Dan je splitskog sporta! Tko hoće, nek‘ čestita... A umjesto dara, evo još jedne tužne slike. Ova je baš prava. Uramljena, uokvirena, rekli bi. Na dan splitskog sporta prije osam godina, predstavljena je ideja Zaklade za sportsku izvrsnost Grada Splita. Na brzinu premotajmo film do danas – od Zaklade ni "z".
Bio je to ambiciozni gradski projekt s jednim ciljem: pomoći onima koji ostvaruju najbolje rezultate, pune borše medaljama, svijetom pronose slavu splitskog sporta.
- Ova zaklada je proizašla iz teškoće, sportaši Splita idu uvijek uzimati medalje i zato smo osnovali zakladu. Hrvatska izdvaja 0,12 posto svog budžeta za sport i to je malo, za bilo što u životu trebaju novci – govorio je tada prvi čovjek Splita Ivo Baldasar.
I dobro je bivši poteštat ustvrdio. Ništa bez novca... A njega je bilo. Ili je barem trebalo biti. Na istoj svečanosti tvrtka Tommy ponosno je Zakladi uručila "ček" od milijun kuna. Nije poznato je li novac ikada zaista dospio do zaklade ili je Tommy ipak odustao.
Čeka se...
Dan splitskog sporta potaknuo nas je da se prisjetimo ovog projekta. Od njega danas nema ništa konkretno. Ili u prijevodu – nikada nije u potpunosti zaživio. Kako doznajemo, Zaklada je trenutno u "stand by" opciji. Miruje, spava... Čeka neka bolja vremena.
No, umjesto boljih, pred splitskim sportom na obzoru su samo gora vremena. Spaladium Arena nije u funkciji. Čak i s njom terena i termina je premalo za sve. Davis Cup na kojemu se ovih dana "praši" na Gripama samo je dodao sol na ranu. Nesretni Davis s Gripa je privremeno deložirao brojne splitske klubove.
Jedna nevolja na drugu. Mantra o Splitu kao najsportskijem gradu na svitu odavno ne drži vodu. Štoviše... Sve i da Zaklada postoji i djeluje, kome bi pripale potpore? Gdje je izvrsnost? U prvi plan uspjesima se nameće marjanski taekwondo kao jedan od rijetkih stotinama medalja ovjenčanih kolektiva. Hajduku to ne treba, Žuti se već godinama bore...
Poklona za rođendan, kako rekosmo, nema. A neće ga ni biti u vidu Europskih igara u Splitu. Ni službene odluke još nema, ali kako sada stvari stoje, ništa od novog MIS-a u gradu pod Marjanom. Nedostaje interesa, volje, želje... Novca?

Dan je splitskog sporta! Tko hoće, nek‘ čestita... A umjesto dara, evo još jedne tužne slike. Ova je baš prava. Uramljena, uokvirena, rekli bi. Na dan splitskog sporta prije osam godina, predstavljena je ideja Zaklade za sportsku izvrsnost Grada Splita. Na brzinu premotajmo film do danas – od Zaklade ni "z".
Bio je to ambiciozni gradski projekt s jednim ciljem: pomoći onima koji ostvaruju najbolje rezultate, pune borše medaljama, svijetom pronose slavu splitskog sporta.
- Ova zaklada je proizašla iz teškoće, sportaši Splita idu uvijek uzimati medalje i zato smo osnovali zakladu. Hrvatska izdvaja 0,12 posto svog budžeta za sport i to je malo, za bilo što u životu trebaju novci – govorio je tada prvi čovjek Splita Ivo Baldasar.
I dobro je bivši poteštat ustvrdio. Ništa bez novca... A njega je bilo. Ili je barem trebalo biti. Na istoj svečanosti tvrtka Tommy ponosno je Zakladi uručila "ček" od milijun kuna. Nije poznato je li novac ikada zaista dospio do zaklade ili je Tommy ipak odustao.

Dan splitskog sporta potaknuo nas je da se prisjetimo ovog projekta. Od njega danas nema ništa konkretno. Ili u prijevodu – nikada nije u potpunosti zaživio. Kako doznajemo, Zaklada je trenutno u "stand by" opciji. Miruje, spava... Čeka neka bolja vremena.
No, umjesto boljih, pred splitskim sportom na obzoru su samo gora vremena. Spaladium Arena nije u funkciji. Čak i s njom terena i termina je premalo za sve. Davis Cup na kojemu se ovih dana "praši" na Gripama samo je dodao sol na ranu. Nesretni Davis s Gripa je privremeno deložirao brojne splitske klubove.
Jedna nevolja na drugu. Mantra o Splitu kao najsportskijem gradu na svitu odavno ne drži vodu. Štoviše... Sve i da Zaklada postoji i djeluje, kome bi pripale potpore? Gdje je izvrsnost? U prvi plan uspjesima se nameće marjanski taekwondo kao jedan od rijetkih stotinama medalja ovjenčanih kolektiva. Hajduku to ne treba, Žuti se već godinama bore...
Poklona za rođendan, kako rekosmo, nema. A neće ga ni biti u vidu Europskih igara u Splitu. Ni službene odluke još nema, ali kako sada stvari stoje, ništa od novog MIS-a u gradu pod Marjanom. Nedostaje interesa, volje, želje... Novca?
