

Stipe Miočić tijekom svoje je karijere u više navrata govorio o svom hrvatskom podrijetlu i isticao koliko se ponosi činjenicom da njegovi obiteljski korijeni sežu upravo do Lijepe Naše. Tijekom njegovog gostovanja na Born Primitive podcastu ponovno se otvorila tema njegovog podrijetla, a tom je prilikom najbolji teškaš u povijesti UFC-a otkrio i neke dosad nepoznate detalje povezane sa životom njegove obitelji nakon prelaska Atlantika - piše Fightsite.

"Moji su roditelji u Sjedinjene Američke Države stigli došli dobi od otprilike 18 godina, upoznali su se u Clevelandu i dobili prekrasnu bebu imena Stipe", rekao je Miočić u šaljivom tonu. Voditelj Bear Handlon potom ga je upitao kakvog je utjecaja na njegove životne vrijednosti i radnu etiku imala činjenica da je dijete iz imigrantske obitelji, koja je "trbuhom za kruhom" stigla na drugi kraj svijeta u želji za boljim životom, a razgovor je u tom trenutku postao značajno ozbiljniji.

"Čuo sam priče o odrastanju svoje majke, živjeli su u jednosobnom stanu i nisu imali doslovno ništa. Imali su jedan krevet za djeda i baku, te jedan za moju tetu. Stipe Miočić tijekom svoje je karijere u više navrata govorio o svom hrvatskom podrijetlu i isticao koliko se ponosi činjenicom da njegovi obiteljski korijeni sežu upravo do Lijepe Naše. Tijekom njegovog gostovanja na Born Primitive podcastu ponovno se otvorila tema njegovog podrijetla, a tom je prilikom najbolji teškaš u povijesti UFC-a otkrio i neke dosad nepoznate detalje povezane sa životom njegove obitelji nakon prelaska Atlantika - piše Fightsite.

"Moji su roditelji u Sjedinjene Američke Države stigli došli dobi od otprilike 18 godina, upoznali su se u Clevelandu i dobili prekrasnu bebu imena Stipe", rekao je Miočić u šaljivom tonu. Voditelj Bear Handlon potom ga je upitao kakvog je utjecaja na njegove životne vrijednosti i radnu etiku imala činjenica da je dijete iz imigrantske obitelji, koja je "trbuhom za kruhom" stigla na drugi kraj svijeta u želji za boljim životom, a razgovor je u tom trenutku postao značajno ozbiljniji.
